OK, for anyone with Hyperspace, watch the commercial for the DVD on the OS. Go through the part where they show the deleted scene where Anakin and Obi-Wan escape Grievous through the floor and fall into the fuel tank thing. When they're falling, the beginning is clearly an animatic! They don't have faces! And then once they land in the water, it looks horribly composited, they look completely seperate from the water and their surroundings. This better not be the finished one we'll get on the DVD! We've always gotten finished and good CGI on the deleted scenes.

Have you read any of the posts in this thread? All the deleted scenes on the DVD are completed with the exception of the Shaak Ti/Fuel Chamber scene.

Why isn't the Nos monster deleted scene on the DVD? :(

ROTS is the only Star Wars movie without a monster. That's so lame.

    I loved the deleted scenes.

The Shaak Ti death was quite shocking. kenobi and Anakins singles to each other were hilarious. The relleion scenes were interesting. Palpatine was at his very best. Yoda on dagobah was...well...Yoda on dagobah.

Much better than TPM/AOTC deleted scenes.

Yes, that's one biggest disappointment about ROTS (and its DVD) for me. [face_frustrated]

I heard it was going to eat a probe droid. That would have been cool. I was disapointed the Nos wasn't included too.

Besides it looked quite interesting and different (as for SW):

The 'Boga' is a monster IMO...

    what is that?

If you mean the pic above, that's animatic version of Nos Monster (aka grotto creature) on Utapau.

The 'Boga' is a monster IMO...

Well, I'd say Boga is more a mean of transport - like Tauntaun, Dewback or Eopie.

But each SW episode - except ROTS - has a separate scene where monster plays more independent role and where heroes have to confront some threatening creature (Dianoga, Space Slug, Rancor and Sarlacc, Aqua Monster and Colo Fish, Arena Beasts).

I guess Nos Monster - eating probe droid - would be sth of that kind
    (at least a bit threatening).

    ;)

Honestly, I'm dissapointed with the deleted scenes. If we were to get like 6 more I'd want:

    The Nos Monster
    The Dragon Pen
    Boga's Death Scene
    MagnaGuards round 2
    The alternate Mace/Anakin/Sidious duel
Obi-wan talks to Padme before leaving for Utapau

    If more then:

    Qui-gon
    More Order 66
    More Temple Purge
    More Kashyyyk (much more)
    Extended saber duels
    Aayla and Plo Koon's lines

One thing I wished would happen in ROTS that never did (I believe we were told it would) was that Obi-wan would kill Commandar Cody. I think if Cody and a bunch of clones went to look for Obi-wan after he fell, it would be cooler to see the Nos Monster attack them instead of some probe droids.

Also, I wish we'd seen more of Tion Meddon. His part seemed kinda useless. He wasn't even the one to give Boga to Obi-wan, and if he hadn't said where Grievous was, then Obi-wan probably would have noticed the Mini Federation Starship attached to the wall of the sinkhole. Had Tion helped to shelter Obi-wan from the clones or had given him Grievous' fighter, then his character would have seemed important.

I don't really believe that you prioritise the monsters over Qui-Gon's scene, but thats beside the point. I would like to see these deleted scenes on the DVD-

    1) QUIGON!!!! His scene with Yoda through the force was uberimportant
    2) The duel with Dukoo/Skywalker how it is in the book, even if Dooku just says "You promised me amnesty!"
    3) Some discussion between Anakin and Palpatine which wasn't in the film
    4) Something happen to Shaak Ti.
    5) More Order 66 - what happened to Barris Offee, Luminara Unduli etc
    6) The scene talking about the beginning of the rebellion.

If you have the DVD...why not take five minutes out and see for yourself. You have time to post on here right?

I'm sort of happy with the Deleted scenes....still...I would have liked to see the NOS monster....but it's a small concern...I'm just glad that soon I will have the entire saga at my fingertips to watch whenever I please!

I saw a commercial for the dvd and they are still showing the clip of Palpatine's shuttle being escorted to Mustafar, which never made it in the movie. Strange.

Yes! I absolutely agree! More of Tion would be great. It is a bit strange that his role was so much reduced, given that GL described him as one of his favourite characters.

In a screenplay Tion had one additional minor scene:

    106 (80) EXT. UTAPU - OBSERVATION DECK
On a high balcony: Tion Medon looks down on the landing platform. A few steps behind him stands one of General Grievous bodyguards. They watch the canopy lower.
TION MEDON: I told you, all he wanted was fuel.
    BODYGUARD: What was his name?
    TION MEDON: He didn't say.

They watch as the blue Jedi fighter takes off.

I know it is very small, but at least it slightly emphasizes that Tion is cooperating and - in a way - protecting Obi. I wish at least this scene had remained.
