The Ring of Fire is another name for Narya the Great, one of the Three Elvish Rings. It was originally Círdan the Shipwright's Ring, but he gave it to Gandalf.

Whoops, I had a feeling I didn't know what I was talking about. Thanks Alderaan. :)

    Greesha and Elven_Jedi,
you are learning Elvish? That is way cool!!! Where are you learning it? I would love to learn it as well. :)

BTW, is there anywhere that gives the tunes to any of the songs in the LOTR books?
I made up my own tune for a couple of them. But, it would be cool if there were actually tunes that go with them. ;)

I actually had a really cheesy Idea for the songs in the books. You know how they always put out CDs for movies, but only 5 of the songs on the CD can actually be heard in the movie? Well, I was expecting them to do the same for FOTR but they took the high road. As do the Star Wars films. But, what I was thinking of was having musicians record songs using Tolkien's lyrics. Like I said it's a really cheesy idea but at least it's not just a bunch of songs, that have nothing to do with the movies, that are just thrown together to sell a CD. A-hem.. Spider-Man ...cough. :D

    I haven't read the Silmarillion [face_blush] (because I can't afford it [face_blush]).

The little spoiler I posted was just a movie thing; something that Peter Jackson might change to make things more visually exciting. And it's just a might.

You can download a course from this site:
    http://www.uib.no/People/hnohf/qcourse.htm
There is a dictionary available at this site:
    http://hem.passagen.se/noldo/quenya.html

Elvish is such a beautiful language, even if all I can say is simple sentences like "I vanya tari cendea i parma" (the beautiful queen is reading the book). And did I mention the fact that I speak Elvish with an Italian accent?

Yep, saw the little sneak peak of (I Think) Treebeard in the preview. He looked exactly like a tree until he opened his eyes. Then he looked like a tree with eyes. If they pull off these guys I'll be really impressed.

I just love how the next few films are going to just get more and more fantastical. Can't wait.

Yeah, I think it was Treebeard as well. I think that movie is really gonna be good. The clip for the battle for Helm's Deep looked really cool too.

Can anyone tell me the best websites for LOTR fans?
I'd like a daily update site or a fan forum with message boards.
you know something similar to TFN
