Baby

Through the mist, Luke could see Deena's face, a mirror of his own. Through one of her groans, he felt her hands gripping his. He considered again to use Force to ease her pain, but they had decided against it for the fear of danger for the mother.

He was afraid of what it meant when he lost the baby's presence in the force a moment ago.

"Argh!" Deena cried, and fell silent. Luke panicked before hearing a different pitch of screaming.

"It's a girl."

"Lintai Shan."

"Captain Skywalker,"Deena caressed Luke's ear, "When do you want to do it again?"

Child

"Remember, a Jedi can feel the Force flowing through her."

Easy for him to say, being the founder of the new Jedi Order and all.

Lintai raised the wooden stick again. Across from her, Zixor did the same.

The Faleen was going to pay, and on her face too! He made her look like a fool in front of her mother.

Father doesn't count because he thinks me a fool anyway.

Zixor charged at her, just like last time.

The problem was, Lintai still had no idea how to counter that move.

Unless she did something clever.

"Luke! Help her!"

Teenager

"I want to go with him!" Lintai said.

"No, it's too dangerous." Her mother said. "Besides, I need your help taking care of Obi-Wan."

"Babysitting is a job for a droid! Let Nana do it." Lintai said, "There's no danger on a diplomacy mission!"

"And no adventures either. I may not have the Force like your father, but I always know what my daughter is planning."

Mother always know what to say at the wrong time, stang! "We should really talk about this group you are part--"

Artoo emitted a string of warbles and trills. "What is it Artoo?"

Adult

Lintai would be 25 today.

Has it been that long? I am the only one who still holds any hope of her returning. The only ones who actually hope she would return.

The rest of the Jedi, they think of her as some – but can't they see that there was still hope?

And Luke.

One day she caught Luke talking to Kyle about that 'thing'. She didn't know what 'thing' Luke was talking about until Kyle left a day later for the Killiks territory.

The door chimed.

"Grand Aunt Deena!" Sardris, Her cousin's teenage daughter, came through the door.

Elderly

"This is a waste of time!" Alkorev told his co-pilot, Brega.

Brega said, "Why didn't you complain last time?

"The Gorazev Foundation wasn't defunct then." Alkorev said, "Even if we find her, the bones will be what? Two hundred seventy something?"

"Hey, the bounty said specimens Skywalker gene, it doesn't say what age."

"All I'm saying is we should go collect some other real bounty."

"This one is real enough." Brega said, "If this don't work, we'll go and try our luck at the Antilles bounty on Ord Mantell."

The two pirates held their breath as the carbonite thawed.

"Hiss."

 

Those were very nice. I enjoyed the progression of Lintai's life.

Though I am most curious what happened to her.

Okay, that was mean, following Lintai, then going to these pirates.

I want to know what happened to her too!

As for what happened, I thought I had her life planned out. But I now I'm thinking may want to change it later.
Looking forward for the next week's prompt so I can find out along with my readers.
