So, Karen, is the name "Null" ARC an indirect reference to Abel's Mandalorian article? I know that the N- designation is new, but I remember Abel stating that Spar's designation is pronounced "Alpha-null-two" somewhere.

No. There's a very specific reason why the N desig is called Null in this case, but if I reveal that, it's a mega-spoiler.

"We've got three types of advertising. Sub-liminal, liminal and super-liminal"

    "Super-liminal?"

"Yes. Hey you! Buy Republic Commando: Hard Contact!"

I do find that's my default setting now, actually. Sort of cut to the chase before I get on to anything else.

"Okay, I don't know you, but I'm pushy and I'm pimping."

That explains so much about my life...

It's 'cuz they have no faces! err... i hope that's not it.

This is awesome news for us! I just hope that Karen takes some time to see daylight and eat and sleep while she is cranking out this work.

Well...I hadn't eaten for two days, because I forgot.

Then I decided I had to eat. I had a few cantuccini with a glass of fizzy Chardonnay to dunk them in, but dropped the cantuccini in it and had to fish them out. 'Orrible mess in the glass. (I don't drink much, you see.) Tipped glass away.

Then I had a fun-size Crunchie and made the mistake of reading an e-mail from Ryan while I was eating it. The e-mail was somewhat hilarious. I'm still coughing up bits of Crunchie after inhaling them. Ouch.

I know, but my Mum has the vin santo and I forgot I'd given it to her, looked around for something to dip the biccies in and could only find the Char.

Then I remembered I'd bought the biccies for her to go with the vin santo.

    Er...

    Too late.

Awesome. Karen is one of my favorite new authors (Star Wars and non Star Wars), so it's great to hear she's writing another RC book.

aww Karen you're great! I just finished reading Hard Contact and I can't believe how good it was, I'm glad Hokan got it in the end too  It pleases me too there'll be more on Etain, I found her a really interesting character, and I'd like to see her with more self confidence.

Can't wait! And yeah, I'd LOVE the Republic Commando series to become the new X-wing series.

By the way, what's vin santo in the US of A? EU laws don't apply out there, so i get the impression it's completely different :p

Karen, any chance of a cameo (or even just a mention) of Alpha in the book? Please? For a fellow Brit?

<< What was the Ras Prosecuter mission from? I don't remember? >> I know zip about this and it's not in Triple Zero. >>

Ahhhh! No, I think it is!

Ryan tells me that Prosecutor is probably Chyhin Cluster op.

If this is so (I can't load RepCom on my cruddy PC now) then that does have a side ref. It's within the timeline. But I don't feature the Chyhin op per se, but it does fit in the continuity.

(I have a software conflict with RepCom and I'm damned if I can work out what it is. It does it on my latop too, so it can only be with MS Office, Word, or a CD/DVD writer package. I'm going to get X Box instead...)

For the record, it's "Chaykin" Cluster, and now will someone PLEASE send Karen an X-Box. She's been extremely resistant to my attempts to transform her into a mindless console-playing zombie.

    Well, the console-playing part anyway.

Eh, for some back clarification... The word "null" mentioned in conjunction with "Spar" Alpha-02 (read Alpha-Null-Two) has nothing to do with the Null ARCs in Karen's story. Other than the coincidence of the word.

Back to your business, now. Nothing to see here, move along, move along.

Isn't it read "Alpha-Oh-Two" or "Alpha-Zero-Two"? "Null" actually sounds a bit, err, "bad" - like a none-existant ARC or an ARC that isn't meant to exist. Is it that the "Null" is about? A breed of ARC that are not made to be sent in real world, not meant to be "unleashed"?
