That looks so good! They had me with Cap Carter, and The Watcher. Gimme all dat!
Well of course Captain Carter is the reason I'm most intrigued by it.
Please, they had you at Marvel Studio
CAPTAIN BRITAIN WAS RIGHT THERE, THOUGH!!!
Howard the Duck! I'm in.
always thought it was a cool comic. looks like some interesting stories already coming
Question, is it all one giant continuous story with many What If's? Or an anthology with a bunch of independent What If one-shots?
From the trailers it seems to be an anthology of independent stories; but I could be wrong.
Yeah, I believe we're looking at an anthology of one-shots instead of a single, complete MCU remix. But they're tied through The Watcher and multiverse framing device/character. However, some of the things we're seeing in this trailer could be multiple results within a single What If, ie: T'Chala taken by Yondu to join the Ravagers, leaving Killmonger to be brought into Wakanda somehow (perhaps T'Chaka seeking an heir or forced to face his past actions), leading to what we saw with Tony Stark.
Looks good, but I can’t say that I like the animation style.
Im wondering the same thing. Either the episodes will be long, or we’ll see some interconnectedness.
A bit of speculation, based on trailer footage: When Yondu takes young T’Challa, this causes T’Chaka to recall Prince N’Jobu (and his son, N’Jadaka, AKA Erik “Killmonger”). Killmonger is thus raised in Wakanda, having the same outlook as his father on opening Wakanda to outsiders, but without the more harsh childhood of “Prime MCU.” Killmonger becomes Black Panther and is led to rescue Stark and take him to Wakanda. Stark is pursued by Wanda Maximoff, who is fueled by her hatred of him, leading to a battle between the Scarlet Witch and the Dora Milaje.
Killmonger would definitely either execute Stark there and then or try to extort Stark Industries for a ransom and if they show tries to say they become buddies I will not believe it lol.
Not even in the premise I've outlined?
I like the style far better than TCW/Rebels/BadBatch style.
Chris Evans, RDJr, or Brie Larson
zombies...why must I watch Bucky fight zombies...because Bucky.
I love, love, love the animation style and @Jedi Merkurian theory about
I don't know why Killmonger would be a mercenary who takes the name Killmonger if Wakanda had called him to take the throne.
I'm referring to him as Killmonger for lack of a more-recognizable name. Same with his outfit in the show.
But he somehow has the outfit in this show but he's not an actual mercenary killer?
I mean...he's in Black Panther gear later on, fighting alongside T'Challa and the Guardians of the Galaxy, so....
I admit I'm a sucker for "What If?" Marvel stories.
ok fair enough! So I guess he has a heel turn of some kind after being a mercenary or he just has the name Killmonger for some very innocent reason lol
T'Challa as Star-Lord and Super-Soldier Peggy Carter fills me with hope that we'll see absolutely bonkers stuff like...
Maybe he has a change of heart partway through the episode and starts using the name "Lovemonger" in a move that's just as cringeworthily terrible as that What If Star Wars comic where Vader wore white and worked for the Rebels?
And yet, tell me you wouldn’t read a comic that followed up on that tease.
