I think that the rest of the planets were known to be destroyed...but At Attin was 'lost'. So that is why everyone believes there is treasure there.

Nice to have continued proper lore building in this show. Now we have the names of all the Jewels of the Republic and we will probably get a sense of the culture on each planet.

This planet mirroring At Attin means that At Attin also had ridiculously oversized gun emplacements that are hidden in the government buildings.

I have a feeling SM-33’s captain actually had some noble intent and wasn’t simply trying to take the “treasure of At Attin” for himself; did he have SM-33 kill him and scuttle himself on At Attin to protect a horrible secret? Maybe each planet acts as a Centerpoint Station sort of thing entrapping something evil? Then if an enemy force was trying release that evil and took out most of the outposts and At Attin is the last seal…

The Captain - AKA One-eyed Willie - will probably be found in one of the latter episodes, surrounded by his cursed treasure, protecting it if you will.

The plot and mystery continues to deepen.

Eerie how At Achrann was basically the post-apocalyptic, war-torn version of At Attin. I do wonder how it got that way. If there was some sort of revolt against the droid supervisor on that world, and then the violence just never stopped. Also be interesting to learn what exactly happened to the other Jewels of the Republic beside At Attin and how they got that way. If it was the same fate that befell At Achrann or if each world had its own story and outcome.

Cool to visit the Fallen Sanctum that is At Achrann's version of the Supervisor's Tower on At Attin, and to learn the names of other Jewels of the Old Republic.

Neel was adorable, and stole the episode with his cuteness.

Though Fern's moment of doubt helped expand her character.

Eager to see the adventure and the mystery continue to unfold in next week's episode.

Probably a strong 9 out of 10 if I were to rate it.

I counted 6 out of 7 though. Have they mentioned the other one?
And no, Alderaan is not one of them. KB had mentioned that they learned about Coruscant and Alderaan, but not that it is one of the jewels.

Something you may not have heard..."Can't say I've ever heard of an At-Attin". Made me laugh.
I think we've all heard of it by now. Seems like we are led to believe the treasure is there. If they can find the planet, which we are certain they will right? Will it still be Pleasantville when they arrive? Will there still be a treasure? I'd imagine they will find just as the pirates get there and this newfound ravaged gang will help them. The French girl was pretty good. Neal really is a ladies man, er Max Rebo-ish guy.

Took awhile to get going but overall it did progress the story a little and we got to see some emotion from the kiddos. I like how we didnt need to get into a scuffle yet. I enjoyed the writers imaginative ideas on this taking us into an unknown plot with plenty of mystery. The same look as AT Attin but somewhere nearby? Glorious idea. SM-33 was a star, hope he gets his gears together. Where will they go next?

Well, that was a dark turn -- probably the most dramatic contrast I've seen from a droid. I also like that it stemmed from a moment of inspiration for Fern, and that in turn from one of greater vulnerability for her. All in all, I think this is the strongest episode so far in terms of character. I thought it might end right when 33 remembered At Attin (and I'm glad it didn't). Pretty good swerve at the beginning, too.

SM-33's transformation made me flashback to the War-Mantle episode of Rebels. Maybe he's former Imperial Droid, with a good dose of pirate reprogramming. This droid may end up having the best back story.

One of the other AT planets would be my first choice. If they're all designed the same, maybe the co-ordinates still exist on one of their pillars?

I wonder if the droid's former pirate captain is the one who has taken over the kids' planet.

    Very good episode.
    Good character development all around.
Haven’t really read the High Republic books or comics yet, but is there any possible event that could be tied into the loss of those planets to the knowledge of the Galactic population?

That was a lot of fun.

The show is a refreshing new take on Star Wars that still feels like Star Wars. Beyond Star Wars this is just a really good show.

I think Jod lied about how he got free and got the eopies from the other group… it does not make any sense: you are a group of warriors fighting against another clan for territorial dominance and you just seized a big group of eopies that not only guarantee transport and food to your people but also help you assert dominance over the other group and make them weak without them…
you catch a guy with a droid in front of a big spaceship with guns that you could seize and use to destroy the turrets the Troiks are using to keep them safe from you and said guy offers you some republic credits, which on your planet at that point are probably only shiny metal because money is of no use if you can’t use it to buy food and weapons…, and you just say “sure whatever walk free take the eopies and we will leave you and your ship alone!”?

Does not make any sense with what we learned of the planet they are on and the living conditions there…

So either he pulled a Jedi mind trick on them or doesn’t want to tell the kids he had to do what he had to do to break free… or else he made some sort of pact with the other warriors (hope not…)

And also he is very caring to the kids… behaves like a parent or a master to them… if he was really only after the treasure he would not do like that?

And when they landed he said something like “that looks like my home planet”?

So I am wondering what there is that we still need to know…

But the “bought the eopies with some credits” does not make any sense with the context… what do you think?

I concur. I mean what are they going to spend the credits on? These are supposed to warring tribes who send their children into combat situations. Of course, this is SW. Children in combat is getting to be the standard. The first part of the episode fell flat, the situation and demeanor of the inhabitants didn't feel right. Jod, SM-33 and the kids continue to engage. The mystery gets more and more intriguing.

So, there were hints before, but now it is obvious that SM-33 is B.E.N. on steroids.

Maybe it is an elaborate con
I mean all the discourse about “treating our kids like adults and empowering them” felt a bit like some propaganda or a preset approach than true spontaneous expression

Also when Jod was caught he goes on his knees then looks up and says “oh shoot me already” and I thought it could be the reaction of someone who knows the person who caught him? What if the other group are in reality pirates or something fighting the original inhabitants on the planet that don’t want to disclose the treasure of the great work?

I also did think the behavior of the Troiks was off but could not understand if it is supposed to be that way or it’s just a part of the episode that did not properly work…

It looked like a setup rite of passage for the kids somehow?

But I really liked the episode even if, as far as now, it is the one I liked less (because I loved the others)

And Jod is growing on me… I may be developing a small crush also [face_blush] man that raspy voice is on par with Mando’s one and well I like how he is behaving…
Is jump to shut off SM33 was very Ezra-ish, was there a bit of force there?

Good episode but in my opinion not quite as good as the first three. This was the first one where I felt like I was watching a kids ahow. The passages with the Troik where somewhat hamfisted in the delivery of their message. War is bad and children shouldn't be soldiers are very good messages of course but some of the scenario felt a bit forced. I still enjoyed the episode a lot and ir had some great character work for Neel, SM 33 and Fern.

I do wonder about the timeline of the Jewels destruction. Last episode it sounded like they were destroyed during the time of the Old Republic but the ruins and the fact that some of the technology still works kind off indicate it can't have been that long ago. Also I noticed that the Hattan were using a Separatist tank so that might indicate a destruction during the Clone Wars. That seems to recen though because then the adults would probably also still remember the before which didn't seem to be the case. Wonder how the Hattan got the tank then though. They do seem to trade with offworlders but they must have offered a lot of hides to receive a tank. And since they seem evenly matched with the Troik it doesn't seem like they should have trading goods that are worth a lot more.

Due to the off world trade I also don't find it inconceivable that the Hattan would know the value of Republic credits. And the fact that they could use them to buy weapons from traders makes them worth more than a couple of Eopies. And the ship probably isn't much use to them because they don't necessarily have the technical knowledge to operate it or even dismantle its weapons. Why they didn't just kill and rob Jod is a question of course. But maybe they are wary of harming off worlders in general because killing and/or robbing them might cut them of from off-world trade which would be catastrophic for the balance of power.

Overall I'll give this episode 8/10.

I was hoping to see Neel in combat, but we can't corrupt sweet Neel like that. Another fun episode with adding more intrigue. Wonder where the Separatist tank and Mud Trooper/AT-ST Pilot helmets came from the Troiks had?

Of course the droids original captain is a stand in for "Captain Flint". In the book he murdered all the pirates whom buried the treasure (knew its location).

I wonder if we will see the original captain in a flashback.

I think I lost the detail about them mentioning off world trade? When is it in the episode? I still find it unlikely that they let Jod go for some credits… if they are ruthless warriors and there were a lot of them they would at least have tried to fight Jod and steal everything from him? unless it turns out they are in in some sort of scam and that they are experimenting on the Troik by creating a fake war on the planet? Or they really are the good guys?
more we did not see it but Jod and Smee put up a hell of a fight!
