Rogue One [Official Info] Rogue One: A Star Wars Story - December 16, 2016

On the bright side my theatre now has reserved seating for EVERY screen there as of two weeks ago. So even if I don't make the first screening, I'll at least not have to wait in a long line.

Reliable word on the final TFA trailer and tickets didn't happen until about a week beforehand. The official site didn't confirm everything until the day prior.

 

Disney might go for Monday Night Football again for the last trailer. The MNF approach worked extremely well for them last year, so I wouldn't be surprised if they took this approach again. The game on the 24th looks like the best MNF game in October and will probably get the highest viewership (the game on the 17th looks weak and they're not doing it on Halloween).

I'm guessing final trailer will be released during MNF on October 24 and tickets will go on sale that night.

 

So guys, any news on pre-sales in North America (preferably Cineplex in Canada, but I assume they will all be the same day)

 

Is LFL at NYCC this week at all?

That picture is based on the old fortress of Masada, is it not?
The side-view already looked so familiar but the top-view really gives it away, especially since it still shows the old Roman siege ramp at the side. A great location btw.

 

I wonder how they get into the city on Jedha, it looks like they land outside and will have to find a way in.

There must be a secret passage, something like in Mackenna's Gold where Gregory Peck finds a way into a hidden canyon by the shadow from the sandstone spire Spider Rock falling on the passage at dawn. Mackenna's Gold could well be a significant clue because of a link to the franchise...

 

I just fell into a wikihole on this, fascinating stuff.

 

that looks like a great shot. symbolism and all. can you imagine how freakin scary it would be having a ship that size (and knowing its the Empire) hovering over a 'holy city'. the scale of it is immense and if the Story Group had pre-concieved ideas like this before hiring Edwards, i can see why they went after him for this after Godzilla - some of the shots in that movie really capture the scale of monster and city/battle.
