How powerful are Vader's lightsaber skills in this time period (after the Mustafar battle)?

Yeah, he was trained by Vader after all, and only to the degree that he can take on people like Kanan.

If we get a new Inquisitor-type person, well...brainwashed Barriss, anyone?

...he's Darth Vader. The only people alive who could take him on if he's not just playing around are Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Sidious.

Would be interesting, especially if Ahsoka is Fulcrum.

The whole scene looks looks like a copy of the TPM with Kanan and Ezra fighting Inquisitor on the multilevels. The duel appears to take place in a Naboo style generator room hybridized with the Death Star style tractor beam(ANH) and throne room (ROTJ) sets. Kanan later using Ezra's lightsaber looks directly taken from the AOTC hanger duel when Anakin uses Kenobi's lightsaber and attacks Tyranus with two sabers.

Still VERY powerful. The suit restrained his flexibility and quickness but also increased his strength. Combine that with his increased strength in dark side force ability and he'd be powerful enough to handle the Inquisitor in his sleep.

Honestly he shouldn't even need to bring out his lightsaber to take care of the Inquisitor.

Why do they have to make Vader look mad?

This is how Vader looks in ANH

Why does his helmet have to look like. We know he's evil....don't have to force the look of it on his helmet.

Even in the first episode when he was a hologram he looked like that. It don't care for it.

Barriss would definitely be upgrade in terms of power. I never thought the Inquisitor was someone who could stand up to people who fought in the clone wars. His role in the Empire is mostly just to hunt down children. Barriss on a two decade long dark side trip is way more of a threat.

I understand they are using a lot of his looks....but since Rebels is in the Canon of the rest of Star Wars shouldn't some things stay the same? (Vader) In Revenge of the Sith Vader looks one way, then Rebels he'll change, then in ANH he goes back to the other look (I know if you compare ANH to ESB there are some changes as well, but they don't stand out as much as this mad look in Rebels). As far as canon goes shouldn't they be consistent?

Filoni has hinted towards an appearance by Barris Offee, maybe she's also an Inquisitor ?

I don't think Vader would kill the Inquisitor, no more so than Palpatine would kill Vader. It's not like Force choking an officer, when officers in the Imperial military are a dime a dozen. The Inquisitor would represent a small number of Force users in Palpatine's employ (the only one other than Vader that we know of). I don't think he'd be killed, except by Kanan.

I do see them echoing the films though in that I could see Kanan dying and someone else taking over Ezra's training. The whole journey of Luke didn't really begin until Obi-Wan died, before that he was just kind of along for the ride. That's not to say that Kanan will die in the finale, but it's a possibility. Same with the Inquisitor.

For instance, Kanan could kill the Inquisitor, and the heroes think the day is won, only for Vader to show up and Kanan holding him off and sacrificing himself so that the rest can escape. That strongly echoes what Obi-Wan does in ANH, but a whole lot of what's shown seems to echo what's been done before.

As much as I like Vader, I do like The Inquisitor. He's like a Fraiser Crane of the Sith.

I'm wondering if Kanan or Ezra could give in to their anger and end up becoming Vader's new Inquisitor.

This will be a finale long remembered.

Given everything that has happened this season (kyber crystal, destruction/infiltration of the tower, destruction of the new tie fighter, repeating making the inquisitor look dumb, stealing the ion weapons and blowing them up) I don't see how they can stay low profile anymore. With Kanan, excuse me Caleb Dume, having been captured it may be the right time for Vader to appear to try and extract information, then deal with the situation. I was a little concerned when I heard that Vader will definitely appear, and I am still a little worried, but I am interested to see at what point he turns up in the episode and what he does.

I see a small fleet of at least two CR90s, plus the Ghost.

    That has me kinda stoked.

I'm interested in seeing what they do with "Base-Delta-Zero", and if we see it in this series. Rebels re-canonized the concept, and it's possible that they might use it to justify transitioning to another planet, as for me personally, Lothal has gotten quite boring.

I'm wondering, if they do decide to kill off The Inquisitor, if maybe Ezra is the one who does it? As for Vader, I still think that he's WAY too powerful to be the direct antagonist for the Ghost Crew. But if they give him a more Tarkin-like role in Season 2, just spread out over the entire season, then maybe that could work. Have him send someone else, a more powerful Inquisitor or a "Dark Jedi," to do his dirty work for now.

Also, has it been confirmed whether or not JEJ is coming back to do the voice?

I'd assume he is, given that he voiced him in the extended version of the first episode.

Not only that, but it does look like there is a battle group of star destroyers in there too. Perhaps this is the event that will kick off the Galactic Civil War and bring the Rebel Alliance out into the open. I have watched the preview a couple of times now and I am seriously excited to see what happens next week. More rebels show up, Kanan and Ezra vs The Inquisitor, and Vader appears.

Indeed. The start of the Galactic Civil War would make sense, given the title.
