One thing I'm noticing while in this rewatch, is that Pocahontas uses a very unusual colour aesthetic of bright pink and pale green for the backgrounds. It's surprisingly effective and gives the film a very unique look:

I don't know, like with when I watched Shrek, maybe once you've watched a certain film enough times you start focusing overly on the backgrounds :p

Talking of Grandmother Willow, it's interesting that after watching Hunchback of Notre Dame the other week, that Willow is basically the exact same character as Laverne the Gargoyle from that movie. They have the same elderly demeanour, have limited plot interaction while giving sage advice, and even have the same running gag about animals landing on them ;)

What can I say, I find background art is an underrated and overlooked discipline in animated movies ;)

Oh I guess I missed that part the one time I watched it - that confused me the entire movie :p That kid Thomas though - boy, I love that child with my entire heart.

    I haven’t seen Pocahontas.

    Or Hunchback.

From LOTR, I’ve only seen FOTR. Once.

I’ve only seen the Indy films, Jaws, ET & Minority Report from Spielberg.

I’m really on quite a roll this week, aren’t I?

And those are the only movies you’ve seen, probably :p

Speaking of Spielberg, he’s at the restaurant AGAIN :p

Really wish this song hadn't been cut:

I really like the lyrics and themes, it's honestly up there when it comes to Disney romance songs. Just makes the film and the relationship feel more complete, and I always insert it in when re-watching the movie :)

    Plus, this transition:
