Okay...since my German character didn't get approved (shockingly), I guess I'll play the Lt. spot after all.

Appearance: He is approximately 5'10" tall and atheltically built. He has short cropped brown hair with piercing brown eyes on a slightly freckled, fair-skinned boyish face. He also has several scars from various bullet and knife wounds.
Years In Service: Since 1939
Class: Lieutenant
Equipment: 1 OSS Hi-Standard Silenced Pistol, 1 Colt .45, 1 M1 Garand, and 3 Mark II Frag Grenades
Bio: Steven has served with the British SAS in covert operations against the Nazis since 1940. He has been to France, Germany, Austria, Italy, and North Africa in trying to make the facsists live in hell. He has been responsible for sabotaging fuel depots, supply convoys, assassinations, and various other covert operations. Many were successful while many were failures.

Country : France (Strasbourg or Strassburg--depending on who owns it)

Apperance : 5'4, thin, mousy brown hair, skye-blue eyes.
Years In Service : Since the invasion and retreat from Dunkirk
Class : sabatour and spy
Equipment : Captured Luger, WWI submachine gun, stolen explosives, nails&spikes, wire, cleaning supplies
Bio : Annette is decended from a 19th century Parisian actress and a minor British nobleman. She is also decended from one of the few Heugenouts to escape the slaughter of the 1600's. Somewhere along the way, her ancestors moved back to France. Her father and uncles served in the first world war, as did her husband. She served as a nurse. All of them were killed. Her second husband is somewhere Missing in Action. During the evacuation from Dunkirk, she managed to get her 5-yo daughter and 8yo son over to England with an address to look up their relatives and a bible with their geneology.
Annette has had enough of these wars, but is not going to let it end with the Germans in control. Too many of her neighbors have suddenly gone missing.
A group of her friends and some older veterans from the last 2 wars to ravenge France have gotten together with some criminals (mostly theives and burglars).
Much to here disgust, some of the local girls have volunteered to socialize with the German troops and officers in order to gain information. They pass this to Annette, who passes it on to her superior. Her age and plain features have kept unwanted personal attention from being a problem so far, especially when so many teenagers are available.

London, RAF base. Noon


Roland, John, Joun, Steven, Marc, Mike and Colin stood still in a line looking out on the airfield with their bags on the ground beside them.
They had arrives from various parts of the war to this place. Some by plane, some by sea.
A door opend behind them and a man in uniform stepped out.
From far, the RAF base would seem like an abandoned warehouse with an airstrip. One or two planes and a british flag. But once you stepped inside the warehouse, you would take the stairs down.. down and down. Untill you reached a large rusty metal door, and behind that, a large concreet bunker complex.
The base was surrounded with tall green grass, nothing but grass as far as the eye could reach. It was located some miles outside London, the wind made a soft sound as it passed by the Seven men, played with the hair of those who had it. At this time, the war seemed so far away, like it was something that was just made up. A realy bad story.

The uniformed man walked infront of the seven men, his face was marked with scars and it could be seen from far away that this was a seasoned man in the war.
John quickly recognized the man as his own father, standing before him.
The man gave him a quick look and nodded.
"At ease gentelmen.. you dont need to salute me or anyone at this place, from what we know it will probably be the last time you see it"
He paused for a seccond and looked at them all, men that had been chosen to mission where the survival was less than 9%, though he would never say this.
"Wellcome to Churchill Hill, as you can se there is no hill. But never mind the name. You are all here because you are the best of those who still are alive in this hell. And unfortunally the mission is hard, dangerous and lethal. But we know that you will do your best and come back. All info about the mission will be given to you at a later, at this time you should get rest and eat well. You all must be tierd after your journey here"
Once again he paused and looked at each of them, his eyes stoped at John and then whent back to a point just about over them.
So that it seemed that he looked them in their eyes.
"Any questions?"

 

OOC: Do I have to be Jhon or can I be John ? Since Im American, the name wouldnt change, unless someone foreign was saying it. Would it?

After getting some advice from -Lord-Vader- I should clarefy that the action wont take place untill sometime tomorrow. Untill then its all character developmen. A time for me to get used with the colors and that kind of stuff. I would apreciate if you all posted atleast one post before tomorrow so that I see that you are still here Dont worry, Im not planning for this RPG to become a long dialog Action starts at random time tomorrow

Marc just nodded. He knew this would be a dangerous mission, especially for him...seeing that his specialty was demolitions. Oh well. His faith and love of his family would see him through this. He had to be able to show his daughter the wonders of Lyon.

Another mission, more dead people, how long is this damn war going to last. These kids, Mike thought, even though he himself was only 24, are the best we have, and half of them haven't seen combat. God help us, we're going to need it.

OOC: I've noticed theres some things about the weapons. The recon has 'light weapons' and such, but ours has a BAR. Anyone think somethings out of place?

 

OOC: Well, if our medic has a tommy gun, and our recon has a BAR, then... then... who cares?

 

A recon is suppose to scout and report back his findings. Not get into a fight. A bigger and better weapon also won't grantee you victory. Lets see how effective your BAR is against twenty panzergrenadiers armed with MP40 Submachine Guns and Stielhandgrenates.

According to the novel Rommel, by Desmond Young, in WWII, special forces, assasins, foreward reconnasance personelle, military spies and other such peoples carried compact, light machine guns (mostly BARs) This included British units. These types of weapons were carried primarily because if they came into a sticky situation, they would have the firepower and equipment necessary to survive and report back their findings.

Equipment : Collapsable STEN, Beretta 9mm, Liberator pistol(1 carried at all times)
Bio : Born in 1917 in Eastern France, Andre grew up without a father(having been killed by the Germans at the end of WWI)he learnd to hate the Germans and value his individual freedom. Upon turning 18, Andre took a look at the situation in Germany and decided to enter the military. Soon he was stationed on the Maginot Line. When Germany invaded in May of 1940 Genet was ordered to stay behind with his squad and defend the line while a majority of the units were transfered to the fighting farther north. Genet did not have to wait long for the fight to come to him however. In the early stages of the battle Genet's commander was killed by a tank shell. Genet took command of his young squad and orchestrated a miraculous retreat. With German forces coming from all sides, Genet lead his comrades out of the fray while taking almost no casualties and inflicting many on the Germans. Andre was crushed when France surrendered on June 21. Andre funneled that dissapointment and anger into fuel and organized as many dissenters as he could, thus forming the Reims circut. Only his scrawny appearance deterred the Germans from shipping him off to a camp. Members of the resistance meerly know him as "The Cat". And he has orchestrated many succesful raids on German supply convoys, as well as destroying bridges and railroad tracks. His right-hand man is "The Mouse", aka Leon Genet, Andre's 17 year old brother. The two have gained a reputation for themselves, earning both the fear and the wrath of the Germans- any member of this circut that is caught is tortured double. The Germans know they wont get "The Cat"'s or "The Mouse"'s identity this way but they intend to deter new recruits from joining up.

Bill stood infront of the group with a disturbed smile on his face
Behind him a big map over the third riech.
He adressed the men.
"At 0300 hours you will depart from here to a small village namned Belfort. You will parashoot (sp?) out of the plane and hopefully land safe on a field. Our intelligence have said that this town is not that guarded by German troops. Once there you will head into Germany and finaly come to another village namned Vruoussen.
We have no exact location of the place, but the refugees tells us that it is close to the former german boarder and strassburg.
There should be people in strassburg or villages close to it that knows of the place. Once there, find the research facility. Infiltrate it and bring back whatever information you can get your hands on. If you find it nessesary, destroy the place. Well, get some rest now since it will be your last chance for a very long time to get it. God bless you and your mission, for it will be hard and though. But we all trust in you men to succeed in this mission. Once again, God bless you"

"Sir! sir! we have information about heavy troop moovement through a little place called
Belfort" a young man said with a worried voice to Andre.. "we have to contact other rebells.. I've heard of a woman.. a woman namned Annette Magaritte SanJust in Strassburg We should contact her and get help from the resisntance there."

Secret hideout for the resistance in Strassburg

"Some solider said that they were heading to a village namned Bellfort thats all I know.. I promise" the young girl said and freed herselfe from Annettes grip.
This was the third girl that said that solderis were heading to Bellfort
Very intresting, and something to worry about.
The last few days the resistance had made some successfull hits on the germans. A weapons storage was blown up, railway pieces were removed everyday. This causing heavy delayment on the german warmachine.
And a three truckloads of food to the troops had been captured.
But now it seemed that there was something strange going on..

 

Andre Genet----Reims, France

"Sir! sir! we have information about heavy troop moovement through a little place called
Belfort. We have to contact other rebells.. I've heard of a woman.. a woman namned Annette Magaritte SanJust in Strassburg We should contact her and get help from the resisntance there."

Andre looked at the young man, no older than 18. Desperate times... he thought. Andre thought about what the young man had just told him.

"Very well. Go to Strassburg and find this woman. Tell her the Cat would like to meet about the recent developments in Belfort. Quickly, you must leave tonight and get as far as you can in the darkness. If she wishes to meet tell her to be at Mulhouse withing the coming days."

"Yes sir!" And with that the young man left the room to prepare for his journey. Andre would have gone himself but looking for a woman someone thinks they have heard of is not a good thing.

Andre walked out of the house and found one of his lt's in the town. After indicating a swap, Andre passed the man, trading newspaper copies. Once the man had turned the corner and found a place to eat he opened the news paper, 'Tell Mouse that we must meet immediately.' After the lt. finished his meal he walked off to find the man.
2 hours later
"I am glad you could make it Leon," Said Andre. "Please have a seat." Once Leon was seated Andre passed him a cigarette. "Remember mother's sister?" Andre asked. "Vaugely, why?

"Because I must go and visit here. I've heard that she is sick and I must make a trip south. You will be in charge here, I hope that I have taught you well eneough. You are to be the only one who knows my location, I am going to Vesoul and I will make day trips to Mulhouse in expectation of a Rendevous. You must prepare our men- the invasion will come any day now and we must be ready to cause havoc among the Germans. The purpose of my mission is to find out what is going on at Belfort. Good-luck."

"Yes, good-luck brother. And I shall not fail you."

With that the two men left the meeting place and began his journey to Vesoul- his cover was that he was visiting an ill relative, which in reality he was doing.

 

Umm, Dark_Overlord, I pmed you about the German guy.

 

The information Annette was putting together in her head was not good. In spite of her disruptions, the Germans were building up a huge supply depot, with a large number of soldiers. Maybe the American bombers flying from England would be able to hit it, if they had the information. She was going to have to get help. If she sent her information the usual way, it could take weeks. There had to be a better way...

 

Reims Circut messenger----Strassburg

After finding his way around the messenger finally found who he was looking for.

"Miss SanJust?" He asked. "I am a messenger from Reims. The Reims circut leader, the Cat, has requested a meeting with you about the increased activity at Belfort. You can meet him in Mulhouse."

With that the messenger gave her the name of a restuant and certain times before heading off to make his way back to Reims.

After arriving in Vesoul Genet greeted his aunt and unpacked his things. His stay was shot however as he soon boarded another train- this time without his belongings- and traveled to Mulhouse. Upon his arrival he went into the pre-determined resturant and waited. He would do this at certain times every day until Annette showed up.

Annette checked as best she could to make sure the messenger's references were good. Always risky when dealing with outsiders. But if there was a chance that he was genuine, it was worth it.
If not, she left preparations so that, while his body might be found, it would never be identified.
The next day, Annette went to the restraunt for lunch. She sat at the appropriate table and made the correct small talk.
Then she waited, and hoped she wasn't about to die, or worse.

Andre Genet----Mulhouse, France

Andre was waiting in the restraunt when a woman walked in a sat down. After passing along the correct phrases, and recieving the same in return, Andre made a quick look around for any tails or evesdroppers and began the conversation.

"In the nearby town of Belfort there has reportedly been an increase in Nazi activity. Everyone is expecting the invasion now, but this movement has been more extensive and has involved more top officials, or so I'm told." Andre paused for a moment as a waitress passed by and ordered some coffe. After the coffe was delivered and the waitress had moved away Genet asked, "Your town is close to the said city, have you heard anything?"

"Ve have been sabotaging train tracks, cutting down telegraph lines, setting traps for ze motaircycle courierz, but ze Garmans, ze are coming prepared. Ze bring extra rails, ze send many couriers."
"Whatevair eet iz zey are doing, zey are puhtting much work inzu eet."
"One of ze garls, she brings back maybe where eet is, but can't check eet myself."

"I hate what zees garls are doing. What zey must do to help ze wahr. But all of zehm are willing, and I cannot stup zem, except by stopping Garman armee."


Annette drinks her coffee (badly watered down, but it is the war...) and waits for her comrade to reply.
