JUST THE FACTS: Everything that is known about Indiana Jones IV

Hello, fellow LFPers! :) This thread is based on the template created by Grilled-Sarlacc for SW Ep3 in the 3SA forum.

This is an accurate timeline of all known facts as of 10 January, 2003. All of this information includes the source, the date, and...just the facts! Enjoy!

This thread obviously contains spoilers about Indiana Jones IV, so read no further if you wish to remain unspoiled for this movie. When news is found on several sites, or revealed at different times, the repeated info is not posted.

If you hear of anything definite (no unsourced rumours, please -> you can put rumours in this thread), post below and I'll edit it in.

Thanks. Added it in. The story being written is old news, but a possible 2003 beginning to shooting is new. :)

Well, I just looked at the Internet Movie Database - there were links to Indy 4 information a couple of months ago, but now I can't find a thing. No links, no references, zip. The film hasn't been cancelled, has it?

    The latest...

Harrison Ford told SCI FI Wire that Frank Darabont has completed his script for a proposed fourth Indiana Jones movie. "Steven [Spielberg]'s quite happy with it," Ford said in an interview. "I'm expecting to see it in a couple of weeks."

Ford added that he worked closely with director Spielberg, Darabont and executive producer George Lucas on the story. "The way the process works is that George and Frank work together, then Steven gets the script, then I get the script, and we all work together. We all met together and talked about it before they started writing."

Their was a chat at MSN with Harrison Ford

    Theirs a quote that says:

IndianaMaier1 in Onstage1 asks: Mr. Ford, do you have any further projects you can talk about?
Harrison_Ford_Live says: We're getting close to being able to annouce a drama that we'll be doing later this year, but I can't talk about it yet. The next project after that is the next "Indiana Jones" movie that will be out in 2004.
DishDiva says: Are you excited "Indiana Jones 4."

I think six months for complete production is a little risky for a film like Indy Jones.
Yeah, Speilberg did it with Munich but Munich is not nearly as demanding from a production viewpoint as Indy 4 will be.
Even Speilberg needed nearly a year for "War Of the Worlds".
I would bet if it does start production in 2007, don't expect it in theaters until 2008.

1/28/2006 from ContactMusic.com (see my personal comments below...)

HARRISON FORD has given movie moguls STEVEN SPIELBERG and GEORGE LUCAS a two-year time frame to make the fourth INDIANA JONES film.

The ageing action man is confident the next instalment of the heroic adventurer's exploits will make it to the big screen eventually, but he's keen to hurry the process along.

The 63-year-old says, "It's looking very good to do another one. I haven't felt this positive about it happening in a long time... but if it doesn't happen in the next two years we should all forget it."

The film is tentatively scheduled to begin production next year (07).

    In addition:

I also saw Harrison interviewed on my local TV station this week and he said he felt good about Indy IV. He said that they had a Script Concept in place and things were moving forward, which seems to confirm the above.

(I know the above site is not always the most reliable.)
