That would be the aerodynamically realistic take, but this is a Marvel movie, so I'm guessing the intent was to show them breaking the sound barrier.

 

I think it’s just a funny way of acknowledging the recast. They did the same thing in Iron Man 2 when Don Cheadle replaced Terrence Howard.

 

The Avengers have the Sokovian Accords which is regulating those who signed up. "Jessica Jones", "Luke Cage", "Echo", "The Punisher", "Ms. Marvel" and the upcoming "Daredevil: Born Again" have dealt with and will deal with street level vigilantes as a menace.

That's always the fine line that they walk. That's why in DC, they watch out for each other in case they go too far. Marvel just has them rely on an honor system, outside of registration.

Well, in the movies that’s true about Marvel. Comics: It depends on the run. Chip Zdarsky made sure Luke, Jessica, Danny, and especially Peter were on Matt’s case

when Murdock went wildly off-course as a result of coming off nearly dying by showing Matt sloppily mixing painkillers, booze, and very little sleep. This caused DD to accidentally kill a robber, get into a monster brawl with a detective, and nearly get himself killed taking on the Owl’s drug syndicate alone. Peter pushed Matt to give up being DD lest Matt ruin it for the rest of the street vigilantes…and Matt did give up being DD for a while. (Phenomenal storyline - yep my favorite Daredevil run - that led into The Devil’s Reign event about Mayor Fisk’s anti-vigilante program. Rumors say that Daredevil Born Again & Spider-Man 4 may use The Devil’s Reign event as source material. )

Going for the Winter Soldier political/spy thriller vibe. Here's hoping it's that good.

 

Winter Soldier this is not. I'll still watch it, but I think this is a weaker entry and I worry not even Giancarlo Esposito joining will help save this. It feels like a mess of plotlines thrown together.

 

From a movie logic perspective, how is Sam able to survive any of these impacts? He didn't get the supersoldier serum. He's just a normal guy, with the wings and the shield.

 

Well, he has armor now, and the shield. Now, it's comic book action so even though such impacts would just jelly his innards the suspension of disbelief is the armor and shield absorbing most of the force.
