We will all become one with Coronavirus. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

 

Maybe it's better to bring that in here. I was just thinking that the coronavirus is the first and only real domestic policy test of the Trump administration that isn't about Trump's own corruption. It's flat out solely about leadership competence. He inherited a strong economy and got a boost in the first part of his administration with his tax cut win as the result of his "unified Republican government." He weathered the Russia probe and the impeachment. He's done well with his base by weaponizing and propagandizing his Twitter feed and his rallies. He's beaten the Republican establishment into total submission. But the coronavirus is susceptible to none of that. Only actual competence will make a difference. He can blame every infection on the democrats, try to witchhuntize any criticism of his policy, but none of that will make the situation better.

 

He's in that at-risk age group, but so are Bernie, Warren and Biden

Just broke on BBC News that British Airways is cancelling and merging flights to quite a few destinations, including JFK in New York, due to reduced demand. If you're due to fly anywhere with them in March you might want to check your flight status.

I’m following WHO on Twitter, and every one of their tweets gets pretty much nothing but replies from people crying about how terrible WHO is. Are these just conspiracy-minded MAGAts, or has WHO actually been making stupid mistakes?

 

I haven't heard mention of mistakes on the news..could be the same mentality as anti-vaxxers.
