Shad, In you dreams can you beat me at pool.

If you tried snooker i'm sure you'd at least give me a run for my money, something about there being more balls on the table, so even your eyesight can see them :D

My highest break on a full sized snooker table is a whopping 15. I am really crap at snooker but a lot better at pool. Maybe we should have a meet of a pool comp.

I'd be in for a few games, but it would have to be some quiet little place that had no boguns and a nice pool table. I'm no champ, but I do alright.

Here is one for the Oldies.
I just bought a game on my Playstation 2, called the Activision Anthology.
It has approx. 46 games on it and includes some classics from the Atari era like Pitfall 1 + 2, River raid 1 + 2, boxing, chopper command.
I played Pitfall 2 yesterday (I have not played that in over 20 years) and i remembered most things about it and completed it in an hour or so.

why buy, when you can download an emulator and roms for it? The very first computer game i played was a star trek game on a Microbee 16, a monochrome screen, no sound except beeps, the graphics (if you can call them that) were keyboard characters. now this computer was state of the art, for 1979

I remember my first game was one where you were an alien looking creature and you are standing on a pyramid. Everytime you jumps to a section, it would change colour. You had to change all sections before a spring like enermy got you. I can't remember the name but I would love to get this for the computer.

I'm not much of an oldie, but I do remember my first PC games being Digger and Pac-Man on my state of the art 286 with CGA graphics. I was 9yrs old. :p

That would be Q-Bert. At the time my favourite game. It was originally released as an arcade game, and there was all the Q-Bert spin offs. You could buy Stuffed toys, stickers, etc.

We have a laptop which is laying around the computer room here which really needs fixing desperately. The guy we took it to said it would cost $1600 just to get a new motherboard :(

Punky- I can't believe you remember the name of that game. Hehehe it would have taken me years to remember any of the atari games we had :p

I just decided to poke my head in and say...what about those old computers... CGA/EGA graphics...and the games had 16 colours...they're pretty old I guess. :D

The games with those 5 1/2 inch "floppy" disks.
