I must say, congrats Greece. Great oppening show. Amazing place you got there, great quality of ideas and execution of them, also great fireworks planning. 5 stars thumbs up.

Today i have seen already that Japan is taking all golds on Judo :D . One of the huys just became olympic tri-champion :) Way to go. ^-^ Respect!

On the 400meters swiming, EUA took the gold and plate medals, breaking once again the WR while doing it. :) The guy broke it last time 2 months ago. And did so for the first time at the age of 15!!! (he's 19 now)

So i tough i would create a topic on this, so that we can talk about the games.

I decided to turn off my TV now, or else i wont do much work at home.

"TV Bad, Bad TV! Stay! PLay dead!" :p

Oooh, you beat me to it, Tiago! I was thinking of making a thread like this... but here it is! Cool!

As I said elsewhere, I really enjoyed the opening ceremony, great job Greece! And now the games have started FOR REAL... in fact, I'm gonna go watch some now... :)

Great opening ceremony! I loved the fireworks! :D

The best 'Lighting the Olympic Flame' sequence though, to me was still Barcelona's. I loved how they used a bow and arrow for that! :D

Anyway... Portugal won a medal already! Silver medal for some cycling event. I wonder if we'll be able to win any more medals?

    Ooh, congrats! :)

As far as I know Sweden hasn't won any medals yet, but I think there's some swimming event tonight where we hope to get a medal... or something. I don't really know anything about the thing, I just turn on the tv and see what they're showing... [face_laugh]

I managed to watch some of the opening ceremony on Friday, and it did look really good :D
I also think the main stadium looks fantastic, the two arches are very striking viusally from a distance.

I watched a bit of the swimming this morning, the only problem is that it makes me really want to go out swimming :_|
The water looks so nice and cool ;)

Anky van Grunsven won Gold on Individual Dressage (or whatever it's called, I dunno the english terms) It's so awesome. She had a new horse, she'd broke her leg a few months ago. And still, she managed. :D

Its a shame that Iraq couldn't win the Bronze medal in Football.
It would've been a great boost for the country
