The film just feels so homely. I think that’s why it continues to age so dang well for me - it’s carried by dialogue, conversation, and setting (with a sprinkle of delicious fan service) rather than action and high stakes. It’s at #8 on my rankings page

Well TECHNICALLY all of North America could lay claim to Thanksgiving if they want to

We did. Unfortunately my grandpa is in the hospital and not doing well so I think that sapped a lot of energy out of everyone. We’re officially at the point where I’m worried as he’s 94 with heart issues since his 50s. Will keep praying though as he’s surprised us all many times.

Gotta say my favorite thing about this place (RYL) is how movies that are, let's say, controversial, can pretty much always find a clique of strong support in here lol. For example, I can say - The Hobbit films are unironically high quality fantasy films - and no one will tear you down for it (also, just look at the WIDE variety of opinions in the James Bond poll lol).

So, Wicked (Part 1) is outstanding. I am now eagerly anticipating part two.

 

@darkspine10 has the most epic vacation photos, hands down. Glad to see consensus for Wicked Part 1 is good to see.

I LOVE the Hobbit films.

 

I only saw the first two, and never got around to seeing the third one. I have read the book though.
