That is very true and he uses the Star Forge to gain more power unlike Revan who didn't need the star forges power to put him in his place

Yes but the point is he needed them he wasn't strong enough to do it with out them plus he had to take the mantle though trickery and didn't even manage to kill his master.

Malak was not a powerful Sith Lord. He was a brute, an example of what would have happened had Maul been put in charge of the Sith kingdom. Darth Bandon was just as pathetic, if not moreso, I find. Blunt tools.

Tyranus and Vader were at least eloquent tools of the Sith.

But we're talking about the greats of the Sith - the artists, the manipulators, the Masters of everyone and all...Lumiya is right there with them, I argue.

I have to agree she would have to be with the top as being a master manipulator and assassian. Malak was just brute force that was to weak to even manage to kill his master. Granted other sith feared him but I think it was only because they didn't know Revan was really alive. Let's face it Malak was a pure Sith Lord who showed his faults when he lost his jaw and later when Revan Defeated him yet again.

Malak was the Dark Lord that never should have been, in my opinion. He was a Sith in the brutish sense, and was charged with Revan's greatest murders. I think it was Malak who ordered the destruction of Telos. After Revan was gone, we saw just how idiotic he really was.

For all we know, though, Bandon was the best choice he had. It seems Revan, like Kaan and Krayt, bred an army of mostly useless Sith, and sent them off into the Galaxy, keeping a small group of elites close by, or on Korriban.

That being said, if he was Malak's best choice, I would have simply not chosen him. However, Bandon was the only guy to have contact with Revan, however limited. Maybe Malak though that would give him an edge?

Of course, Bastila was a more useful Sith apprentice.
