Anyway, I couldn't finish it before my apartment's 10pm quiet hours. And... it already stuttered twice. Like paused and skipped several seconds, as though the disc were scratched, but this disc is brand new. I actually hope it's my player and not the disc, because it's a month too late to exchange the copy. My model of 4K player is known to have playback issues, but I can't recall having this problem with another 4K disc, maybe once but I don't remember which movie it was. It often happens in general with the UHD-BD format, but usually with triple-layer (100GB) discs and I looked it up, and all the SW discs are only dual layer (at 66GB for whatever reason).

That makes me nervous for the other three SW movies in 4K I own but still haven't watched, ROTS, ANH and Rogue One. But I never had this problem with ROTJ and TPM. Maybe my player is just progressively getting worse.

 

I hate it when discs do that skip. It is a crap shoot, when you buy. I've had to re-buy cause of that issue.

 

I’m just saying, it’s not over-praising Nolan to simply acknowledge his status as the fourth person in the Holy Tetrad.

 

My first troubleshooting step would be to try it on another player, which is a trivial thing to do with CDs and DVDs and even BDs, but I don't have another 4K player right now. I guess whenever I can get my hands on my brother's PS5 again, I'll try it.

 

A PS4 wouldn't work?

Forgive my ignorance, but I don't own a 4K TV so I don't own any 4K Blurays.

I like how Dandelo has positioned himself as the movie pharisee. Not what I would expect.

 

Nolan is also one of the few directors that a movie will be a hit based on his name. Kind of like Spielberg in the 80's/90's or James Cameron. I doubt people would have been lining up to see Oppenheimer if Nolan's name was not attached. Not everyone likes him, but you don't reach that status without audience trust.
