Alternatively RJ had someone describe the main villain as a snake, and then had someone else describe someone who fancies himself above good and evil a snake. Perhaps he's illustrating that DJ ia just as bad as Kylo despite his pretence of moral relativism.

 

Where's Samuel L Jackson when you need him, "Say snake one more time. I dare you."

 

I think RJ should have also named Kylo Ren's master Supreme Commander Snake.
If nothing else, to subvert expectations and use the same word multiple times.

 

There's a saying in the GFFA. "Snoke is a snake. Make no mistake. He will make you break. He will make you ache. He will make you listen to Drake."

The Sequels where a big Disappointment to me, and if those Movies where the only Star Wars I have ever seen I would most likely never became a fan.
The Spin Offs on the other hand are great and Rogue One is one of my favorite Movies ever.
But non then less I will give Episode 9 a fair chance.

 

Thanks, I hate it, as they say. Luke “at last plays his part in history”? Leia rallies and flies with the Force because of her son? Why is it that every new revelation about the ST makes it worse? But it’s worth reading.

 

To be fair, it was sometimes hard to tell what was exactly on the script and what was the hosts’ interjections. They are very clearly Kylo stans and they seem to want to make it all about Kylo. I think the script only said that Leia was about to give up until she decided she wasn't done with life yet, not that she flew with the Force because of Kylo.

Anyway, the only thing I got from this was maybe one line that should have been better shown in the movie (Rey pondering on whether or not to tell Luke about Kylo) and the impression that this is a pretty terrible podcast I don’t want to listen again.

 

The most ridiculous line in SW history. Sorry it has to be. It shows that RJ really did not pay attention to the OT. I don't care if he has "watched" them. It also confirms what he thinks of Luke until He RJ decides what he "thinks" will make Luke a "hero". Who was editing this script?

 

What line? “Luke at last plays his part in history?” I don’t remember that in any Star Wars film.

 

She is referring to what was said in the podcast discussed in the previous few posts I think. I could be wrong.

 

OK. Though I don’t think it competes with George believing that Jar Jar was going to be the funniest character ever to grace a Star Wars film.

 

I'm glad this Luke Skywalker fellah finally got to play his part, at last, in the history of the Ben Solo saga.

 

So, the egregiousness of the word "snake" being used twice in TLJ, and something someone said in a podcast being used against the actual script. Got it.

 

Yes, that is my humble opinion and I stand by it.

FYI, you used the word “the” three times in that sentence, and the words “being” and “in” twice...

I have a lot to say about this, but I’ll just summarize my feelings as “disappointed.”

 

Yeah I'm SO glad that all of the hero's are apparently here to service the story of Ben Solo, the patricidal mass-murdering fascist (rolls eyes).

What’s the word on the accuracy of that podcast? Anything? Because if it’s even half accurate, it seems to eliminate outright some of the credible defenses of this Reylo dumpster fire.

 

I really think the scene would have been so much better (and not generated much controversy at all) if Luke simply dropped the saber at his feet. It’s the over the shoulder toss, and the odd defiance about it, that comes across as a bad parody.

 

Yeah, I don't agree with the first three of those. But I do think that Kylo is scared of Luke on Crait.

 

Yeah, Ben is genuine....sure okay. Rey, you're a nobody, but not to me. Come with me to the dark side and rule the galaxy, or you can go back to being just a nobody. That's full on conscious manipulation. And if Ben doesn't realize he's doing it, than it's almost worse.

EDIT: And I don't mind Ben manipulating Rey. He should be. He's an evil, genocidal, patricidal psychopath. I just wish the director, the 'script', the fans would admit that it's scummy manipulative behavior instead of being 'genuine'.
