Large corporations have always had a large influence at impacting the US political landscape since the late 19th century. The political climate changes as our tolerance of how much control we want these corporations have changes. Money rules the US...the planet. None of this is new.

No, this form of tyranny is new because it's global in nature. It's in the last 30 years or so that these corporations and banks have been causing economic and political events the likes of which the world has recently never seen. The erosion of democracy - our republic - has been gradual over time through debt. Creation of the private Federal Reserve System in 1913 that dictates monetary policy and the creation of income tax, getting off the gold standard in the early 70's, the removal of the Glass?Steagall Act in the 90's and other deregulatory moves, and the co-option of our dual political party system have unleashed devastating financial forces and recessions. All these forces have been pushing American empire, and for what purpose? To what end? Central banks across the world are now coordinating and controlling national politics, military interventions, and erosion of national sovereignties through sheer debt. The wealth transfer has caused the democratic politics to shift from "the people" into the hands of a global elite, run by an international banking cartel.

Look at the turmoil in Europe today. Most European countries are heavily into debt with their central banks, the IMF, and World Bank. A gradual process meant to eventually destroy national sovereignties and statehood, and it only took less than 15 years after the creation of the European Union. This is being done by design.

Since 9/11, in order for this criminal, neocon international syndicate to maintain power, they are eroding basic American civil liberties, our notion of borders, and continuing a military, economic, and political takeover of many parts of the world. It's only taken 10 years for a North American Union to begin surfacing. It's been our pillar of federalism that has slowed the process, but that barrier is getting eroded as well. It will only take a fundamental shift through leadership change that we can go back to a nation governed by constitutional limits and a nationalized banking system, where the Congress's monetary policy power is restored.

Speaking of Congress, there are some new bills that have been introduced in the US Congress. It will affect almost every aspect of internet usage aimed at limiting creativity, information, and commerce. It basically opens the pandora?s door to government censorship of the internet, irrespective of where you are in the political spectrum. It's all about control of the population and what types of information is fed to the American people.

The worldwide indefinite detention without charge or trial provision is in Senate bill #1867, the National Defense Authorization Act, which will be on the Senate floor on Monday, 11/28. The bill was drafted in secret by Sens. Carl Levin (D-Mich.) and John McCain (R-Ariz.) and passed in a closed-door committee meeting, without even a single hearing.

This means the military battlefield will be on Americans' front yard. Don't sacrifice your civil liberties in the name of security. You'll have neither if this bill passes. It contains the most repugnant provisions regarding the detainment of any person in the world, including American citizens without any trial or due process.
