Plot Synopsis: A great evil has awoken in the galaxy, and the one man who can save it, is nowhere to be found.

    Prologue

There are certain parts of the galaxy that have remained unexplored. Some places were very hostile to visitors, or its inhabitants were, other places were places of calm and peace.

It was on such a place that a lone figure stood on the sea shore, looking at the suns setting. It was a beautiful world, full of verdant green hills and forests. He’d tried living there for a time, but found the noises in the night too disturbing, and frankly it was too full of life for him.

After a cycle, he’d found an old stone cave on the cliffs above the sea where he’d made his dwelling place. He had few possessions, and survived by living off the flora and fauna of the land.

His keen eye scanned the horizon, watching the birds in flight. He was almost tempted to reach out and touch their minds and observe the world from their view point, but he resisted. He’d long ago made a vow that he wouldn’t use the Force any more.

But it didn’t stop the Force from trying to use him.

It was happening again. He could feel the power surge within him. He heard many voices, some urging him to fight, and others urging him to give in and let go. But he knew he couldn’t.

He had to remain in control. He could feel himself getting hotter and hotter. The more he fought, the hotter he felt. He knew the point would come when he couldn’t keep it in any longer. He risked a glance at his hands, at once he could see they were glowing. It started as a gentle orange glow, but the more he fought, the brighter he glowed.

He knew it was only a matter of time when he couldn’t contain it any longer, and with a loud scream he let go. And as he did a massive shockwave shot out from him in every direction. The trees shook as did the rocks around him.

He fell to the ground, the sweat streaming off his craggy face and in to his beard. He could feel himself welling up with emotion, he didn’t know why this was happening to him.

Was this the will of the Force? Or was there something more sinister at work. He couldn’t recall where he learned this skill, but once he saw the effects of it, he knew he had to hide himself away, for the sake of his loved ones, and for the sake of the galaxy.

He picked himself up and slowly made his way to the place that had been his home for the last thirty years.
