My gosh, I forgot how his pumpkin bombs reminded me of the people being vaporized by the nuclear bomb in The Day After.

No need to give Grace any credit- we could see this in the trailer. Plus, logically, it would make no sense for them to use all of the villains from all of the other films except one who has been replaced by a random variant. Not to mention we see at least 2 other villains also upgrade/revise their look.

"To make a gayer superhero movie than one with actual gay superheroes in it!"

Also I love the photoshop job of Michelle Williams Oscar clip for Best Supporting Actress in Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

For the non-Americans in this thread, in the movie Into The Spider-verse, is Miles Morales named Kilometer Morales? I'll see myself out.

Rounding third in my Spider-Verse watching. First up was Avengers: Infinity War. No skipping ahead, whole thing. If anything it seems particularly relevant to No Way Home for the Spider-Man and Doctor Strange stuff. One of my favourite MCU Spider-Man lines is in this one: "But you said save the wizard!!" Pete's introduction in the movie is perfect with hairs raising on his arms/Spider-Sense/Peter Tingle (Russo Bros, two for two with Peter Parker intro scenes). He gets some of the movie's best lines ("I'm sorry I can't remember anyone's names!") and his brief scuffle with Thanos is gold

Thanos grabs Spidey and smacks him down.
    "INSECT!"

Leading up to the Snap scene and Peter has the most heartbreaking dusting out of the entire movie which is really saying something.

Next flick was Venom: Let There Be Carnage which I saw in theatres about 2 months ago. Still a lot of fun, definitely better than the first movie. Venom is actually a lot funnier in this one and he had some good bits in the first flick but he's totally off the hook in this one.

"Oh I'm sorry I broke your nose, let me fix it SO I CAN BREAK IT AGAIN!" Also it's a Spider-Man movie with a legit thematic thing, toxic relationships. In some cases of host vs. symbiote, quite literally.

Harrelson I actually quite like as Cletus, he's channeling his serial killer performance creep vibe which I appreciate. It it kind of a waste to just bite his head off at the end...? Maybe...? But it fits the anarchist vibe of the film and "%$% This Guy!" *chop* is an excellent exit.

Technically this was a bit early in the rewatch slot due to the mid-credits stinger taking place after Far From Home but, hey, alternate universes and timelines maybe not exactly in synch, blah blah blah, I can roll with it.

(Personal log: Supplemental. I watched Venom 2 with my cousins before we went to the CFL Grey Cup as a pregame watch and the results of the Grey Cup were not pretty. So feeling saddened and low went home and Spider-Man 2 was on cable with limited commercial interruptions! Now I had already watched it a few weeks earlier but it had basically just started with Ock testing out his arms and got to see about 70% of it anyway and made a pizza.

Spider-Man 2, never a bad choice for solace!)

Then afterwards I buzzed through Avengers: Endgame. Quick watch of two Hawkeye-centric scenes (opening, Ronin scene/testing out the time travel for Hawkeye D+ reference) and then the rest of the flick from right before Nat and Clint on Vormir onwards. Spider-Man, once again the Russos going 3 for 3, has another amazing introduction in the Portal scene (he's the last one to pop out of the portal in the shot of them arriving from Titan), a nice callback to Cap and Spidey with "Hey, Queens! Heads up!" and he hitches a ride on Mjolnir. Finally activating "Instant Kill!" (Which I know Spider-Man writer Dan Slott had issues with Spider-Man killing but I just view as the Space Dogs are mindless not-alive things) which is great anyway. And he has two moments with Tony that are both amazing, his rushed explanation as to "when I got all dusty and Doctor Strange started doing the magic hands thingie... this is nice." and "Mr. Stark, we won." which speaks so many volumes. And just his reunion at the now busy school with Ned is a nice coda (Far From Home later reveals that almost all the main Midtown High Spider-Man characters got snapped which, okay, I can deal). So he's not in Endgame that much but anytime Spidey shows up is always great.

Oh yah and have also been watching random episodes of the 90s Spider-Man cartoon throughout. watched Hobgoblin part 1 & 2 for Mark Hamill hollering which did not disappoint. Great bit Kingpin opens the Fisk Institute of Criminology, that doesn't seem suspicious. I have a box set of the Spider-Man 67 cartoon (can't find it streaming anywhere) so I think I'll dip into the Amazing Fantasy 15 adaptation episode. Should check out a Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends episode or two too. Yo in Across the Spider-Verse, two movies, they better land in the Spider-Man 90s cartoon, just sayin.

Going to have to tread lightly in the Internets the next few days, premiere is tomorrow, I fully expect the internet go awash with spoilers. No make with the spoilers! Bad! (well okay spoiler tag away folks but the wilds of the uncivilized internet I mean)

Watching the first 5 Spider-Man movies leads me to the inescapable conclusion there were a few too many villains who could "hear voices" and one who was a little too good at growing a new tail.

Hmmm… Jared Leto rocking Morbius colored attire at the Spider-Man No Way Home Premiere. =P~ Jamie Foxx also looks great. And the actress who plays America Chavez is there too.

Don't forget Venom and Carnage who literally can talk to the voices in their heads. There's Kingpin in Spider-Verse who doesn't hear voices in his head but is haunted by ones and goes diving into the multiverse to find them.

Spider-Man baddies being driven by inner demons, in some case very real ones, is a thing.

Freakin if they ever introduced Mister Negative there's another one.
