Instead we get HHH vs. Scott Steiner back to back and it looks like the same for HHH/Nash. Speaking of HHH/Nash, over the weekend they had a house show in Ottawa with these two in the main event. Early reports are *surprise* that the match wasn't very good.

Well, buckle my shoe. There's a shock.

I'm 'looking forward' to HHH putting the indian deathlock on Nash for 5 full minutes on the next PPV. That'll get the crowd pumped.

Nash v. HHH will more than likely be ten times worse than HHH v. Steiner, and I didnt think that was possible. If HHH/Nash is a co main event with Big Slow/Brock at Judgment Day than this will be the second PPV in a row that I wont be seeing. Ah, well.

Oh, and I would take everything in Hogan's book with a huge grain of salt. There is so much spin in that book its more fiction than truth. A total piece of crap and nothing more than an ego trip by Hogan as he waxes nostalgice about events how he remembers them, with him starring as the Misunderstood Golden Boy. Dont waste your time or money on this one, folks. Im sure you all have better things to do than waste your time with this tripe.

Watching paint dry would be time better spent than if you'd read Hogan's book, trust me.

I know what Hogan would say.

"I watched that paint, brother, I helped it all along the way and it the end it dried, thanks to the awesome power of the Hulkster!"

Latest on Sting from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter :

    - As of this writing, Sting has not signed a WWE contract and internal sources from within the company have conflicting reports on whether he's coming in over the summer or even if talks have taken place.

    So...nothing much to report, really...

Yeah really thats not much news since it bascially says he either did talk to them or he didn't.

I'd be really surprised if Sting showed up. He seems to be the most religious out of any wrestlers and I imagine he'd still be agaisnt stuff the wwf does. But why anything's possible with Sable, Piper coming back.

That's exactly why I dont want Sting here. Not because I have a problem with him or anything, its just enough with the old timers already.

WWE Intercontinental Title Possibly Making A Return
    Story By: Ben Johnson
    May 04, 2003

Steve Austin made some comments on Byte This that led many to believe that the IC title could be returning.

Austin said something along the lines of "there are some friends that were fired and some titles that were taken away". Obviously, when it comes to friends, he's referring to Jim Ross who will be brought back to TV soon. When it comes to belts, one would believe it's the IC title, the most important title that Bischoff "merged" under his administration.

Oh man! I sure do hope this is the truth. This may bring out some great singles stars again and we won't have to see everyone simply buried by Triple H in order to get some sort of titles.

If true, I'd like RVD or the Hurricane to win the title. I'd say Jericho as well but the others could benefit from it more.

Do you realize that if there is an IC title belt again, we may actually have the oppertunity to see better wreslting out of these younger, and upcoming stars. Hopefully the in ring work will become better. Especially when they are highlighted on a PPV in an actual singles match or another type.

Steve Austin will make his debut at co-GM of RAW tonight. The plan is for him to eventually bring back Jim Ross, Lita, and reinstate the Dudley Boyz. It is unknown whether that will happen tonight.

There is also a lot of talk of bringing back the Intercontinental Title, possibly as early as tonight on RAW. Austin made mention of WWE possibly bringing the belt back on Byte This this past Friday.

    *******

One rumor in the WWE lockerroom is that management gave Jeff Hardy the choice of checking into rehab or be released.

There are also reports that Jeff did not save money well and cannot afford to sit at home and not work at all.

Jeff has recently been heard telling friends that he is not interested in flying around the country as an independent wrestler, and will instead stay around his home working on music. Incidentally, he lives in North Carolina, which isn?t too far from Nashville.

Bringing back the IC Belt could very well be one of the smartest things that they've done in ages, and it cant happen too soon, IMO. Something like this could be the shot with the defibulators that Raw needs so desperately.

In a related note, I think the IC belt would be better served with the SD roster of midcarders, but I guess Raw probably needs this alot more.

Mayhap Stephanie will dust off the U.S. Title in retaliation on Thursday ...

I certainly would not mind seeing that. The U.S Title was quite prestigious in the WCW days, especially when held by Bret Hart, Benoit, Booker T, and others. I thinkt hatw ould be a great addition to Smackdown. Especially seeing as how WWE wants to make this brand split more "real". SD has amazing talent and would definitly allow that title to shine. Possibly more then the IC title.

I agree. Maybe when Angle comes back, if he's up to it, then he can be the one to hold the U.S. Title for a decent little run .You know Angle would make things entertaining be an Olympic Hero holding the U.S. Championship. [face_laugh]
Not to mention the fact that a guy like Angle being the U.S. Champion certainly will give the belt alot of credibility, especially for the marks.

But even if something like that doesnt happen then Id be more than happy if Eddy, Benoit, Cena or Matt Hardy somehow got their hands on the belt.

LOL!!! [face_laugh] What a great idea!!! How perfectly would that suit Kurt huh? :) [face_laugh] I can SO picture that. Return to the ring with the US Title around his waist and introduce it to SD! :D

I'm not going to give them golf claps on bringing back the IC title because they should never have gotten rid of it in the first place.

Glad Jim Ross will be back soon. Coach just doesn't cut it.

Now all they need to do is get rid of the roster split...

I would like to see the IC Title come back, it'd give a little direction to the undercard. At the moment the Tag divison is flat, the Woman's division is obviously not eligible for male wrestlers :p , and the Heavyweight title means dealing with Hunter.

The uppercard is pretty jammed at the moment, so the IC Title would give them something to go for. Here's hoping.

I think bringing in secondary singles titles is a great idea, especially when they split the PPVs. It will give the shows that something extra that is currently lacking. For the IC belt on RAW there's Hurricane, Lance Storm, and RVD (altough he already has the tag belts). For Smackdown they should take Matt Hardy out of the cruiserweight picture and have him get the US title (or whatever belt they come up with). If not him then Cena, Rhyno, or Eddie would be good too.

WWE Working On Changing In-Ring Style
    Posted By Ashish on 05.05.03

Injuries force company to adopt new style...

WWE is working on "slowing down" their in-ring style to help cut down on injuries. Agents have been working closely with talent on changing their styles to a slower one.

Vince McMahon even spoke to much of the roster at Backlash regarding the changes in style. WWE is hoping to deliver a style that isn't as risky and dependent on big bumps and "spots." Instead, they want to carefully book the matches to tell a story.

    Credit: 1wrestling.com

I thought they'd already done this? Are they slowing it down even more to accomodate Nash and the glacier-like Big Show?

This is like when they severly restricted DDTs and piledrivers. That really cut back on the neck injuries *cough*

"I would like to see the IC Title come back. . ."

I second that Damon. :)To tell you the truth I enjoyed Intercontinental fued's just as much as the World title one's. :cool:Also it would provide some traction for the mid-card wrestler's to compete as you stated earlier.

I miss the Hardcore title as well. :_|That was the true sign of the end of the Attitude era and entering. . . well, what's this era gonna be dubbed?

I will always rememeber Tommy Dreamer's last Hardcore title defense against RVD for as long as I watch wrestling. Man that title truely wen't through some historical matches. :(

BTW, I'm psyched for the first time in a long while about RAW-Warzone tonight.

After the mayhem of Goldberg's rampage and Austin coming back with a vengeance (plus everything else that wen't down) thing's are really starting to shape up, the slump may be over. . . .

I'm telling you all now, the slowing-down of the ring style is all just setting the scene for the imminent return of Giant Gonzales. I promise you ;)

From Byte This, with Matt Hardy on the show...
Next caller, "Kevin from Atlanta" (Kevin Nash posing as a caller) jokes "Hey. Matt, I'm wondering, since I have noticed that you are a very attractive young man, when you wrestle, what do you think about? Do you ever think about Mauve or about shopping?" (Obviously an inside joke reference) Matt answers that he has a lot of "Big sexy thoughts through my head."

I'm sorry, but while his ring work often bores me I just can't help but like his twisted sense of humour sometimes...he also mentioned Shawn vs Razor's ladder match at WMX, saying he'll have to do one at WMXX against the Iron Sheik. :p
