I also just realized how the accusation of “traitor!” Is a running motif through all three trilogies.

Obi Wan calls Dooku a traitor in AOTC.

Mace and Palpatine call each other traitors in ROTS.

Vader accuses Leia being part of the rebel alliance and a traitor in ANH.

Kylo calls Finn a traitor in TFA.

Phasma calls Finn a traitor in TLJ

Its hard to say what really was a reference and what was just a similar coincidence. Some are more obvious then others

 

I think the Sith Cultists are actually a personification of the dead Sith Lord souls within Palpatine. There are moments in the PT when Palpatine might be seeing them but the audience doesn't. It's especially noticeable during the fight with Yoda. There's even moments when Palpatine gestures as if he's standing before a full senate, not rows of empty pods.

And yes, the senate scenes with the full senate mirror the packed gallery on Exegol.

 

TRoS is an anagram of RotS.

Palpatine didn't know about the dyad until the end. Also, he didn't know about those jedi talking to Rey.

There’s nothing that explicitly connects that to Padme’s dialogue in TPM. Luke also says “I will not fight in ROTJ. How do you know it’s not a callback to that?

 

“I saw my mother. She’s suffering, Padme. I saw her as clearly as I see you now.”

“I saw his future! As clearly as I’m seeing you, just the shape of it but solid and clear!”

 

“I wonder why it didn’t show up in the analysis archives.”

“those analysis droids only focus on symbols!”

“Sir we’ve had this analyzed, it comes from the Midean system, Paesanna, Firbidden valley”

this is a connection to ANH but the conference room scenes in ANH and TROS illustrate how Kylo has succeeded where Vader failed. Vader is still a stooge of the emperor and has to listen to his cronies and obeys when Tarkin orders him to stop choking Motti and is clearly just a bodyguard presence while Ren controls the room and chokes anyone he likes and everyone answers to him. He killed Snoke, took over the First Order and attained top power.


Edit: one more, a connection between ROTS and TROS. The Jedi have to essentially end the war by capturing or killing General Grievous According to Palpatine. The Sith/Kylo have to capture or kill Rey to effectively win the war according to Palpatine. Stormtroopers on threadwheel bike chase after Rey like Obi Wan chases after Grievous who is escaping in a wheel bike that also has a threadwheel.The stormtrooper bike jumps over a cliff like Grievous bike does. Obi Wan kills Grievous and “ends” the war but only enables the next phase of Palpatines plan. Kylo fails or chooses not to kill Rey foiling Palpatines plan.

 

Good question. You can take it that way too and disregard this. I chose such , due to what I consider to be being part of a nine chapter arc.

TPM is the true beginning of SW and Palpatine faces off with Padme believing that she's a naive and young that he can manipulate the senate, to bully their way to create chaos in the Republic. And it did. Since he's also from Naboo he brilliantly created a tug of war. I like this as in my view GL made such a style of story to show even a woman are intelligent, brave and strong yet Sidious still has the upper hand;typical Palpatine.But Padme is a clear threat to him. I love that.

In the middle the OT again, a woman Leia is this. Vader infact says in connection "so you have a twin sister" . The female may seem like a pushover but they are not. Luke goes ballistic as he needs to protect her again, as if Leia is weak. But he does say "you have always been strong". Sidious/Palpatine cheers him on. Same dictator enjoying conflict!

Now the ST, Palpatine has a grandchild, happens to be a woman, he realizes she's no pushover and pits son of Leia and her to battle out, but the plan fails due to the Dyad and best of all it was Leia he blames for messing up the plan. Nice connect to the OT, Vader thinks Leia will just give in with Palpatine cheering that, then it is Palpatine undone by Leia "the princess of Alderaan has disrupted my plan". Then it is Rey who faces him and claims her parents were strong to protect her from him. Naturally Palpatine getting pretty fed up demands that it was weak. Always trying to manipulate even if the opposition is actually strong in love and it doesn't correlate with Palpatine's hatred in his nature.

So, in a way three women, seem to scupper his plans. Love that.
