    Announcement!

This will be my last announcement as Senator of this thread. Your new Senator is...

    Barriss_Coffee!

From now on, she will be the Senator representing this thread in the EUS. No more will you suffer under the tyranny and authoritarianism that I brought. Not to mention she'll probably be doing a better job than I did!

    Probably. :p

So... we have three months until Shadows of Mindor! :D

Not long to go, at last!

You haven't read ANY SW books, TEE? None at all? Well, I would highly recommend this one I've heard of, called "Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor," which despite it's cheezy old-school title, will no doubt be one of the best of the bunch. I guarantee it.... (at least after I read it.)

Anyway, as your new Senator, I shall use up all of the money in our treasury to hire a score of mathematicians to calculate out exactly how many days are left until the new novel. And my mathematicians tell me the magic number is... 90! Yes, 90 exactly. I shall henceforth put this fateful number on my signature to remind everyone when the day arrives.

(And I daresay it will probably freak out Mr. Stover if he ever sees it. Then again, I doubt even he knows the exact number of days until its release)

Ahhhh that makes sense. I was kinda shocked at first, since you're in the EUC and all.

Of course, one can never tell on this site... I swear there are folks in the JCC who have never seen a SW movie...

Ah, in the JCC, there are a fair amount of people who hate SW, it seems, but at least they love the community.

    89 Days to Go!

And try not to scare Stover. We need him to write more SW books!

    Alright folks, Lumiya/Shadowspawn updates:

Lumiya -- Not much right now. But as more comes out concerning FOTJ, I'm sure we'll hear more about her dastardly deeds.

Shadowspawn -- I found this, a statement made a while back from the cover artist of LSatSoM, posted in the Lit section recently:

I dunno about you all, but that sounds an awful lot like Ninja-Pirate talk to me.

Luke Skywalker and the Shadowy Revolutionary War Napoleon of the Middle Ages Who Traveled to Japan as a Pirate and Took Up the Sword of the Techno-Samurai of Mindor?

I'd still buy it with that title. :p

I'm concerned that I won't get hold of this until January... the stores never seem to keep up with releases around Christmas. I'd prefer to arrive at my store on Boxing Day and simply buy it. But I'm not likely to. :(

I'm waiting for Millennium Falcon to arrive, and that might have some Lumiya tidbits within. One can hope. I fully expect Abel will release something about Shadowspawn around the time the novel comes out, too.

I compromised and said I wouldn't buy Street of Shadows, Order 66, Clone Wars or Clone Wars: Wild Space if she let me buy Millennium Falcon and Shadows of Mindor, this year. :D

But no, it's not that this time - SoM is out on Boxing Day, I think, and the shops never manage to keep working properly over the Christmas break. So I'll have to wait, and the whole point of this FC will be missed by me. :(

It's like your standing directly in between both Shadowspawn's and Luke's charges.

Unless there is proof that Lord Shadowspawn is related by blood to my beloved Shira, I hope you realize that you are all traitors.

I call for a Multi Media Fan Activities to honor Notre Dame de Terophon, and the destruction of the pretender Lord Shadowspawn.

Pretender? I hope Shadowspawn is retconned into one of Lumiya's apprentices, because that'd be a glorious revelation.

Equally, I've concluded that this 'faceless threat' in FotJ is what Lumiya was referring to in Tempest when she was sure Jacen would continue down his path even without her guidance... especially considering the One Sith themselves refuted that they would fill that role...

I'd love LotF to simply be the first step in her plan, continued by this faceless monster in FotJ...

Shadowspawn and Lumiya have to have some sort of connection... they're both dealing and trading with Blackhole stormtroopers. Unless Blackhole's some other dude (not Shadowspawn) who owns some business cranking out stormies -- "Blackhole's Stormtroopers - Extra Discount for Anyone Planning to Overthrow the New Republic! (This Week.)"

I also still suspect Blackhole/Shadowspawn (if they are one and the same) has something to do with the One Sith, especially since he was still alive to screw up Irek Ismaren/Lord Nyax after LSATSOM.

As for the faceless monster, that's obviously Waru-*coughcoughcough* er, it's probably something else, I agree. Whatever Lumiya was going on about to Jacen. I hope. Because if LOTF was an elaborate set-up for something huge in FotJ, that would redeem it in my eyes. I'm still angry at the series for stuffing so many potentially interesting plots into the last few chapters of Invincible.

In other news, the Lit section has a new LSATSOM stickied-thread, for those who haven't noticed. Expect lots of talking in circles for the next few weeks, just like in the old thread. Since Mr. Stover holds on tight to his spoilers and doesn't say much more than, "I'm writing the book. It's badass." Also expect around a week before the book is scheduled for release the page count of the thread to jump by 20, signaling some lucky fellow got their grubby undeserving hands on it before I did--*COUGH* -- got it before anyone else.

    See? I'm a Prophet! [face_whistling]

Shadowspawn = Blackhole = Atha Prime = White Eyes?

Hell, it's in my canon even if it doesn't happen. :p

We know Blackhole survives beyond Mindor's date, I believe, anyway, so that would be a helpful note.

    30 DAYS TO GO!!!!

    *dances*

According to that new Encyclopedia everyone's talking about in Lit: Blackhole=Cronal=Shadowspawn

No mention of Atha Prime in the whole thing, which doesn't mean anything at this point I guess.

But that then makes me suspect Shadowspawn (Blackhole? Cronal?) survives the novel.

And if so, his chances of being White Eyes have just gone up.
    :D
