Apparently they needed to inflict more suffering on the spiders by dismembering them repeatedly instead of just killing them swiftly. Because that will really drive home the message to these animals that Kanan and Ezra will mess them up if they try anything again. It totally wouldn't have made the spiders even harder to control because they're in pain and feel threatened.

The spiders were like something out of a video game. Indestructible (even by ship cannon fire) except if you hit it in the eye. Of course then our heros decide to shoot them everywhere but the eyes !

Sadly that does sound a lot like me playing a video game

Personally, I find it a lot easier to aim in real life than in video games. You simply have a direct connection to your hand, instead of rely on a joystick or mouse to translate your actions.

Uh no they weren't. Ezra killed zero spiders. Kanan only killed two. My point is that these things shouldn't have been a credible when the heroes include two Jedi armed with lightsabers. Once they were on open ground, Kanan and Ezra should have been able to start slicing and dicing the spiders and send them fleeing back to their caves. Just look at AOTC and how Obi-Wan kills the acklay in three seconds flat once he's got a lightsaber again. The only explanation would be if Kanan insisted on sparing the spider's lives because Jedi respect all life. But there was no mention of that, so we are led to conclude that a Jedi Knight and his Padawan can't handle a dozen large arachnids. The Jedi just seemed to be weakened in this episode so that the monsters would be counted as a threat.

Hasn't Dicer already blown up like 5 times this season? To me it seems like whenever they show an A-wing blowing up, there's a pilot asset that looks like Dicer at the controls. "Dice her" indeed...

Hey guys and gals -- obviously I'm a little late on this -- but didn't notice anyone mention it -- but if you are an "Alien" franchise fan -- the homage paid to the first 2 films in that franchise is unmistakable.

Hrm, well Wookieepedia has it as Dicer, as justifies it as saying that's how it's spelled in the Databank.

Please don't double post. As ImNotAStarWarsFanboy mentioned, you have 30 minutes to edit your previous post instead of posting one after the other as it counts as spam.

However if it's been over a day and no one else has posted then you can post again after your previous post.

Suddenly relevant episode! Also the last 2 minutes of this are nigh mandatory viewing before "Twilight of the Apprentice"

The creepers in Mando S2E2 are not Krykna, they are a species closer to the original source material and Legends "Knobby White Spider" if not outright the same. Although yeah, Rebels did the spider thing first :ghost:[IMG]
