Good evening thread friends! Hope everyone's day went well.

Is it autumn down under? We are in spring where I am, through the past two days have gotten into the high 70s and 80s and felt more like summer, which I'm not prepared for yet.

Fascinating, the seasons are. (My one line of yoda-speak for the day, it just popped into my mind to say/write it as such.)

 

You know, as I implied earlier: one does not NEED a fellow Star Wars nerd to walk through this life with. But as someone who's lived it, I can't advise against it. It has been pretty funny.

 

Officially it's been autumn since the start of March, but the weather hasn't cooperated. Currently the weather is like early to mid March now, in the middle of April.

I just got back from a little day trip into Iowa. I had an absurdly beautiful time.

Attention peoples of the Upper Midwest:
If you like caves, glens, and Driftless Area topography, the next time you're in eastern Iowa you may want to check out Maquoketa Caves State Park. I was vaguely aware of it, but before today I had never been. It was exquisite. Highly recommended.

Honest to God: this fandom is RIDIC. U. LOUS. Ridiculous. Gotta love how even most of the threads in the PT FAN SUBFORUM are full of jackasses who are here to ****-stir.

Yep. That's why this thread is here. And why I'm not there.

Sometimes I feel bad about not defending my stance on things more around this forum. There are definitely a few pockets here that could use my Withering Evil Fangirl Attitude right about now. But then I remember the obnoxious fanboy-shaped brick wall I'd be up against and it's just...so pointless. I hate this fandom sometimes.

There, there AMJ. At least here you have your friends to whom you can talk Ewan, Hair, Life with 3 Star Wars fans, our sitcom, etc

 

The bolded, underlined word is where you're going wrong. Last time I checked it was just the 'Prequel Trilogy' subforum Nothing preventing critical discussion.
The key is to just not read threads or posts containing opinions you don't like

I don't get it. The PT movies are already SO OLD, YOU GUYS. TFA was a hit and the fanboys all seem to like that so...maybe they should...go and like it? I'm happy they have a movie they enjoyed now. They have no idea how glad I am that they're not whining en masse about TFA, too.

Just...what the EFF is in it for the haters anymore? Does every. Single. DAMNED. Thread. Need their input on how "WELL ACTUALLY IT WASN'T VERY GOOD BECAUSE BLAHBLAHBLAH"?

I'll give them the answer: no. No, it does not. And someday, they will look back on all the time they spent tearing down something that made other people happy for NO REASON and feel bad. Or at least they should. Because what a way to fritter away the minutes of your life. I am no stranger to wasting time online, but at least when I'm doing it it's with my friends and we're having fun.
