Haha, I took a peek in there. Seems like WW3 in there sometimes - my body isn't ready!!

 

Trust me when I say, its more of a trippy wonderland in there now.....

Although fun, with your help, we can help bring balance to the Force. I'm sure a lot of regulars in TFA/PT thread DO actually like to stay on topic over there, me included. I think it is wise (polite) to consider that point of view.

I'm glad there has been so much levity and humor, but it is so OFF topic, I'm amazed that "we" got away with it, as Evening Star said.

Thankfully, we've got the PT social thread starting up on February 1st.
My, my, some of those pages were hilarious though. I'm grateful to have laughed so much. Thanks to all violators...you know who you are! (me too, admittedly)

What's not to like?

 

I've told people I "like" the PT before, and one guy sneered at me and asked why or how and I just shrugged and said "I don't love them." I can't exactly remember what he said after that (it wasn't nice) but the funny thing is: I was being disingenuous to save face, though Lord knows why. But the truth is I pretty much love the PT, ha.

I do the exact opposite.

If I get into a conversation with someone about Star Wars and they turn their nose up at the prequels then I batter them over the head with my adoration for the films and tell them why they are wrong not to share it.

I recently filled my friend's facebook with pro-prequel stuff every day for almost a week because he dared to try and make fun!

I will never, ever, ever hide my love for those wonderful films.

 

Agree. I don't hold the OT on a pedestal at all and I can discuss both trilogies and if someone poses a perceived "flaw," I'll point on the more than likely same "flaw" in the OT since they both share the same B movie dialogue and acting....

 

PT is love. PT is life. The end.

 

Just had a prequel marathon last Sunday, love them ALL.

I won't lie, i do prefer the OT and TFA over the prequels, BUT... i always find myself quoting the PT way more than the OT.

"I AM THE SENATE!"
"YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE!"
"A. Sith. Lord?"
In fact there's tons of memorable lines from ROTS.
It's just so much fun, and i have always had great banter quoting them between myself and friends who are also Star Wars fans.

I love the PT! I think it's amazing George Lucas give us two very different trilogies (though, in the end, they are the same thing). I love the OT too, I see Star Wars like a big story. In certain ways I think PT is more complex and its characters are more interesting than in the OT.

I feel sad when I sail across the net and I see people really angry with Lucas or the PT. I am a positive person, I like to keep the good things. And I think there are many good things in the PT. I miss the years when they was released, there was a lot of excitement, theories and a special ambiance. I love the entire saga and the prequels are not less for me! I can see the point of view of many people, but I think the things went out of the hands for many of them. There many critics which are totally extremist. I don't think PT deserves certain treat... But, anyway, it's only my opinion. Everyone must think like they want, of course .

 

I find the title offensive as a hardcore star wars fan. GREAT?! HAHAHAHHAHA! NO!

The prequels had better music then the OT,

better acting,

less cringe inducing romance (no inbreeding and no Han acting like a creeper obsessing over a girl who says no over 9000 times)

funnier dialogue.

better universe building

more realistic fights

villains die more believably

everything about the PT was better accept the toys. I grew up with the OT, yes. But it's not nostalgia googles, I think the PT toys weren't as good as the OT toys. That's just my taste.

I could list more like better CGi, and even practical effects (look it up....episode 1 had more practical effects alone then all of the OT combined. ;P)
