SWRPF Archive NEON GENISIS EVANGELION RPG

It had been four days since the Angel incident. Life went on as normal. School stayed on course because the Angel didn't cause any damage to the surrounding area, only to NERV headquarters. NERV operations continued smoothly afterwards as well. The Angels damage had not been as severe and there were mop up crews taking care of it now. The pilots had shaken off the incidents effects and had tried to reason out what had exactly happened.

That is all except one.

It had been four days since anyone had seen Shinji Ikari. He hadn't gone to school or NERV. He hadn't even shown his face in his appartment to Misato or Pen Pen. He hadn't left his room at all even to eat.

Everyone was worried including Asuka who wouldn't admit it to anyone, especially herself. Charlie, Touji and Kensuke had shrugged it off as just the fact that he needed some time alone. But Mana was down right terrified. This wasn't like Shinji at all. When he hadn't picked her up for their date she had gone to the appartment but no one answered the door. She tried phoning him but his cell was turned off. She was scarred for him.

His father's words ran continually in Shinji's head as he listened to his collection of classical music. His father had been given the chance to have everything...Shinji, mom, and even stop the war now but he'd not only chosen to forward the war....he'd chosen the pointless war OVER Shinji and Yui. He'd even repudiated his own name to adopt the name of Edmund Keele whom his father supposadly as much as Shinji hated his father or wanted to.

Adam and Lilith had also more or less buried the Evil Angel lie to the ground that Karou and Ramiel had already severely beaten. In the short time that Shinji had known them they had proven affectionate, compassionate, and he'd....felt that they'd wanted to be his family oddly enough like Rei had tried to be and his mother despite her condition.

Mana had tried to comfort him...but then again so had Asuka before she'd betrayed him. Even Misato who'd come and felt his leg before he'd asked her to leave. He didn't want to think on that, just have her go to her beloved Kaji

He was lying on the bed, still in his clothes from four days ago. He had barely moved, only to get up t o change the SDAT tape and then back to the bed. He was slowly beginning to realize that his goals were useless in world run by men and women like Gendo and Edmund. He had stopped refering to Gendo as his father. His father wasw dead to him after he made the choice to choose another path. So he lay there on the bed and listened to the music. He had heard Mana's calls to him when she had come over on saturday but had ignored them. He didn't deserve human companionship right now.

There was another knocking at his door "Shinji...its Mana. Misat...okay I broke in. Well actually the penguin let me in and I'm not sure which is more disturbing. You haven't been answering your calls. I'm worried."

She said "I thought you might be sick so I made some soup."

He looked up slightly but put his head back down. He had locked the door after Misato so no one else would just barge in. He just stared up at the ceiling and didn't answer her.

After a minute he could still feel her standing at the door.

"Shinji....I have no idea what the Hell happened last week. Rei and James are Angels.....Angels aren't bad. There's a big funny underground complex under NERV-Japan. Your father has a magic spear....clones..." Mana said "But I know your father said some awful things to you....and he think he meant them. If this is about that. I want to be there for you during them."

She paused "I think we could be good together."

Mana didn't want to mention James and Rei had not left her apartment since then either, they seemed not to recognize anyone but each other or speak to anyone. It was like James when he'd first come to NERV....shells of men.

He rolled the other way on his bed. "I'm not hungry." he said loud enough for her to hear through the door.

"Please just go Mana. I'm not the

Outside of SEELE headquarters

Captain Louis looked upon the gigantic mansion and the many guards as Serena Barton stood beside him in a black nightsuit. They were on a mission...one that may cost them their lives. How they had gotten here was an interesting story indeed.

A few months ago

It had been a terrible trial interview for Captain Louis, he'd been grilled hard and forced to say some things he didn't want to about Commander Ikari. Serena had taken him to the back of the trial quarters to comfort him though....and also say she had suspicions this trial was rigged.

It was then some of SEELE's agents walked around the corner and Serena kissed Woods to
cover up their meeting, it was good...

Louis played along. He enjoyed being
an actor. It was a little hard to focus on the gravity of the situation with this. But his mind snapped back as she pulled away. Louis flagged down a cab and got in with his arm around er waist.

It was then that everything went to Hell
as the Angel appeared "My God it is true...it tracked down Rei and James!"

Louis and she ran for their lives against the tide of the Angel that destroyed everything in its path.

They were met soon by the presence of a limosine that most certainly boded ill in the form of Secretary General Keele's vehicle.

"Get in," Keele muttered.

Both Serena and Louis had been reluctant but the female assistant with the pistol in her hands and the angel at their back was most persuasive.

"You give an awfully convincing arguement..." Louis muttered before climbing in as the limo pulled off.

Keele said "I want you to do me a favor Mr. Louis..."

Louis stared at him "I don't know why I should do that demon."

"I prefer more precisely to think of myself as the Devil," Keele said as he promptly shot himself in the skull with his assistant's gun.

Louis and Serena had been stunned, but even more so by the sight of the man healing before their eyes.

Keele spoke "I thus made my point."

"What do you want from us?" Louis said.

"It is to our mutual advantage that we work together. There are WORSE things in the universe than me." Keele smirked as the man brought the limo to a halt at the end of the emergency airport evacuating people from the island.

They soon fled to a hotel in Houstan to discuss their situation.

"What do you know?" Louis had asked and she had replied.

"I'm part an organization Louis called the Sixth Day. We've been investigating NERV and Seele since Second Impact. Kozo Fuyutski was our leader until he left to join the grouop. We thought....we think they might even have been responsible for all this and more and more what I see in the labs, I'm sure of it."

Louis had said "What can I do to help?"

Serena said "Maybe at their headquarters in France there's SOMETHING that can be used against them."

Louis replied "I'll do anything I can."

And they had spent the night in each other's arms.

For Louis now it was imperiative that they get in and put an end to this madness for good.

Louis handed Serena a gun, a few grenades and some ammunition clips. "You know how to use a machine gun?" he asked.

The look on her face seemed reassuring enough. Louis had 'compensated' a few fire arms while he was suspicious of Gendo trying to murder him. Louis himself had a fully automatic machine gun along with some ammo and grenades of his own. "Ready?"

 

OOC: We'll collab on the next one there louis.

The operatives said as they led Shinji into a Dark Room with Misato and ironically Mana whom was talking to Hikari. "Shinji!" Hikari said running over to the man developing his first five o'clock shadow and hugging him "We were.....peeeeyou!"

He balked at seeing her. Everything Charlie had said last night came back to him. He had been half listening but now his memory kicked in. Unfortunately. "Oh god." he threw his hand up over his eyes to hopefully block out the mental image. He then composed himself as she made her reaction.

He smelled his clothes and realized he had been wearing them for almost six days now. "I don't suppose I have time for a shower?" he asked with a lopsided grin that disappered just as quickly. "I'm very sorry for my behaviour these past few days. I needed some time to search myself for answers."

Misato stared, Shinji was red as a lobster and it hit her. OH MY GOD! SHINJI AND HIKARI WERE HAVING SEX!

"its over there," Hikari wondered why Shinji was checking her out and figured it was her new womanly vibe....oooo it was soooo shameful.

Mana says "Well Misato was about to eat your soup."

Misato blinked "No I wasn't! There's a change of clothes over there Shinji. We also were going to do some more naked Synch tests today." she grinned.

Mana looked up at her "Are you surreeeee you?re an adult Major Katsuragi?"

He quickly got into the shower and washed himself off. They thought it would be funny to give him his clothes one size too small as payback for his rude behaviour and he came back out with a veryt ight shirt on and his pants were very snug. "Haha....very funny!" he said.

He walked over to Mana. "I uhh....wanted to appologize for yesterday and the day before that." and after a pause. "And the day before that."

Mana said "You can keep on apologizing. Those Gundam things don't come very often."

She said "But accepted. I was just worried about you. Glad you were able to get your head straight though."

she slapped then his keister. "And this."

He blushed and turned his head away quickly so no one would see. "What was that for?" he asked after he had gotten himself under control.

"For what you did." she replied with a hint of a smile.

On impulse he reached out and pinched her side and got the reaction that she was ticklish.

Misato looked up then as she listened to the reciever "Uh huh. This is only a false alarm. Don?t worry. Your running away got you bumped down as sixth on the list to confront angels though.? She frowned "Stupid fools."

Mana said "Where am I on this list though?"

Misato frowned "Welll....uhhh....your actually taking the point position next battle.?

Mana blinked "Uhh." she wasn't yet comfortable with the EVAs.

Shinji sat down on one of the benches. "That's fine." he said a little disappointed.

He then turned to Mana. "Umm....there's something I have to ask you?"

"Ok." she looked to him smiling.

"In Japanese culture it is customery for me to ask your father to start dating you. Since you don't have a father or mother, the closest relative is Misato. Is it alright if I ask her? It would make me more comfortable."

Mana nodded "By the way, I'm moving if its okay. Uhhhhh Rei's gotten damn creepy."

Misato said "That and she and James are going at it like bunnies."

Hikari nodded knowingly

"Um...okay....where are you moving to? You know so I can come over and all?" he asked.

Misato tapped her fingers and looked away "Its only temporary but we're trying to bond the EVAs to working coordinated until they don't uhh...kill each other."

"You mean...?" he looked between Mana and Misato and it hit him. "You're moving in?" he asked increduosly.

She nodded.

He got up quickly and walked over to Misato. "Uh Misato. Can I ask you something?"

"Sure Shinji." he sat down beside her. "Your the closest thing that Mana has to a relative. What I'm trying to ask is....can I have your permission to date her?" he asked squeezing his eyes

 

Misato's Place

Two months of no Angel...

Misato's new training regime was a bizzare one to say the least and required Unit-04 and Unit-01 to work in tandem ever since Maya's own EVA had finally had its S*2 engine installed and it had grown suddenly a pair of golden wings that again somehow worked despite no feasible way that it could possibly do so. While clearly the lesser EVA and pilot, Shinji found they worked well together but perfect coordination was something that Misato was after for some reason.

Shinji had first discovered Mana's incredible temper and frustration at this point as she descended often into Liverpool cockney to describe her feelings and lashed out quite often though she always apologized afterwards and tried to be extra affectionate on their dates. Some of these dates had introduced Shinji to sites he'd never wanted to see in his life such as coming across Rei as Sailor Mercury at the first ever Tokyo-3 comiccon.

He came to the realization why Mana had wanted to repress those memories of when she was living there. He went to these places because of Mana. He was falling for her and he knew it. At first he tried to deny it but it just wasn't working. So he had decided to just let it happen.

He sat in the hanger as they prepped Unit-01's entry plug for him. After these months he had gotten a little more clearence to use Unit-01 again. He was still pissed at Gendo and would probably be for the rest of their lives, but he didn't care. He had his family now. Hi close group of friends and that's what mattered to him now.

James meanwhile stood staring up at the Units in his lab coat. James had grown very mechanical and quiet in his time here and well...more of a geek than ever but he remembered Rei and Rei looked after him, he'd also remembered shinji and made occasionally odd comments about his current existence that seemed wise if....odd again. He was however now doing alot of Ritusuko's old job and it was kind of disconcerting to see his dispassion about most things even if Shinji knew he and his sister were...uhh...up to alot.

Mana meanwhile walked in with a stunned look on her face, clutching a letter.

James paused as he looked at an electric clipboard and said "The Units are now prepped for Underwater use Shinji. You should be finishing your swimming training with Mana soon."

He checked a paper underneath it. "Good evening Pilot Jetalone."

She picked up the letter and handed it to Shinji as she sat down, putting her arms around her legs.

Her eyes closing and tears running down her face.

He opened up the letter quietly. His hands were trembling because she was really upset. He started to read.

From: Sub Commander Fuyutski

We regret to inform you that there was an accident in placing the S*2 Engine in Unit-00 in NERV-United States. Though the details remain classified the unmanned EVA underwent A-Syndrome which resulted in the destruction of the ent

 

Shinji was awoken by the sun hitting his face. He tried to remain asleep but the sun, after a couple of minutes, won. He lay there and looked to the ceiling. 'Was that adream?' he asked himself. 'Was it just some twisted dream I had that made me think I was actually with a girl last night? Or real?' he came to the conclusion it was probably just a dream. 'I mean come on! I've never had any luck in life, why start now.'

He went to get up but felt a weight pressing down on his stomache and lower chest. He looked down to find Mana wrapped in his covers and her head lying on his chest. She was fast asleep. 'Holy! We actually.....'

He watched her sleep and didn't want to wake her. She looked so cute, so soft lying there. He was happy that, at least for the moment, he could make her forget about the devastation of her home.

Mana nuzzled close to Shinji as she looked very peaceful in his bedroll and the Eva pilot felt his body respond. He actually had been with her, a few times actually as they'd both learned quite a bit about each other during the experience. It was something that was enough to reduce him to tears since it had actually been a moment of absolute trust where he knew there wasn't any deception or indignity involved or being used....

It had been what it was. The best part of Shinji's life thus far.


He ran his hand through her hair gently. That's when he smelled the tea. It smelled pleasent and it ignited his senses. He looked for a way to pull away without waking her but saw no way. He glanced at the clock and realized that it was past the middle of the day. Even though this was a perfect moment in his opinion he knew it was time to get up. He tried his best to move from her in the least disturbing way.

He managed to do it as she then grabbed the pillow and started to nuzzle it. He grabbed his clothes and put them on. He then ventured out to see why there was the smell of tea in the morning.

Misato was scribbling something in a pink shirt and panties while Pen Pen was in a smoking jacket and smoking a pipe while he looked over at Shinji. Misato seemed to have a far away look in her eye as she looked over at Shinji and actually seemed embarrassed.


"Sorry." he said as he looked away. "I just smelled the tea and thought I'd wake myself up a little on something besides pop for a change." he gave her a lopsided grin. "Is there any left? Morning Pen-Pen."

"Whack," Pen Pen said.

"I know. I came in to check on you around three am." she paused and actually you never thought you'd see Misato blush. "I made some for you. Its good too."

"Whack," Pen Pen said.

"Okay Pen Pen made it." Misato frowned.


"Oh.....my........ummmmmm...." he was not sure what to say.

He delayed by going and grabbing some tea. "Thanks...ah....hmmm....are you upset?" he asked her taking a first tentative sip of the tea.

He was treading on very dangerous ground. This was an adult, sort of, and they tended to get upset when stuff like this happened.

Misato said "Were you ready?" she asked.


He coughed up some of the tea. "I'm sorry?"

"I mean were you ready? As in prepared." she said as she sipped her morning coffee.

She said "Emotionally, physically, spiritually..." she coughs "And stuf for you knowf."


"Um...yeah. Let's just leave it at that and not analyzie it. She needed me and I needed her. Ok." he sipped his tea.

Mana then poked her head out from around the corner. She had put back on her neglige but had his blanket around her to hide it. "Morning." she smiled to Shinji. "Morning." she said again but it was full of....something. He couldn't put his finger on it but he knew he liked it.

She then went back around the corner to go to her room and change.

Misato said "Fair enough. Well get ready for some FUN IN THE SUN!" she then raised her hand over the table for a high five.

Shinji looked at her "Man I feel old." she sat down.

Misato reached behind the couch and then pulled out a beach ball she whapped against Shinji's

It had been about six months since that attack. The Angel was dealt with by the time Shinji had rejoined the fight. Mana had essentially kicked its ass. After that it had become quiet, he concentrated on school and managed to improve his grades to graduate as number 3 in the class. Right behind Mana and Rei.

He and Mana had enjoyed the down time together to improve their relationship. They were now very close despite their young age it was like they had lived together for years. Misato tried to discourage them of this but in the end she just ignored them, well with a smile on her face as she did so.

He was thinking of asking Mana and then Misato if they could tear down the wall between their rooms and see about making it one room. The one thing Misato did discourage them from when she caught them was sleeping together. Something about only proper married Japanese people had that priviledge. He could have thrown that back in her face but he rather liked the challenge.

Mana had had to leave about two months ago to go back to the States to deal witht he unplesant business of having her fathers company signed over to her. She was supposed to come back tonight on their six month anniversary and irronically his birthday. He was now 15. He still couldn't get over that he was dating a 16 year old.

He smiled again as he checked on the pizza he had cooked for the two of them in the oven. He had a romantic evening planned for the two of them but he still had one more obstical to overcome. And that obstical just popped her head into the kitchen.

"Oooooh that smells good!" Misato said.

Misato smiled "So Shinji, what's the special occcasssssion? You gonna proppppooooooose?"

Pen Pen meanwhile waddled out into the kitchen and pulled out some seasoning for Shinji even as he had a napkin over one wing. Shinji could have sworn someone had laid out the table but it certainly didn't look like it would be something Misato would be doing. She was thankfully dressed for another evening with Kaji Ryo whom had been going out with her fairly steadily since a wedding she'd attended.

"What? I'm only 15! I'm still living with my parental unit. I don't think I could make that step." she giggled at his obvious uncomfortableness. "But I did wanna ask you something. Ummm. Would it be alright, you know depending on what Mana says, could we make our rooms one?"

Misato said "Honestly Shinji I'm not sure that's a terribly good idea. In some respects the door that exists between you is meant to represent a barrier that is conveyed by your immaturity and current position that keeps you from becoming fully one together. It is a hurdle and obstacle that will eventually be overcome but only when your both fully mature individuals ready to commit to living together."

She said "Besides Shinji Mana is a pig. Your room would become worse than mine."

She paused "I'll think about it Shinji seriously though."

Pen Pen meanwhile sighed as he handed Misato a pair of underwear before she looked highly embarrassed, it had been on the counter. "Oye."

He smiled. "Thanks 'mom'. I did get her something though." he pulled out a small box and opened it to reveal a pair of gorgeous diamond earrings. "I saved up an entire months pay from Nerv for those." he had a look on his face that Misato had seen on her own face when she had thought of Kaji over a hundred times, it was a look that even if she said anything to him right now he wouldn't hear it because he was lost in his own world thinking about her.

After a moment she got a glass of water from the fridge. She had cut back slightly at the insistance of all other present in the appartment including Pen Pen. "I know you have been apart for a while." She patted his head. "I know you care about her, but see if when you have matured more that if it is in fact love."

He gazed up at her. "Misato, I am the oldest 15 year old you have ever met. And I do love her." he left her to finish prepping the table. "Thanks Pen Pen."

Shinji was in Unit-01 since they got to NERV. At the insistence of Gendo they had been placed in their Units to put their minds at ease and get their most optimum sync rates. Shinji enjoyed the chance to spend time with his mother. He "talked" to her on and off while he waited. He found the more time he spent inside Unit-0, the more easily he could talk to her. He had told her of the picture Mana had gotten him of him and her when he was younger. He talked a lot about Mana as well.

'She really is great, I'm falling more and more in love with her everyday.'

He smiled to himself. 'I really do hope we get through this next one. From what I've heard they don't know how many of them there will be. It sounds like it will be a real slug fest.'

Charlie switched on the comm as he said "Hey Shinji....thought I'd talk to you a bit before the Battle of Helm's Deep. You would not believe the kind of stuff that they have out there for us to use against these things."

He was brought out of his thoughts. "Hey, how's it going? Really? They have a lot of stuff for us to use? This is bad, they're really worried about this one." he looked to the silent figure of Unit-02. He focused back on the live feed of Charlie. "Do you think we'll all make it through this one Charlie? I mean this does seem like a lot of preperation?"

Charlie says "Well given the fact you're the Chosen One Neo I think you'll make it out of this fine. Same for James and Rei since I don't...they're IMMORTAL."

He paused

"James told me the whole weird Biblical story by the way. He also cracked some codes on the Magi to get some real information on what's ahead. It doesn't look good."

Shinji lowered his head. "Yeah, I got that impression too. And can I ask you one thing?"

"Sure thing buddy." he replied.

"Stop calling me the chosen one or Neo, I really don't like that. I'm just plain old Shinji. I'm no different than you are, I just have a different role in this story, that's all."

"Yeah I know, the Hero." Charlie says. "Besides the hero is always a whiny puss....err nevermind. I'll respect your wishes Luke. I personally prefer to be considered the rugged Han Solo sexy type anyway."

He pauses "By the way Shinji if you see my father on this battle and I'm dead. Kill him for me would you? He murdered my mother to power this thing and he merged with the Unit when they tried uploaded the S*2 engines in it so he could pilot em in place of mana."

"So I'm the whiney kid who is infatuated with his sister?" he smiled. "Well I hope Mana isn't my sister cause that would just be gross."

His expression turned serious. "I will Charlie. I know he's your father but he has killed human beings in cold blood and for that I will gladly step next in line to deliver justice to him."

He looked across the cages to Unit-04 and wished he could see that far with his own eyes to see Mana. "Because of all the pain he has caused to his fellow man."

"Well you used to like Rei as I recall," Charlie said as they then powered their Units. "Okay we've all got S*2 engines installed so no power problems this time. We're now supposed to head out towards the ocean, pick up our weapons compliment and according to mission description....kill every last stinking one of them."

He pauses "I've got a bad feeling about this."

Shinji thought about Charlie's comment and realized it was true, he was a lot like Luke. 'Alright let's go.'

They arrived and noticed the huge cache of weapons waiting for them. Shinji picked up one AP Machine gun and a long very sick looking sword for his other hand. "So anyone know where they are coming from?" he asked to no one in particular.

James says "East......and if they get their numbers in then North and South as well."

They soon were at the harbor and Shinji noted that the entirety of the sky was being blacked out with some sort of electrical storm that did not seem natural at all.

"This looks bad, okay everyone check they're battery levels just in case that storm interferes with our power system feed from NERV." he looked

 

I apologise for the interruption in play, but the thread author is demanding a new RPG and to neccissitate this I must lock this current RPG.

I'll hold off on locking for a few days so whoever is acting as thread GM/leader for now can PM me and we can arrange a new thread for this RPG to continue from.
