Full Series Official Star Wars Rebels Discussion Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

It is funny, When I saw the first trailer for this show I was thinking Zeb would be my favourite character but now he's my worst! Him and Ezra are the two characters that make it seem Disney-like but the other characters like Kanan and Sabine keep the more serious tone. And Ahsoka and Vader will also keep the serious tone

 

Yeah, I'm looking forward to Hera, Sabine, and Zeb's background stories.

That's awesome that Rebels is coming in 3.0! Gonna be hard to pick which character to play as sometimes... No doubt I'll go Obi-Wan and level him up first and foremost, but I'll be torn between all the characters for attention...

And really excited for Saturday! Although I keep saying season premiere, yet I know it's not necessarily true. Guess I'll call it special event. I wish they'd just start airing season 2 right after Siege of Lothal, let it play up until TFA.

Kanan is going to be the one to save Ezra from Vader. I was expecting it to be Ahsoka or Ezra would fire his blaster

Ahsoka will not face Vader in this season; that duel most likely is the Rebels finale episode.

 

No, the series finale will be everyone celebrating on Alderaan when a suspicious object appears in the sky...

 

I legitimately want that to be the finale.

 

There's a new clip on IGN but if you guys can help it, DON'T WATCH IT! Saturday will be more that worth the wait! I was spoiled because I saw it at Celebration, where they didn't give us time to see a bunch of clips but I'm staying away from all the promotional material and just waiting for the real deal this weekend.

Sabine (and Vader by extension) have shown us why heroic characters shouldn't shy away from close-faced helmets.

Sabine gets hit twice with her own blaster fire reflected back at her! So I guess we will see how good her armor is against blasters.

At any rate, first season's theme was "the fire is ignited" for the rebellion, where as what we know so far this season seems to be "darkness falls." I can't help but feel that Filoni, the writers, and the other producers on the show have decided to take quote from The Dark Knight (probably said elsewhere first) to heart, "The night is darkest just before the dawn. And I promise you, the dawn is coming."

 

I regret watching that preview. It is one of the most spoiler heavy previews I have ever watched. Still, it confirms a lot of my suspicions about the episode.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. I hope she get's more armor this season though. Maybe those hits she took from the blaster fire will make her consider that decision.

Also...Vader was really amazing in that scene. I'm glad they aren't toning down his level of ****** on the show.

 

I thought we were maybe beginning to get a handle on these pauldron colors. Okay, maybe that's exaggerating things some, but I at least figured that we had orange pegged-down as signifying the rank of Commander. It wasn't much (what with still no word on what the red, white and black pauldrons stood for), but it was a start.

But now we see Darth Vader referring to this unidentified Imperial Stormtrooper as "Commander":







I know that it might not mean much in the grand scheme of things, but the SW geek in me really, really wants some clarity on the colors.

Can you help a fan out, Lucasfilm?
