JCC new best friends club thread

I was doing some passport stuff today and I found out there’s something called a passport card. Which is basically a passport except you can only travel to basically Mexico and Canada with it and only by sea and car. It is cheaper than the traditional passport book. But unless you’re really committed to never flying outside of America I don’t think it’s worth it.

anyway what’s funny is on the certificate of naturalization my picture is the same picture on my green card which I think I got renewed last in like 2015. So someone was like is this you? You look way younger. Yes I look 10 years younger don’t blame me for the picture the government decided to put there.

also I guess having the card would be better proof of your citizenship than the flimsy piece of paper they give you if your naturalized I wonder if it has your address? Could be a good way to prove your address. I can see the value in it. Even if you don’t plan on ever traveling outside America.

 

Yeah the card is mostly for people who live near the border and need to travel back and forth a lot.

 

I cross the US Canada border pretty often with just my passport. Rarely takes more than a minute. I doubt it would go any faster with a card.

 

I think it's more like it'll fit in your wallet easily if you commute there or something. I dunno. It does seem a bit redundant.

I'd never club seals, or club with SEALS. I value my hearing.
