Almost certain that buying an electric these days is a good purchase- otherwise why would General Motors release an all electric Hummer pickup by the end of the year?

I'm gonna interrupt the condescending "completely different Germanic language" train (as if Old English were closer to Chinese or something and not simply an ancestral form of English) and say you were on the right track. In Old English they were pronounced more like "thoo" and "thay". I can't type how they were spelled because my phone's keyboard doesn't have thorn and eth unlike my old one.

I never "correct" people on that and I'm probably the only here who has formally studied Anglo-Saxon

Speaking about electric cars Elon Musk still thinks he’ll have a person on Mars by 2026. Let it go Elon.

I mean space X has done some great things like making reusable rockets but I have a sneaking suspicion NASA will be the first to get people to Mars

And I doubt it will be anytime soon.

Honestly, Elon could set his sights on the Moon and achieve way more. Having a moon colony would be freaking awesome

It’s also way easier and way less dangerous. We went to the moon in the 1960s I think it would be probably like 10 times as easy now. Mars you have to contend with the radiation, being in space for months before even getting to the planet and a whole bunch of other things.

Correct also Old English is more accurately referred to as Anglo Saxon and Is closer to the modern Western Frisian and Dutch languages than to Modern or Elizabethan English.

English, Anglo Saxon, Scots,Dutch Frisian and Low German are all classified as the North Sea Germanic branch of the Western Germanic languages as opposed North Germanic which includes Old Norse and the modern Scandinavian languages or the extinct East Germanic languages also known as the Oder-Vistula languagesq, which where the languages of the tribes the Romans encountered such as the Visigoths, Goths, Brugundians, and Vandals who would later adopt Romance Languages.

Sorry bit of a language nerd, 3/4 of my Grandparents spoke Yiddish as their first language(they all spoke English and where born in North America but my Great Grandparents where born in Europe and used Yiddish in their homes), which itself is a sub-dialect of Elbe German with Hebrew, Aramaic, and Slavic as heaviy influences with Romance languages a lesser influence, all written in Hebrew.

I'm gonna have to be that guy again and point out that Anglo-Saxonists do prefer to use Old English when referring to the language itself. At least that's what my professor told me. But other than that, yeah, sounds about right.
