Hello, and welcome to the 2008 February New Stories Index for the Saga Board!

My name is lazykbys_left and I'll be hosting this index until they pry my cold, dead fingers away from it.

This index will be updated daily with new fan fiction stories from this board for the current month. At the end of the month, this thread will be added to the master list along with those from the Before the Saga and Beyond the Saga boards.

New stories will be added to this list as I find them. Hopefully I won't miss any, but you're welcome to send me the info for your fic via private message. Also, it would help a lot if you would put the following information into the first post of your fic:

The function of this thread is simply to list new fan fiction stories. If you need help in finding fics, please visit the Looking for fics? thread in Fan Fiction Resource. There's also a thing called the Link Machine which searches for words in the thread title.

Notes: This is my response to the I Dare You Challenge.
Additional A/N: Sly Moore sees in ultraviolet light which primarily means two things. 1) She sees "brightly" in the dark. If anyone watches CSI or any other forensic show, she sees what the CSI would see when they turn off the lights, put on the goggles and turn on the ultraviolet light. And yes, that means every tiny little stain invisible to the human eyes. 2) She does not see the same colors a human would. My research indicates what those colors are would vary, so I took total creative license with it. When I describe Obi-Wan's appearance, it's only as Sly sees him, not how he actually looks.

Notes: This is my submission for the Dare Challenge. The Dare is extremely weird, and if you were the one who issued it, Quigonjecca, I have no regrets as to the nature of my dare to you. Anyway, this was so weird, I couldn't think of anything for quite some time. Then, I decided to make it even weirder, and this is the result.
Notes 2: I know my Dare was done in Beyond, but as I left the choice between the Saga and Beyond open, I used the Saga myself. (This could all have been written in flashback, of course, but that would have been artificial.) And I have turned it into... something... Heh heh.
Oh, disclaimer and a pair of credits: he GFFA is owned by Lucas. The Magic Flute and the aria were written by Mozart, and Papageno is also his. Thrawn McEwok was the one to come up with the idea for blue Ewoks, and I just couldn't resist (McE, if you read this... , and no offense was intended - I hope you like it). The twisted plot, though, was all mine. And thanks to Ceillean for being German and thus providing the link between Mozart's opera and SW fanfic.

Notes: ok, well...with so many SW fans around here, and many of them I'm sure die-hard, this may not go over very well but what the heck? I'm going to try anyway. The first two parts are teh most ridiculous and the worst parts but I promise, parts 3-6 get a lot better. Parts 1, 3, and 5 are actually written off the prequel films; with a little bit of a twist. If you think this version is bad, you should've seen teh original before I went back and re-wrote it. Anyways, I ask that if you hate it, to not post and not to belittle me for it. Constructive criticism is welcome but please keep in mind: I have never once read any of teh EU books or any of the regular books so all my info on the EU events and characters is from sites like sw.com and wookieepedia.com...here goes

Notes: This is definitely Alternate Universe. I am assuming Episode I happened pretty close to canon but Episode II only happened in fragments. Any Anakin/Padme from Episode II is gone, didn't happen. The Clone War also started later in Anakin's life, he was 27 when it started and the war is still raging as his 31st life day approaches. He hasn't talked with Padme in nearly 20 years and only see's fleeting glances of her when he's rarely on Coruscant and at this point is not secretly in love with her. We pick up the story as plans are already being worked by the evil Sith Lords and the Republic seems to be tearing at the seams and against each other as well. I know the question will come up, so I will explain it now about Anakin being older. Before the prequels I always imagined Anakin being in his early 30's when he turned to the dark side. There are no hints from Alec Guinness' dialog that suggest this, it's just something I always thought. Obviously there are a 'some' complaints by 'some' fans about Anakin's maturity level in the new movies. I don't want that to be a concern in this, so in this story he is older, as I originally imagined him to be, and more hardened by war than what you might be used to. Obi-Wan might seem to have a funny bone, early in the story but this is only to contrast Anakin and any preconceived notions fans may have about his persona.
