We should start brainstorming movies to watch for the next movie night

You had some decently popular stuff like the Hunger games but I am talking about Harry Potter level big. Okay maybe not that big but close

 

The best way to make an audience hate a character is having them hurt a dog. I just came to this realization

People barely ever talk about him killing Han.

 

Last book series I really got into was the Silo series by Hugh Howey, read the trilogy last summer (Wool, Shift, and Dust). Thought they were fantastic, and has a similar 'vibe' to the Hunger Games (in a good way)

Interestingly, the author is also A-ok with fanworks based on his series, there are a number of officially published books by different authors set in the same universe, some of which are even advertised in the main trilogy, that's really cool

you know I never understood why J.K felt like she had to add in tweets about Dumbledore or what have you. Yes her books written in the 1990s and early 2000s were not inclusive. But most people in film or writing were not trying to be diverse and adding it into the story via tweets is just not real it feels fake.

 

Plus she could’ve added it into Fantastic Beasts. But she didn’t, as far as I’m aware.

Well that explains that. Still it doesn’t really fix her trying to make her books seem more inclusive by just saying stuff years after the fact.

Okay I just rewatched the scene and there is only one “hint” at their relationship as Dumbledore says when someone said that they were as close as brothers “ we were closer”

Today I learned that Area 51 security has has used deadly force before. Only one person has been killed trespassing into the place. That was because he had an object and they wanted to take them out.

Usually they just arrest people and then fine them 600 dollars.

 

if you trespass on a restricted Federal site you can't expect good things to happen. How dumb are people? Do they think the alien/alien spacecraft, if it was there, is still there after all these years?
