So, I'm growing a beard. . .

So how old are you Mastadge? im 15 and ive barley got anything exept a tiny bit on my upper lip that looks bad (bad teenage moustaches never look good) I suspect ill get some more growing in a few years, theres already some people in my class that are growing a beard and porbly could grow a full one if they didnt shave. I think when i can i will , not in school though. I hate people with big messy looking ones, everyone i see with one the word criminal pops into my mind. Im gonna try a george lucas beard one day to.

I don't really, but I guess it depends on the person.

And if you want a beard, then try it. I assume after a few weeks it'll get to that length you want and then you can judge it better.

Standard wisdom is that if you don't have a girlfriend and want one, don't grow a beard. But at this point, I figured it couldn't possibly make my chances any less than they are, so what the hell, if I want to see how a beard looks on me, I'll grow one.

 

I don't like beards. Five o'clock shadow is teh secksey, but goatees, beards, moustaches, etc....no, thank you. Clean-shaven is the way to go. Also, don't you have to clean a beard pretty regularly? I've heard that food gets caught in it. That's a definite turn-off, in case any guys were wondering.

 

Sadly, I'm heading the opposite direction.

I've got an interview tommorrow morning, so it's goodbye to the facial furniture.

 

I could never grow a beard. I'd always look at myself and go, "That's me, wearing a beard." I can't think of a motivation behind growing a beard or a moustache.

Another female here. I concur with what Juile said above. Depends on the man, how the beard looks on him. But I like them.

As long as it doesn't look like three hairs and a smear of chocolate OR hanging down on their chest, I'm cool with it.

When I'm shampooing my hair, I now just bring my hands down and shampoo my face, too. No problem. As to food getting caught in it -- well, I put my food into my mouth, not onto my chin, so that hasn't been a problem for me. Maybe food would get in it if I licked my plate or something. . .

I could never grow a beard.

I used to think I could never grow one. I didn't see the point. And I'm still fairly sure I'm going to be getting rid of this one soon. My main motivation for growing it is that my face is fairly round. I thought that as I got older it would sharpen some, but despite aging and weight loss, my face is still quite round, and I thought a beard would lend it some definition.

 

I love a guy with a facial hair. I love the feel of the rough facial hair on my face also . Kam loves the fact he does not have to worry about shaving.


I say grow a bread and not worry about the rest of the world do what makes you feel good!

I've got fairly soft facial hair. That's probably why it never itches.

 

I usually do that in the Winter. I had to get rid of the facial hair for a few months, recently. It came to the point where shaving monthly was the norm and even my mom stopped telling me to shave. I'll be a hairy bastard again this winter.

 

I want a goat, however, I've got an interview tomorrow so buh-bye face fungus.

I had a goatee almost straight through since college (10 year reunion was this year). I grew a full beard last year while recovering from my near death hospitalization. I keep it pretty trimmed up and love it...though it has led to alot more people saying I look like George Lucas.

 

I stopped shaving while at camp, mainly because I never got around to it, ran out of shaving cream and things like that. Now I'm returning to my military university. With my longer hair, I think that I'm going to get shot as one of those Liberal Hippies.

 

thats one of my goals in life, to have a beard... but as it is now its really thin and short, not really a beard

 

I a neatly trimmed beard or goatee.
