Why do when I see a bus like that, it shout "The Partridge Family"? :p

And I do thought some of the name of the bus were a little silly. But I do agree that Rogue Runner is a cool name.

I hate the name millenium peregrine

Only because you like your name. [face_rolleyes]

And a Peregrine is a breed of falcon, not eagle. ;)

I'll be at Contempo on Saturday regardless because I'm shooting commercials. Anyone want to be a geek in one of them? It's a non-speaking role so there are no lines to memorize. ;)

The only plan we have for Saturday is in the earlier hours (before 1 or 2) when we go to the bank to turn in our paperwork for a home equity. Other than that we were planning on not planning anything.

Actually the commercial shoot got postponed to another weekend. I have Darth Mitch-al to tend all day Saturday while Darth Daddius and Obi-Sean do Little League and Cub Scout stuff.

Having the Sith Child around is not condusive to getting anything done. ;)

(BTW, my other SW handle is Qui-Mom Jinn.)

Did we decide on a date yet? Are we changing the costuming workshop into a bus cleaning party? Inquiring minds want to know. And pests like me want to know too. ;)

Linda, how about you name it what anakin_girl said at the other board. She mention a good name would be either "Blue Milk" or "Beru's Blue Milk". I like those 2 names she choose. Beside, it look blue enough like the blue milk don't you think? :)

I would hesitate putting a color in the name.

It may not remain blue forever.

The bus is up at Contempo by the way... Michael just called me on speaker phone FROM THE BUS, to tell me he was having the first party on the bus WITHOUT US! Apparently there was a power outage up at CD and he and a few folks decided to go wait it out in the bus. But hey... at least these are all design guys... so while they were in there, they were thinking up Star Wars designs for the interior of the bus. :D I want to turn the existing table in the bus (it has been converted to an RV on the inside) into a Dejarik table. :D

If Tatooine Taxi is out of the mix, Rogue Runner is by far the best name.

^ Only Michael can answer that question Donna.

I like Rogue Runner, but I also like Millenium Peregrine. It was very clever of Brian to think up that name. When we have all the name choices in, we will choose the name by poll.

Well now that hell has stopped breaking loose on me...I have time to post.

The power has gone in and out all day here at CD.

We can not work at Contempo this weekend.

I can drive it somewhere else and we can work on it.

I like it. If memory serves, this is the same model as the one in which 27+- members of a family were burned to a crisp in on their way to a family reunion some 20-odd years ago. They had also "converted" theirs into an RV and had made the emergency exits un-reachable.

Didn't "the girls" also use one of these in the movie "Where Angels Go, Trouble Follows?" (I believe so). At any rate, it has great possibilities.

As for the name, I'll offer the perspective of a recently converted SW geek. As such, I still have insight into the mind of an "outsider", and may include some ideas or concepts that would be passed-over by a dyed-in-the-wool lifelong geek.

My first piece of advice, and most important imho, is to avoid at all costs giving this vehicle some sort of "cool" name. Nothing will attract the ire and wrath of mindless vandals and roadidiots as a busfull of SW geeks who think they have a bitchencool ride. It is the ambition of these mindless zombies to jam the proverbial stick in the spokes of anything that a fan may find the least bit "cool".
Therefore, I would suggest either not naming it at all, or giving it a monicker that shows we can poke fun at ourselves. Nothing too erudite or esoteric, but something that your basic idiot can maybe understand. First thought in my head along the lines of Millenium Falcon/Peregrine, was Aluminum Penguin (just an example, mind you). Anyone remember Gonzo's motorhome from the Trapper John, MD series? TITANIC...I loved that name. Biggest rustbucket in the parking lot, and the name showed thought and a sense of humor. The M*A*S*H* tent? The Swamp. I knew an old Pollack who drove around the country in his converted UPS paneltruck; The War-Wagon.....That's enough examples. Just realize that a "funbus" attitude will be received exponentially better than a "geekbus taking ourselves WAAAY too seriously" will. It may avert a few tossed eggs along the way. Which aren't good for the smashingly stylish paintjob our vehicle now sports.
