    I survived running my first half marathon since surgery. Yea, for those of you paying attention I am taking my kids to their first Hanson concert the same day I signed up to run a half marathon. So 1/2 of my very exciting day is over and usually I don't take off the day after concerts, but I am fairly certain I will be really glad I put in to have tomorrow off work.

    The key is to just interweave the majority of your time here with some other, considerably direr commitment. Then it shifts from complicated feelings about "Oh, I spent X years on a Star Wars message board" to complicated feelings about "Oh, I went to grad school and message boards were involved I guess."

    ... Hypothetically.

    I was going through a box of old bits and pieces from the cellar, and I found this hand-writing quote by me in amongst it all. I have no memory of it, but it made me smile.

    “Well," said Pooh, "what I like best," and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn't know what it was called.”

    Winnie the Pooh is legit one of the best books I've ever read.

    Besties, school was out today so we worked from home. Aaaand it was just canceled for tomorrow, so same for tomorrow. Woohoo!

    Besties my family saw Jumanji: The Next Level last night, and my dad, who adores silly comedies and action movies, hated it.... how? It seemed right up his alley and everyone else in the family liked it. Silly dad. It's such a dad movie.

    I wish this were Christmas week :( It's all snowy and would have made for a great Christmas. Instead it's probably going to be like 60 degrees next week, which just feels wrong.
