It's definitely still standing by Rebels. It appears in Darth Vader #1, set after ANH. It's only seen from the inside though.

Regardless of wherever he hangs out the most, it's still in the former Jedi Temple.

    Also from Tarkin, pg. 74

"The turbolift carried him to the top of the world. He stepped from the car into a large circular space with a perimeter of soaring windows that provided a view for hundreds of kilometers in every direction. A curved partition defined a separate space that Tarkin assumed was the Emperor's personal quarters. [...] [pg. 75] The Emperor emerged from his quarters as Tarkin was regarding a slender bronzium statue."

What is that little holocron toting alien in the foreground?

On the same wall that Luke is looking at (with the stormtrooper poster) there is a disguised Disney mickey logo. [face_sick]

The Togruta walking into the cantina while looking back over her shoulder towards Owen and Beru... even in this low res, the silhouette is pretty unmistakably Ahsoka. If that is indicative of how she'll look in Rebels, it looks like she's taken up ye olde tradition of cape-wearing. Edna Mode would not approve.

As much as I hated the dodgy release schedule, it made the final air on the perfect day. My Rebels withdrawal will be eased by HttJ and SotE on Tuesday and Princess Leia on Wednesday.

Hera might drop the gauntlet and tell Fulcrum to pound sand if he/she isn't willing to help out with the rescue. I know I would. After all, Hera and the crew have been the one taking all the risks. Alternatively, the fact that Hera and the rest of the crew are going with or without approval may convince Fulcrum to finally help. Or, maybe Fulcrum has a change of heart when he/she finds out Kanan's being sent to Mustafar?

Regarding Hera dying: I hate to say this, but Disney has a habit of killing off the Mother in stories, so I consider it a possibility.
Is that putting the Apprentice before the Master? Shouldn't Kanan be the first one to, unofficially at least, be knighted? Or do you feel he has already? I'm undecided on the issue, but I'm beginning to feel like everything that's taken place since Call to Action is really intended to represent Kanan's trial.

I saw this on twitter. It'd be funny to see this happen in the show, but not really. Shes too loud and annoying.

For some reason they really seem to have become this show's major crack pairing. Check out the image captions thread here sometime.

Have you seen this yet? (It came from Lit, Vader #1)

Perhaps the only change was an interior remodel, leaving the facade of the temple unchanged or minimally changed. Rebels should establish the state of the Jedi Temple Emperor's palace on-screen. It would be interesting to see the hallways with Imperial details.

Tarkin says the facade was heavily changed, except for the 5 spires.

If the whole temple thing is actually just a mistake on LFL's part there are easier ways to rectify it. Coming up with a legitimate reason to visit Coruscant and then animating the temple seems like it would be an unnecessarily massive project for Rebels to take on simply to fix a mistake. Placing an exterior shot or two in "Darth Vader" would be much simpler.

However there are two other options for the temple:
    1) We are getting new SE's and LFL are preparing the NEU for it.
    2) They are planning stories that change the exterior the temple multiple times.

I'm not just saying to do it just to fix a mistake. I'd like to see Coruscant anyway in Rebels during this time period when the Empire is popular there, to contrast it with places like Lothal and the many other Outer Rim worlds we see that dislike the Empire. I feel like I can count the number of core worlds that we see in the films on one hand: Coruscant, Alderaan... what else? EU maps put Cato Neimoidia and Scipio in/near the core, but I feel like those will be retconned, just because the Trade Federation was monopolizing the Outer Rim (and it makes more sense for them to be there), and because the idea of Separatists traveling nearly to the Republic core to secure loans doesn't make much sense, so I figure it too would be along the border somewhere.

Coruscant we saw plenty of in TCW and the films, when it was on the "good" side trying to fight the Separatists. But we haven't seen an Imperial controlled Coruscant that is now on the bad side and happy living under the regime. The closest we really got to that was the applause in the Senate when Palpatine declares the Empire. If the Emperor now resides in the old Jedi Temple, then they'd have to depict that place anyway. It would be no different than animating the Senate building or any other location. I'm not suggesting they take a detour to Coruscant just to set the canonical look of the Temple. I'd like to see the Ghost's crew wind up there eventually and/or on another core world like Alderaan, or any number of established or original planets they could create there.

Pablo and Luceno have both stated that the Empire is a popular thing in the wake of the Clone Wars, yet the OT never showed it. We only saw the Imperial military. Whether it be Kallus and/or The Inquisitor getting called to Coruscant to meet with Vader, Emperor or the ruling council, or if the Ghost goes there to spread more messages only to realize that nobody cares nor sympathizes with them and instead are content people that perceive the rebels to be the enemy, etc.

And yet the end of RotJ contradicts this also. With a massive celebration and a statue being taken down on Coruscant during the celebration scene.

TaradosGon I see what your saying, and I think we're basically in agreement. How could a star wars fan not want to see a gloriously animated Imperial Coruscant? :p

My only issue is that at this point the focus is very much on the outer rim. It's working pretty well, so they shouldn't go to the core worlds unless they have a good reason.

I think the key phrase there is "in the wake of the Clone Wars". It took twenty years for a serious rebellion to develop.

Well that was after the Senate was disbanded and the Empire showed that it was willing to blow up a core world. Also I don't know if The Force Awakens is going to acknowledge that scene in the SE as canon or what. It doesn't really bode well for the Empire when their capital world is in revolt, yet with stormtroopers and TIE Fighters in the teaser trailer, the Empire seems to have survived 40 years later despite revolts in the capital and the death of the Emperor. Coruscant might still firmly be under Imperial control, or maybe not (or it might not make an appearance or be referenced at all). We'll have to see.

They could handle it the way the old EU did, with rioting breaking out after the death of the Emperor that was later quashed by Imperial forces.
