Filoni helped make Star Wars fun again with action-packed stories, great new characters and an incredibly engaging visual style.

Filoni gave substance and complexity to the political affairs in the PT era that IMO had been lacking in the films, excluding Palpatine's manipulation of events.

I love that Filoni sneaked in non-RGB lightsabers. RGB lightsabers are one of the worst elements of the prequels imho.

    @darklordoftech

Why? Makes sense. I like the other colours- yellow and orange but I don't see what the problem is with it. Enlighten me.

I just think it's cooler when characters choose their lightsaber color. It's more a feeling than anything else.

@darklordoftech Ah okay. I nderstand this but I think part of the PT Jedi is that uniform philosophy that leads to there fall. Qui-gon for one doesn't follow the council's orders so to me the lightsabers are just an extension of that.

In that case, why do some PT Jedi have blue and some have green? I would agree with you otherwise.

And why did Anakin have a green one as a Padawan and a blue one as a Knight?

I can only assume you are thinking of the lightaber he used in AOTC in the arena. His other lightsaber he used was blue until it was crushed in the factory. The one he used on the Battle of Geonosis in AOTC was thrown to him during the battle by another Jedi and was green.

@darklordoftech You just missed the point! For Jedi It's either Blue or Green. Except mace as he's got purple because of Vaapad (and Samuel L Jackson) They colours had a purpose though? I think? It's not exactly stated but wasn't it Sentinel and Guardian?
    Blue being more peaceful/force user
    Green being more violent/lightsaber.

Not sure if that's canon or not.

Yellow is used solely by the Temple Guardians... and apparently Ventress now, but she's a special case.

Then there's the awesome Darksaber, the best Lightsaber ever!

I didn't miss the point. The point was uniformity, and uniformity means all are the same, not half are the same.

I've just spent an inordinately long time being a bit critical of Big Dave on another thread (and stand by it) but just so my karma is nice and balanced going to add on this thread that even the decisions I disagree with him making, generally I can see why he made them. And if I were ever to have a corner of the SW verse to play with I really hope I could do half as good a job. ^:)^

Yes, it is uniform. Either Blue or Green. All canon Jedi apart from Mace have either blue or green. That's Jedi uniformity. All Sith have red.

I have a feeling Filoni still likes a lot of the EU material. I'm begging you, Filoni, please make Revan and the Old Republic era mentioned in the future! I know it won't make everything canon but at least the names will be canon and we can appreciate that.

In one of the Celebration interviews he says that he "likes to pillage from the EU" (someone then commented yes he does and screws it over) Why does it need to be canonised? If it matters to you the it's canon. At the moment it hasn't trod on any of the new content. Unless in the ST the villain is a sith from the past. Unlikely to be given what we know.

If KOTOR is canonized, I hope that the Rakata and the True Sith are combined and that their role in the climates of planets is removed.
