Mini Series Official "The Book of Boba Fett" Discussion Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

I mean, I would prefer if they used new characters for this show.

 

There will be plenty of new characters.

 

I just hope it’s ok to ally different from Mando. Don’t go the MCU route where everything has the same palette figuratively speaking and let your directors really create. Which I think they’ve done I mean all of Deborah Chow’s episodes stuck out like sore thumbs and I mean that in a good way. They were just better shot than anyone else’s episodes. They got a nutty group of creatives working on SW right now and I’d really like to know who brought in this specific group of directors. Was it more Jon or Kathleen?

Correction: Her episodes and Rick Famuyiwa’s episodes were better shot than anyone else’s.

 

Love that Robert Rodriguez is gonna be involved. I hope he brings some more color to the palette.

I wonder if Valance is going to show up here as well. He’s been getting a lot of attention in comics recently and has a history with Fett.

 

Really looking forward to exploring the state of the post-Imperial / post-Jabba criminal underworld. I would have thought that was going to be the central focus of The Mandalorian, but I'm thrilled that it'll be seen through Fett's eyes.

 

I want this show to have an anomalous giant jawa...... we're talking like 6 1/2 to 7 feet tall, perhaps perfomed by a pro wrestler. His voice would be really deep, as if a jawa's voice has been chopped and screwed.
He'd be part of Boba's crew, maybe his majordomo, and everyone who deals with Boba needs to go through this jawa first.

Like, seriously, I'm not going to call anyone out, but I see folks that are fretting over the idea that there are "no new characters" or very little.

And I think that now's not the time to be fretting about that stuff because so far they have been focusing on people that aren't "legacy characters" and, secondly, just look at all their projects coming up; they aren't relying on the "Big Three" (Luke, Han, Leia).

Most of the characters are either obscure (at least starting out that way) or brand new so let's not panic over something that, for the time being at least, isn't happening.

 

Let's remember that Fennec Shand is barely a year away from having debuted as a new character. It feels like the timeline between a character debut and people saying "I can't believe they're overusing legacy characters like Shand in two new shows instead of creating someone new" is collapsing rapidly!

 

My fear is that at some point there will be too many new characters. lets take a look at some of the familier faces we seen previously and see who they are first

I would've thought there would be characters that appear in the background in the OT, especially bounty hunters and Jabba's thugs, they're apart of Boba's world as the new characters like Fennic
.

Four characters in ANH, each is a blank canvas for the writers. Personally I'd love to see these guys turn up looking to settle scores for their former boss.

 

what do y'all hope to see in this show?

 

Boba Fett and Fennec Shand kicking ass. And Coruscant.

 

Corucant, lower lelves, like in underworld.

 

Boba wearing a Cape over his armour on the Ring of Kafrene. Or a similar, rainy, Blade Runner-esque landscape.

I assume Kessel will be in there with the links to spice and the underworld.

New crimelords. Or re-purposed ones from non-canon.

Flashback Boba with Daniel Logan.

Sarlaac.

Maybe some of the other bounty hunters to bulk out his throne room as cameos. Bossk, Dengar. Maybe IG-88 and the others. Maybe some of the surviving bounty hunters from CW.

 

Yeah, I can see a rain homage to AOTC, nothing heavy handed, but I can already see those side by side clips on YouTube for some reason

Not sure what kind of Daniel Logan flashback we can get though as he’s not 10 years old anymore and late teen/20’s Boba was played by that other actor.

But I would be shocked if Bossk and Dengar wasn’t there. I would be comfortable enough to guarantee at least one of them be there. I’d wager Bossk as Filoni purposely made them a pair during TCW. I’m sure he’d love to bring an interaction between them in live-action.

 

Maybe Daniel Logan could play a young Jango in a flashback.

 

Why stop there? They should just bring this guy back while we're at it.
