If they give us any Jod Jack Silvo backstory, it may be amusing, but I'll believe none of it. The man is a consummate liar. That's part of the character's charm.

Probably not all of that...but that the entire planet was there to work at the Mint...and people did not leave the planet. They were born, grew up, worked there and died...all without ever having the opportunity to leave and do anything else.

I found this interesting loved the episode and a lot predicted the treasure was republic credits and they were right! But lots of questions was the Emperor behind this why didn't the Empire know about this and who is the Supervisor I love all these questions the show is putting out there. And the treasure fits the pirate story. How about the Ship being from the planet that poses even more questions! And yet again great cliffhanger can't wait to see how this all ends!

Well, that's sure not how he had acted before. If he helped her just because he liked her, why didn't he help her before? One time he was about to rip them apart on that other At planet, and then the other time he obeyed Jod unquestionably at the spa planet when Fern yielded to him... Again, it was just so randomly and did not logically follow at all for him to turn on Jod now. And it didn't matter anyway, since Jod got on the ship to At Attin anyway, and SM-33 ended up destroyed.

Silvo was captain of the frigate, and while he tried to claim captaincy of the Onyx Cinder he never relinquished command of the frigate so his claim was invalid and Fern reassumed the captaincy

Sorry for the double post, forgot to hit multiquote

The Cinder may be a mint planet ship, but it's not necessarily from At Attin. We know Rennod was on at least one other At planet.

WHAT?!? An episode CANNOT end on a cliffhanger like that!
Jod is quite the villain. So ruthless. Jude Law certainly had fun with this role.
The kids were great as usual. Very impressed with their acting!
I really liked the robots nonstop threatening to stun the citizens. It's for their own good!
    Looking forward to the finale!

Then why didn't he say so? The fact that you can captain only one ship automatically assumes that your previous captaincy gets revoked. So the frigate is without a captain, but Jod is the captain of the Onyx Cinder now... which is what SM-33 acknowledged, verbally, when Jod claimed the captaincy over the Onyx Cinder. But then Fern goes "unclaimsies for kids only" (???), and SM-33 listens to her without a word. The whole thing is illogical, and I think they just needed to get SM-33 out of the picture.

    One of those be-careful-what-you-wish-for moments.

Yeah, that was relatable, partly in not wanting the adventure with these characters to end.

Another solid episode really don't want this series to end. Lots of questions still and I'm really not sure what to expect. Just know I wasn't ready for this episode to end when it did.

The Supervisor is quite interesting. We now have a voice- but, could that just be a generic recording. It feels very "pay no attention to the man behind the curtain"

And taking an emissary- with no proof asked- straight to the vaults feels like a trap.

Also, hard to believe the droids just let the parents pilot down there to get their kids.

I think Jod may be about to meet his match and At Attin may have a dark secret that the parents know about but the kids are not supposed to know yet. Really looking forward to next week.

Alas, poor Brutus. Of course he was a mutineer Silvo! His name comes from the most famous backstabber in history!

I get the feeling that the Barrier is going to end up getting destoried at some point. Maybe not at the end of the season but sometime when At Attin comes back in the Mandoverse.

But I don't think even the parents know the full story about At Attin besides its purpose. I don't think it's actually had visitors for centories if not millenia

There is definitely more to everything that led up to the final scene. It was too smooth for a planet that has been meticulous about hiding away. What happens next will be fascinating. Does Jod turn that light sabre on the droid he is with and then use the parents and children as collateral to contact the ship? I don't think the Supervisor will care that much because basically, it will be a few rogue citizens lost to save the entire planet, it would be worth it. I have no idea which way it will go and I love it.

Jod arrived in an At Attin / Republic ship. This may be all the proof required.

The bigger question is why the Empire didn't know about At Attin. It knew about every Jedi temple.

The Good: More fun and Jude Law was scary good in the homestretch. The opening with the parents in the woods being chased by the droids was very eerie to me. Completely disagree with the comparison to the little Leia chase. I especially like the dynamic of their home being the most dangerous part of the journey yet. That's a great sort of twist.

    The Bad: At-Attin security is a little...inconsistent.

The Ugly: On the kill Jod, don't kill Jod, back and forth, they should've resisted the "about to press the airlock button" tension raiser. That felt like too much, and was the first time the show veered into Mando S3/ BoBF quality (for me).

But I just love this show. The look, the acting, the writing. The small amount of, OK, cheese (@Glitterstim :)) with genuine stakes and emotional authenticity. It's right up there behind Andor and Mando S1 and S2, for me.

The chase scene just seemed a little over comedic and clunky and felt off. Everything Jude Law did was absolutely top drawer, brilliant character.. think the episode improved as it went on

Ha, didn't expect the Supervisor to be Stephen Fry, but I approve!

Good episode; really interested to see how this ends up. I'm pretty sure we'll get a Long John Silver ending with Jod.

Cool episode and quite the cliffhanger. I could relate to Wim not wanting to go back home after a great adventure. I went to summer camp for a few days when I was a kid. No parents. I didn't want to go back home. lol

The whole claimsies thing is really confusing to anyone outside the USA. Sometimes it would be nice if the writers remembered they are supposed to be in a GFFA. And that also applies to Mods, Pirates, etc.

I think 33 stopped playing strictly by pirate rules for once because he likes the kids.
