I'm assuming that Kratos has enough pull to get his newest recruits into the ball; it's a whim on this particular occassion, and he thinks that they might get used to picking up random conversation tidbits with the background of unintelligible noise you get at parties and the like, maybe in preparation for undercover assignments. More importantly, he wants Selene for a particular assignment that you'll see below.

    ********************

    Ktala - I hope you don't mind this fast-forward...
    Palace of Countess Lai'shina, Artorius

Allie and Lai'shina made their way - without any more unwelcome surprises - back to the latter's chambers, where a squad of guards and handmaidens was standing watch over the intruder. She was slight of build and more or less nondescript - for a Hapan - and as per Allie's orders, unconscious at the moment. Her hands and feet had been secured, and a small pile of weapons and infiltration gear lay across the room.

The guard captain approached Allie, her eyes flicking back and forth between the agent and the disguised Countess. "Glad to see you're alright, Agent Norin," she said, her voice glum. "We found a total of five neutralized guards after checking the garden. The squad there just reported in: no tranquilizers in the blood, nothing broken or bruised. Probably someone who knows pressure points, very, very well, though I don't know why she didn't just kill them." She paused, then glanced at the unconscious spy. "Still no match on the intruder's face or prints anywhere." She sighed, and gestured to a small portable computer on which a map of the palace was displayed. "You can access security commands from that - we have it wired through the walls to the main security room," she said, pointing to a jack in the wall near the Countess' bed. "Oh, and the guests are locked down in a conference room, with guards at all the entrances."

The guard captain said nothing more, waiting for Allie's instructions. Meanwhile, Lai'shina had started pacing in irritation and had thrown her hood back, so that her handmaidens were now more alert and the guards mildly surprised.

On the other side of the door, Selene found that she didn't need her night vision goggles. White light suddenly flooded her vision, and with the goggles still on she was blinded for a few seconds. Then the light went away for a few seconds, then flared back on, then it went away again. It continued to switch, in irregular intervals, between that bright illumination and near-total darkness.

The whirring noise, it turned out, had been coming not from the door, but from a lot of projectiles flying from wall to wall, that Selene could see in the moments during which the corridor was lighted. From knee level to about neck level, the walls were filled with small holes from which long, narrow darts - or something - were fired loudly in irregular intervals.

"Who ever said that Intel work had to be all about subtlety?" came the affectedly innocent voice of Clarimond Taye over the intercom.

Meanwhile, the counting computer had started to count down out loud. A pleasant female voice was intoning: "Twenty, nineteen, eighteen..." in intervals slightly longer than a single second.

    Later, shortly before the wedding

"Well, don't you look nice," Taye commented as she walked with Selene from Shadow Hall to a waiting aircab, with the droid Athena driving. After they entered, the Operations Director tapped her fingers idly on the seat, then said, "You're good, Viator, you're very good. So the Director has lined up a... unique assignment for you. Before the wedding celebration starts in earnest, we'll have to disable the security systems in Countess Tek'lara's private chambers." She paused, as if thi

"You're not a bad dancer, Count Ferona, not bad at all," Iana commented lightly to Lerexic as the music stopped and the Queen Mother made her entrance.

She decided to stay at the Count's side for the moment, and took his arm, tugging him gently along with the rest of the crowd to the Sun Room.

    Black Moon V, Secret Location

Once her ship was secure, T'Ruga opened the door and stepped out. She walked down to the bottom of her ramp and looked toward the lone being standing there. "I am here to request information from one of your operatives."

"I will need your name and some identification," the stranger prompted. As he waited for T'Ruga to comply with his request, he added, "Who is it that you would like to speak with?" In the event that she had no specific preference, she would be taken to the first operative that was available.

T'Ruga nodded. "I wish to speak with Duruoki Genovan. We both share a common interest, that I wish to speak about." Ruga shifted her pose every so slightly. "As for my identification, you only need know that I am from the Assassins guild, and that I am within the organization." she said, as she flashed the Identification card that she had received from Gorick, proving her membership within the Black Sun.

Ruga kept her mind focused, ignoring the area around her. She understood why they had led her to such a 'lonely' landing area. And she was quite aware that she was more than likely being watched. So she didnt waste time looking around. Information first. With her mind keenly focused on that objective, she studied the lone operative in front of her, waiting for his response.

Celeste ignored Erik's comment, as she looked toward him. It was almost midnight, a few minutes before their race was set to begin. Out at the city's edges there were fewer watchers, fewer eyes and observers, which gave the competitors a chance to begin without attracting too much unwanted attention. They would finish at the Inner City Slums where the rest of Celeste's gang awaited.

Holding her flag within her hand, the seventeen year old female gazed toward her second and nodded her readiness. "See you on the other side," she called out to him, as she slid the flag's pole into a pipe on the side of her swoop. The flag fluttered with the cool night breeze, its pole secure. It was attached magnetically, so as to ensure it did not slip out during the race. The precaution was not a means of cheating, though Celeste suspected Erik did not have that same advantage.

She hopped onto her swoop bike and gunned the engine. "Ready!" She yelled over the humming that dominated the air. With a slight gesture to her opponent, she turned ahead and leaned forward, waiting for the signal to begin. Not more than a few seconds later, a bright flare lit up in the sky ahead, signalling the race's commencement.

Celeste took off like a podracer in its final lap. She did not look back as her swoop sped on ahead, across the open road, toward a street between two tall, tower-like buildings. Beyond that, she knew there would be a very sharp right turn, as she approached the city proper.

    Imperial City Spaceport, Coruscant

Several hours passed as she journeyed through hyperspace. Juhani was careful in her movements and had followed her tag aboard the public passanger liner. Sharp eyes tried to spot the names of those on board, especially the ones just above her own name, though nothing appeared remarkable.

It was only once the ship entered the Core that Juhani was able to spot her target. He sat a few rows behind her and appeared to be sleeping. An annoucement was made to indicate that the estimated time of arrival at Coruscant was only half an hour. It wouldn't be much more than a few hours before the liner's passengers exited.

Both men stepped away from their beaten target upon seeing Jeb. A glint from the poor light overhead drew the bomb technician's attention to a vibroblade that hung loosely in the palm of one of the thugs. The other wore a chain about his waist, which he began to unravel.

Jeb had no doubt as to their intentions, and, though the vibroblade was obviously broken, he knew that the two men were serious about harming him. Try as he might to persuade them to leave him be, Jeb soon realised that there was no chance the thugs would be leaving him alone without a fight.

They ignored his words and approached him with greater haste, eager to prevent him from even considering escape. One of the thugs, the blade-holder, broke into a run and headed right toward Jeb, while the other began to swing his chain overhead, as if to throw it at the bomber man. The blade-holder was three metres from Jeb when the chain-weilder threw his weapon like a sling, the metallic thing sailing through the air, on an arc aimed at striking Jeb's head.

Huntress and Kuno headed up the stairs and into the second floor hall. At the far end they spotted a tall Trandoshan headed toward them. More difficult to see was what lay behind the alien reptile, at the end of the corridor. Two bodies were slumped in the corner, one of a recently deceased bounty hunter and the other of a Trandoshan who had been in the wrong place at

"Proskillk?" asked a disgruntled looking Bothan "Haven't seen him around here in a few months at least. Who's asking?"

"Javert" replied the man. "Family friend with regards from his mother."

He scanned the crowd around him in the tavern area. No Trandoshans. Javert made his way to a door in the back. Stock room, empty, at least in terms of the merchandise he was seeking. This level was clear. He could either go through the tavern again and check the upstairs via the main stair well or use his laser cutters to create a new way up through the ceiling. Javert decided this second option to be a bit impractical on account of he didn't know for sure the Proskillk was even here.

Javert started up the stairs with caution. As he neared the top, he saw two others stopped at the top. Were they being stopped by his bounty? He wasn't about to let these people get in his way. He set his E-11 Blaster for Stun, fired at both in the back and tried to grab one as a sheild to see Proskillk momentarily baffled by this.

    The Huntress
Second Floor, Dewback Inn, Crimson Corridor, Zi-Kree Sector, Coruscant

The Huntress was enjoying herself. She was almost flushed, with the sensation she had picked up from upstairs. Death. Perhaps, she would indeed find a game worthy of playing here. Kuno was behind her, as her 'guardian', and he had made that point QUITE clear downstairs. It was no fun playing with such weak minds. But upstairs, seemed to be something of interest. As Huntress and Kuno headed up the stairs and into the second floor hall, she spotted movement. At the far end they spotted a tall Trandoshan headed toward them. Behind it, lay something on the floor. Probably what she had felt.

Raising his blaster, the Trandoshan that was very much alive narrowed his eyes suspiciously, as he caught sight of the newcomers. His toothy snarl was one of warning for them to back of and keep to themselves. Clearly, he expected their cooperation.

What he got in response was a light-hearted laugh from Huntress, as she stepped to clear the stairwell. She noticed how he held the blaster. She smiled, and was about to speak with the being, when she felt something else quickly draw her attentions. She knew that Kuno would move quickly, and not wishing to stop the game just yet, she left it to 'Durge' to handle.

//Enjoy.// was her only thought to Kuno. The thought made her smile. Kuno would get to play as well. A simple thought would send the shot offside, as Huntress, made a small yelp as she 'slipped' on the top stair, and 'fell' sideways, rolling. Her eyes narrowed dangeriously for only a moment, as a passing thought crossed her mind. Her head snapped up, looking at the Trandoshan, faking a look of suprise. As she placed her hand on her ankle, looking towards the stairwell. If this creature was being hunted, it might make an interesting souce of information as well.

"Oh! How rude!" was her softly murmored comment. Indeed, there was a game, worthy of her interest here.

Kuno followed his 'Mistress' up the stairs. He was in full alert mode, should anything go 'wrong', seeing how they usually did, at least in his experience. Once they had made it upstairs, they were greeted by a blaster weilding Trandoshan. With one look, Kuno could determine that this was probably the perpetrator of some dark deed. His eyes and his manner reeked of darkness. Kuno simply smirked.

During that moment, the Nihojin bounty hunter sensed another presence coming up the stairs even before he detected the being's foot falls. This one was feeling rather aggressive.

Kuno's hand immediately fell to his vibro katana as he began to turn. In his mind, he already saw how events were to proceed. The Huntress would deal with the Trandoshan if he became a threat while he dealt with the immediate problem behind them.

Through the darkside, Kuno felt the exact moment of the cowardly attack. He used his ensuing anger at being shot at from behind to fuel his speed. With a surge of the Force, Kuno pivoted out of harm's way and slashed at the attacker's weapon hand with the full intention of cutting the offending appendage off. His motion ended with him standing diagonally from the fool who'd shot at them and his humming sword masterfully making contact with the flesh of his neck. The last move was meant to draw blood and serve as a warning that his head could have come off if he so chose....and it still could.

Kuno found it strange that he had not decapitated the fool, but realized just then that Huntress delighted in interrogation... and that was probably why he stayed his hand from the final killing blow.

Either way, Kuno stared at the man, his eyes were dark and filled with black flames of anger. He half snarled.

"Move and you die." He said in a dark voice. He wasn't kidding either.

Now it was time for his "Mistress" to have her fun. Kuno wanted to smile just then. He deliberately did not remove the attacker's other weapons, as he hoped that the fool would make a move and give him an excuse to spill his fool's blood over his boots.

Javert winced in pain at the loss of his hand but showed no obvious emotion otherwise. Momentarily, he considered drawing a pistol from his jacket but he knew he was no match for these force sensitives. "Javert's the name. Proskillk there's my game." He said with a half grin.

The Vibro Katana severed the attacker's hand with surgical precision, as expected. The attacker winced, but to his credit, he did not scream in pain. To Kuno's mild surprise, the man used the pain to reinforce his tenacity as he showed no obvious emotion.

Kuno almost smirked. This one was good at controlling his emotions, too bad his decision to shoot at them was most unwise.

"Javert's the name. Proskillk there's my game." He said with a half grin.

    Kuno did not respond immediately.

Now that he took a good look at his attacker, Kuno safely surmized that this one was a bounty hunter. The blaster-weilding trandoshan was apparently his target, or so he claimed. Inwardly, Kuno began to appreciate the irony of the situation. Too bad. The now handless bounty hunter's own reckless actions almost cost him his life instead of just his hand. Interestingly enough, Kuno did not recognize Javert's name or that of his trandoshan bounty. He'd been out of the hunting game for a while now and was no longer up to date with the who's-who in bounty hunting, but not without good reason.

The Vibro Katana still hummed as it remained in place. Kuno's humorless smirk was mixed with increasing annoyance.

"Durge." He said finally, giving the bounty hunter a 'false' name.

As 'Durge' continued to keep Javert from making a move, he expanded his senses. He certainly did not want any other 'surprises', especially from the trandoshan the bounty hunter was hunting. In his mind, he played another likely scenario. The Trandoshan wished to passed undisturbed, which yet remained to be seen, but if he made a sudden play to dispatch Javert....

Well, that would be interesting as well, but they'd have to cross that bridge 'when' and 'if' they came to it.

For now, the Huntress had the leading role, whatever happened next was her call.

Juhani sat back relaxing, at least in apperance. Right now, she knew she had to be careful. While she had some trailing her, that she might trust to a point, once they got to Coruscant, she KNEW things were going to get very nasty. It was too easy to hide dark secrets there, right under the very noses of the Empire. Juhani wondered who led the Empire at the moment. She had been out of touch with things for so very long, being under cover. Juhani shrugged off those thoughts. SHE still had a very important mission to complete. She was not about to get careless now. She was too close. Problem was, once she got to Coruscant, she had no idea who she could trust, except for herself. Juhani sighed.

Her Id now said she was Carol. Carolyn Sandholl. She almost had snorted at that name. Plain and simple. Oh well, it was what was needed now. Something simple. Juhani thoughts turned to that. tagging her mark with a tracker would be perfect..but it would be too easy to be found that way. Any outgoing signals could be traced. No she needed something simpler. And now, back on Coruscant she could get it. All she needed was one thing. That shouldnt be too hard to collect. All she needed was a small sample. And then she could follow her target anywhere.

Juhani got prepared to do exactally that, before the ship reached Coruscant. Luckily, collecting a sample from her tag, should be easy, on such a huge ship. All she had to do was wait for an opportune moment.

Kuno followed his 'Mistress' up the stairs. As Huntress was dealing with the Trandoshan in front of her, Kuno was having fun behind her. Kuno was in motion, even as she had rolled foward to dodge the cowardly shot from behind.

Her anger fummed, and she knew that Kuno would feel her iritation and anger at being attacked as such. That the being was foolish enough to try and grab Kuno was rather amusing thought, but she knew that Kuno would probably not echo those sentiments.

As Huntress sat on the floor, looking up at the Trandoshawn, she heard the humm of Kuno's blade. As 'Durge', he growled out a warning. "Move and you die." He had said in a dark voice. She almost smiled. A quick look down, and now it was the Huntress turn to be suprised. Kuno had cut off the man's hand, but he had not cried out. She looked for blood. 'Now, this was interesting.', she thought to herself. What was this maner of being? The man, that had so rudely interrupted their game, spoke up. "Javert's the name. Proskillk there's my game." He said with a half grin.

He was grinning? That didnt set well with her. The Huntress's gaze quickly shifted to the Trandoshan. This being was called Proskillk? The other, a bounty hunter? Frack! Dark curses immediately went through her mind.

Kuno did not respond immediately. The Vibro Katana still hummed as it remained in place. Kuno's humorless smirk was mixed with increasing annoyance. "Durge." He said finally.

The Huntress eyes flashed between the two, her annoyance growing to a danerious rate. She kept her darkness in check, but wished she could rip both of the beings into many meaty bite sized pieces. She could really care less, if the two beings had issues, but what annoyed her was being dragged into the middle of them. Had the idiot only been a few seconds later.

The Huntress looked up at the one the bounty hunter Javert had called Proskillk. She gave a pout, staying in chracter as she looked towards the Trandoshan. "He a friend of yours?" she asked. "He's not very nice, is he?" she said, as she slowly stood up, acting as if she was favoring a leg.

She hoped the Tandoshawn would not do anything too stupid. She needed information, and bounty hunter or not, by the darkness, she was going to get it.

She looked at the bounty hunter. "Were you BORN stupid...or do you just work hard at it?" she asked him, as she pushed her hair back, the pout still on her face. "My dad is NOT gonna be happy with YOU!" she told him. If she wasnt busy looking for certain information......

    Coolness. Sounds fun.

    IC: Selene Viator

    Training Course, Shadow Hall, Hapes

White light flooded Selene's vision, causing her to let out an involuntary yelp and close her eyes, snatching the night-vision goggles off. Instinctively, she recoiled backwards, furiously blinking in an attempt to clear the stars from her eyes. What the - ?

To her relief, the light faded away for a few seconds - but that feeling was as short-lived as the darkness. The light flared back on, prompting another flinch and a soft curse, but without the night-vision goggles on it didn't hit her as hard. As the light flickered on and off at irritatingly irregular intervals, Selene belatedly realized what the whirring noise had come from.

Projectiles whizzed from wall to wall, fired from small holes set in the corridor walls. From knee to neck level, the walls were filled with the holes which discharged whatever they were shooting at loud, irregular intervals. A right gauntlet, Selene thought, eyeing the corridor dubiously - at least, during the bursts of light when she could see the corridor in the first place. Once her eyes adjusted for the light, she found that she could actually see quite well, but it was akin to watching a very bad old holo, one that kept freezing and skipping forward every few seconds.

"Who ever said that Intel work had to be all about subtlety?" came the affectedly innocent voice of Clarimond Taye over the intercom. Selene couldn't help but grin wryly for a second, but she didn't bother to reply. She had other things to worry about ... such as the counting computer, which had started to count down from twenty in an inanely pleasant voice. Much like Taye, really.

Selene pushed the somewhat silly comparison out of her mind. She had a little over eighteen seconds - or a little more, since it was counting down slightly slower than a chrono would - until something happened, and although she didn't know what exactly she knew it'd be bad. Or it could be eighteen seconds until the darts stopped being fired, but she wasn't about to count on that. Thankfully, the darts were only fired above knee level, which gave her enough space to elbow-crawl through - if she was careful - so Selene lowered herself to the ground, slid carefully under the flying things, and started moving as fast as she dared.

The Huntress was keeping her eyes and senses on the Trandoshan who was near her. This new arrival however, was strange, to say the least. The one who called himself Javert spoke. "I'd offer to shake hands but... it's down there on the floor."

The Huntress continiued to pout, as she spared a glace at the being on the stairs. This being was either very brave, or very stupid. Perhaps a mixture of both. Bounty Hunters often fell in that catagory. What caught her interest was the seeming lack of caring he had in the fact that Kuno had just removed his hand, and he seemed not the least bit worried. If she was not otherwise occupied, he would be an interesting curosity to try and discover. Javert spoke up again. "Well, my lady. If you don't mind, there are certain people who would pay me alot of money to see Proskillk."

Her eyes looked at the Trandoshan, while she held an disspationate look on her face. She was well prepared in case this being tried to use her as a hostage to escape. She was dangeriously annoyed again. If this being had some information of use to her, was one thing, but she had not had a chance to check. As she stayed still, she decided to quickly scan the mind of this creature, to see if perhaps she could find the information she sought. With its' attentions devided on this new threat, it would probably not notice any intrusions. So she continued to 'favor her leg', pouting and glaring at the newcommer, as she extended her force presence to her partner Kuno, so that they would be able to act as one, once the time came. Soon.

Erik watched her go as he leaned back against the seat of his swoop bike. He glanced at the others present, shrugged and finally took off after her. But unlike Celeste, he gained altitude until he had reached the max ceiling of the swoop--three-hundred and fifty some meters over the city. Let the girl take the twist and turns to reach the inner city slums. He'll take the direct route over the city.

But first he needed to make sure he didn't lose the flag.

Erik paused on the flat roof of some apartment building and quickly grabbed the poll with the flag. He quickly unhooked the flag from the poll and tucked it into a saddle bag on the side. The poll he slipped into the slot where usually rifles went. The rules did not specify how the flag had to be carried, just that he had to have it in order to finish victoriously. Once the flag was secured he sped off again over the city at full speed, beelining straight for the inner city slums. He figured, despite the few seconds he lost dealing with the flag, his oppenant was busy making the third turn.

He wasn't behind. He was certain of it.

His attention was on the chain welder rather then the man rushing him with a broken vibroblade. As he figured the chain welder was going to be the greater threat first and the blader holder second. The bomb technician ducked and side-stepped to the side, avoiding the sailing chain, while pulling out what he had hidden behind him. "BOOM TIME!!" he shouted and dropped the small explosive at the feet of the blade-holder.

Jeb turned and ran as quickly as he could before his little package went off and took him out too.

    T'Ruga
    Black Moon V, Secret Location

T'Ruga didnt have to wait long for a response. "Follow me," the operative allowed, as he led the way away from the landing pad and into the main Black Moon complex. The path he chose took them down a long, narrow corridor, lined with a few security cameras that were visible to the eye and many more that were not. T'Ruga noticed that there were tiny holes in the walls, too, though she could only begin to guess whether they were for gas, poison darts or something else entirely. Ruga didnt want to think of it. But it was a nice design.

She followed the operative for almost five full minutes without exchanging a word, before they came to a pause and she was directed into a waiting room. T'Ruga entered alone, and found that a Bothan female awaited her wordlessly. Seated upon a high-backed chair, at the head of a long rectangular table, the Bothan gestured for T'Ruga to be seated opposite her, at the table's end. T'Ruga moved towards the area, but opted to stand at the other end of the table. She gave a respectful nod towards the Bothan.

Duruoki Genovan spoke directly. "What's your specialty?" The Bothan asked, dispensing with introductions. Not that they were really necessary. Both studied the other for a few moments, before Duruoki spoke again. "I am led to believe we share a common interest, and I am known only for my work."

T'Ruga nodded, a grin from under her helmet. "As am I." T'Ruga said slowly. T'Ruga then gave the Bothan a complex forumula, identifying a chemical that anyone who knew their business would instantlly know. T'Ruga paused for a moment, before she continued.

"I have an intersting question, concerning a certain compound. I was lead to believe, that you would be the one to talk to."

T'Ruga moved over, leaning against the table, as she waited for a response.

"I'd offer to shake hands but... it's down there on the floor."

At any other time, 'Durge' would have found Javert's comment as humorous as it was meant to be. At this moment in particular, Kuno was too far gone into 'aggressive' mode to be moved by witty comentary. The only thing he knew about Javert at the moment, boiled down to two things. The man was obviously a bounty hunter and he had brazenly shot him from behind. This did nothing to endear the now handless bounty hunter, nor did it evoke images of bonding over a tankard of Corellian ale at some remote, yet popular tavern or cantina.

Truth be told, Javert the bounty hunter had made a pretty bad first impression. The only thing he had going for him, was the obvious fact that his pain threshold was probably the only impressive thing about him at the moment.

Still, 'Durge' did not remove the lethal vibro katana from it's position at the bounty hunter's neck. Kuno was simply that much of a hardcase when annoyed. No amount of comedy or smile could 'soften' him. Mercy and compassion were too often exploitable weaknesses, and he was certainly not to be counted amongst those who were striken with the disease known as mercy or compassion.

    Not anymore.

For a brief moment, all that could be heard in the charnel hallway was the soft humming vibration of Kuno's Vibro katana. It was almost as if the weapon was humming a death-lullaby to itself.

Javert seemed not to notice it, or he simply chose to 'ignore' it as he continued with his glib commentary now that he turned his attention towards the Huntress.

"Well, My lady. If you don't mind, there are certain people who would pay me alot of money to see Proskillk."

Kuno remained silent, as he usually did, but that did not keep him from wondering how Javert planned to capture Proskillk in his current condition. Missing his wepon hand put him at an obvious disadvantage. Plus, one did not have to guess that the Trandoshan would not go along with him quietly. To capture Proskillk now would be no easy task, not in the least, but to succeed...now THAT would be an impressive and worthy feat.

TO THE PATIENT ONES: I hope this was worth the wait; you know how I hate to disappoint.

She liked the stranger already. That was a very rare occurance in and of itself. Duruoki Genovan graced the specialist with a feral smile, an expression of genuine interest, hinting a degree of excitement, at the prospect of a possible challenge. She listened as the stranger spoke of a certain compound, and leaned forward in her tall-backed chair.

"I have an interesting question, concerning a certain compound. I was led to believe that you would be the one to talk to." T'Ruga moved closer, leaning against the table as she waited for a response.

What she received was a definitive sign of expertise. Duruoki knew enough about poisons, natural and synthetic, to recognise those that were more difficult to neutralise than others. "There are many compunds, complex and simple," she admitted. "This seems simple in its structure, though of a remote or rare origin. I would expect some outside influence, as this is likely not entirely natural." That was true for most poisons, for few of them occurred naturally that were not well-documented or widely known by those who held some authority in the field.

"Where did you discover this?" The Bothan female finally asked. She was far more interested in who designed the compound, who discovered and manipulated it, though she kept such thoughts to herself.

Whether subsonsciously or otherwise, Proskillk realised that his hesitation may have saved him. Watching the bounty hunter face-off with the two 'visitors' was proof enough that these two were in an upper league. The female and her guardian could defend themselves, as evidenced not only by their entrance into the Inn's upper levels, but their most recent display, too.

It was easy enough to know that while the visitors held no apparent desire to capture the Trandoshan, the same could not be said of Javert Sanlouran. Such knowledge would serve Proskillk well. He had no need of conscious thought, he simply used the present scenario to his advantage. That the bounty hunter had already managed to upset the dangerous pair was simply a bonus.

"He a friend of yours?" the female asked. "He's not very nice, is he?" She said, as she slowly stood up, acting as if she was favoring a leg.

Proskillk's only reply was a toothy grin, fully supportive of the female's assessment. Lowering his blaster, the Trandoshan stepped forward. He took note of the Huntress' seemingly weak leg and Kuno's position relative to the bounty hunter. Finally, he settled his gaze upon his hunter, and raised his blaster, pointing its business-end directly at Javert's head. "I'll do us all a favour and end the pathetic little man's life right here and now."

He was prepared to fire with no more than a split-second trigger. All it took was a sign of consent from the 'visitors', or evidence of serious resistence from the hunter, who was now suffering an unfortunate role reversal.

Sitting as silently and patiently as he knew how, the agent waited for the liner's final landing. Time drifted ever so slowly, as his mind whirled with the plans and duties he was soon to carry out. There was so much to do, and so little time in which to accomplish everything. And yet it was critical that he did, for he could not fail the Director, he could not fail Intelligence. His eyes almost glazed over, so deep was he in thought.

Final announcement of their landing brought him back to his senses, keenly aware of the present and his immediate surroundings. The agent stood slowly as the other passengers began to make their exit. He followed them, like an obedient solder, blending in with the crowd, knowing how best to avoid attrac

    Ric-Xana Velos

    Horizontal Town, Nar Shaddaa

"Another dead end," Velos said softly to himself, passing by some local street merchants on the Smugglers moon. It had been at least a month or two since he had started his search, but he would not give up so easily. He'd need to try and find any trace of his Mandalorian bretheren, and ask around.

He walked into the nearest cantina, and sat at a table near the back, running his eyes over a datapad that he had been logging entries in since he began his journey.

"~Entry 23: Again, there's nothing. I can't help but think that my brothers are out there, and I won't give up. My quest will not be in vain.

Perhaps there could be some information from the hutts or the Bounty Hunter's guild. It's risky dealing with hutts, the greediest slugs in the universe the closer you get to their conquered homeworld. Disgusting.

Then again, one could be surprised by what the locals know. Perhaps I can ask around in the cantinas here...~"

With that, Ric-Xana stood and walked to the bar, leaning slightly on one elbow. He set his helmet on the bar as he turned to the bartender. "Hey, I've got some questions to ask you. Important questions." He said calmly, looking around through the corners of his eyes as to watch for anyone suspicious... or perhaps Mandalorian.

The tables had quickly seemed to turn on Javertbut that wasn't to say that he didn't have a few more dirty tricks up his sleeve. As Proskillk stepped toward Javert and became the center of attention, he used the distraction to slide a capsule hidden between his cheek and upper gum with his tongue between his front teeth. He bit down hard and spit the corrosive contents of the suicide pill in Proskillk's face and allowed himself to fall backwards down the stairs simultaniously to try and avoid 'Durge's' vibro blade.

    Tooka the Hutt

    Broiler Zone, Nar Shaddaa

"Yhoo Halvve thee spice?" The laien asked, as it straightened, its hands held together, palms rubbing against one another with eager anticipation.

The Jolly Tooka gave a loud booming laugh at the question and his guard started to give a quick laugh.
The brown Hutt's luagh faded away as he focused back on the now.

"Of course, of course I have the Spice." He said in his native language of Huttest. He knew basic, but he thought that Huttese was a superior language, just like the Hutts are always the superior race.

Tooka pointed his arm at the metallic case that the human had held near him. "It is all in here. From Ryll to Lesai, it is in this case." he said warmly with a Hutt smile on his Hutt face.

Now Tooka had done some small dealings and he knew that sometimes the customer could get greedy, he did not know if this was a setup or not, but this was the time to find out. His right hand rose into the air and moved in a forward motion and his two mercanaries suddenly moved forward now standing on the side of Tooka. The mercs got their weapons ready and the smile on Tooka's face disappered. He held out his right hand with the palm spreaded waiting to be filled with credits.

"Do you have the credits?" he said grimly awating the aliens next move.
