    That was the vacation planet plucking a stereotype from Kirk's mind, no way Finnegan was that bad. He seemed positively heroic in Star Trek Beyond

    By the way, that particular scene in Lower Decks
    had a Borg kid in the future class... [face_thinking] Interesting in light of Picard, isn't it?

    I think Discovery dropped

    it's first reference to the Borg when asking about a Hive Mind of species 10-C. May or may not confirm if they exist in that time but they're known enough for people to use them as a frame of reference.

    I am starting to wonder where they are but Picard may take care of that. (great "assimilation" scene in the latest episode, by the way. full on acting clinic by Allison Pill)

    Never read any Post-DS9 books, but I imagine some suffering continued.

    In my headcanon, there is no way O'Brien would be a teacher for long.

    Much like being an officer...it doesn't suit him.

    I suspect he was in a jefferies tube at Utopia Planitia or part of some R&D team around earth before too long.

    Keiko and the kids can be close to home, and he can still swear at circuits.

    Only thing missing is his Bro-Crush.
