Because the other guy looked way too old to be his dad. He looked closer to the age of Obi-wan. He's only supposed to be 41 by then and heaps of people look good at that age so its realistic enough to have hayden in it. Despite the fact he is a bad actor. which is too bad coz he's a hottie.

GL has a right to tweak HIS movies in anyway he wants...I like the change, but I don't even have the right to pass judgement on whether it was a good decision. Neither does anyone else, good or bad. GL has also stated that the full reasoning will be explained through ROTS. So to those who feel so strongly that they need to pull out their cyber soap box in order to "change the opinion of the masses"...just sit down, shut up, and just be a fan.

I'm sorry. Do we live in a fascist state? No. We live in the USA where everyone is entitled to speak their opinion. Lucas does have the right to tweak his films just as we have the right to comment on those tweaks.
