Bio: Madelyn Linnett was once a Jedi Padawan to the late Master Zey. She was not a great student, but enjoyed her time as a Jedi until she was injured and lost her memory at Mimban. She was later to be adopted by Ka'rta, who would become her right hand, helping her lead Mandalore when the time came. Madelyn helped rally her people with Ka'rta and have them become an independent system from the New Republic, Empire and Separatists.

In the last 14 years Madelyn has grown up. She has trained in the force and in the ways of a warrior, doing her job as Mandalore the best she can while trying to keep ties with the Jedi open to a degree. Madelyn married Arthur Skirata seven years ago, further establishing ties with the Mandalorian people. She was not sure of the marriage at first, but came to love her new husband dearly. They have one daughter, Leia who is six and a five year old son Alfred. She is enjoying having a family, and has come to love her new home and all the people in her life.

Bio: Arthur Skirata grew up as the youngest son of three children. He was often caught reading instead of training, and his parents sent him to pursue more scholarly pursuits when he was fifteen on Naboo, where his parents has distant relatives. When he returned a few years later, he was quickly introduced to Madelyn Linnett, though both would not marry until they were 23. He has a quiet manner about him, and is often seen with at least one book in his hands or establishing new trade routes with the small council.

Though Arthur and Madelyn were curious though distant from each other at first, he can honestly say that they love each other very much, and have two beautiful children together. Arthur can be very protective, and admires his wife and how she brings people together.

She knows that she may end up ruling, if she earns it and Leia is afraid she will be a disappointment. One thing Leia does know, is that she had read enough about flying to want to be a pilot, though fears her parents will disagree due to her possible future.

Appearance: Short black hair with grey eyes, fair skin and facial features one could describe as pretty if they ever saw them, she usually wears her buy'ce (helmet), around 1.74 meters tall, though a slightly stockier build than most.

Personal equipment: Standard beskar'gam (Mandalorian armor) with a main color of dark red accented in gold, her family crest is on the right shoulder, three stars above a beskad (Mandalorian sword) with the family motto "Dar Solus" (No longer alone) written in the blade, has a white stripe that runs down the center of her chest. She has an assortment of weapons on her person, wrist mounted rocket launcher that can be fitted with different warheads, Jetpack with a concussion missile launcher in it, two Mandalorian style blaster pistols, one vibroblade in a sheath attached horizontally at the small of her back.

Bio: Ka'tra was born to two proud Mandalorian Warriors and bounty hunters, Kot and Ka’ra. they were declared dar'manda (Not Mandalorian) shortly after their verd'goten (Mandalorian right of passage). Cast out and abandoned, they found comfort with each other, forming their own nameless clan. When Ka’rta was born it was the happiest day in their life, their little clan had grown by one.

She was raised as any Mando’ad would be, taught how to fight, and how to hunt. Even after her verd’goten Ka’tra stayed with her parents. One day they let her go on a mission alone, that’s when she killed her first being. When she commed her parents to pick her up, there was no answer, lost and alone on a foreign planet She did her best to survive, running into two former Republic Special Forces operators, that had become mercenaries. After a fight that ended in a draw they offered to help her search for her parents. After about a week they found their ship, empty, blood all over the deck. The scanners picked up several different DNA signatures, including her parents’. There was so much that the two mercenaries, Owen and Jerrod, said that her parents were dead. While not completely satisfied with that explanation, Ka’rta knew she couldn’t devote her whole life to the search, she needed money.

For the next few years she worked with Owen and Jerrod as a small merc company, until she decided to go her own way. She still looks for her parents but, has found it takes second place to her work as a freelance merc.

She took what she thought would be a routine mission on Mimban just open a way for the smugglers to get weapons to the natives fighting against the empire. That mission snowballed on her until she was facing an old god of the Sith. It made an offer to her, one of fantastic wealth if she stepped aside and let it possess a young woman whose only crime was being in the wrong place at the wrong time. She was injured, tired and angry so she lashed out at the creature, letting off bolt after bolt until is was pushed back.

The young woman she'd saved suffered with amnesia and Ka'rta should have just let her go on her way and never think about her again. However she couldn't leave her, something in her heart was aching again, something she kept buried deep down.

Their adventures led them, against Ka'rta's very loud objections, to Mandalore, to the place that had cast her out. She was battered, hurt and angry looking at the ruins of the Capitol. She snapped let all of her anger out on the idealistic woman that had dragged her out here, to the place she would most surely die, where they both would die.

Somehow, someway, the survived, rallied the remaining Mandalorians and crushed the Seperatist Army, a short lived victory as the Empire came down to try and overtake and steal away the hard fought victory. That was ended at the point of a blaster.

Peace, well peace by Mandalorian standards reigned under the new Manda'lor the same woman Ka'rta saved in that temple. Now the Mercenary is her right hand, the one that keeps the peace they both fought for. She feels less alone now. In the battlefield she found someone, someone to share her life with, someone to come home to. They never expected to survive, never expected to be together after the stress and fear of combat subsided.

Yet they are still together, and are starting their own family. Something they never expected either.

The woman that once had nothing, but a blaster and credits, now has everything. And she will fight just as hard if not harder to keep it. The time has not dulled her, or made her soft. She has fought for everything and will continue to struggle to keep it.

Tor, their daughter is on the cusp of her own verd'goten, and it would be as a mandalorian recognized by the Manda'lor herself. Her daughter would not suffer the same fate as her.

Bio: Feyna was born in Crevasse City on Alderaan in 18 BTA, and is the adopted daughter of the late Bail and Breha Organa.

Feyna has no memory of her birth parents. According to the file at the orphanage, her mother was a teacher and her father worked in construction. Her mother contracted a terminal illness late in her pregnancy with Feyna, and died a few weeks after giving birth. Feyna’s father was killed in a work site accident less than a year later. With no other family, the child was taken into the local orphanage.

As luck would have it, Bail and Breha Organa were making one of their regular tours of Crevasse City just a few months later, and the royal couple stopped at the orphanage to visit with the children there. Feyna, normally a shy child, climbed into Bail’s lap and fell asleep. They brought her home to the palace in Aldera a month later.

With role models like her adoptive parents, Padme Amidala, and Mon Mothma, Feyna grew up knowing expectations were high. Nearly two decades into the Galactic Cold War, Feyna was being groomed to replace her father in the Galactic Senate, to allow Bail more time for his covert work with the growing Rebellion against Mas Amedda’s Empire.

During Feyna’s first session as acting Senator, Mas Amedda surprised the galaxy by proposing a treaty between the Empire and Republic, to be negotiated at a peace summit on Alderaan. One hundred Imperial Senators were slated to attend, balancing out the one hundred Republic representatives, and even though many suspected the summit to be a trap, Feyna accepted Amedda’s proposal, and the Republic committed to the talks.

Unbeknownst to the Republic, and most of the Empire, Amedda had been secretly overseeing the completion of the Death Star superweapon (as well as its Separatist counterpart, the Ultimate Weapon), and the proposed summit was a lure to draw the Republic leadership and any potential Imperial allies into one place, to eliminate them. Amedda destroyed Alderaan, but not before faking his own death and setting up Imperial Senator Aryan Graul to take the fall for the atrocity. Bail, Breha, Padme, Leia Skywalker, Mon Mothma, and billions more were killed instantly.

Feyna herself barely survived the annihilation of her homeworld, having been on board the Republic flagship Home One at the moment of the attack, and only escaped death due to the intervention of Graul’s son, Arek. The only other Republic Senator to survive was Garm Bel Iblis of Corellia, who never arrived at the summit, but he was later killed when the Empire attacked Chandrila, and Feyna, by default, became acting Chancellor of the Republic.

Alderaan’s destruction shattered the tense quiet of the Cold War, and plunged the galaxy into what became known as the Galactic Civil War, as the Empire, Rebellion, and Separatists fought against each other, and their respective leaders fought amongst themselves. Feyna clashed with Anakin Skywalker and Han Solo shortly before the Battle of Mandalore, and considering that both men subsequently disappeared, the argument remains one of her greater regrets.

Against tremendous odds, the Republic won, and Feyna was soon properly elected Chancellor of the New Republic by the re-convened Senate, but with Zorn still loose somewhere in the galaxy, and with no Jedi to stand against him, Feyna feared it would only be a matter of time before the outbreak of another galactic conflict.

In the mean time, she did what she could to ensure a lasting peace, as the New Republic continued to grow and flourish through the years, and the Jedi Order slowly rose out of the ashes. Feyna served two consecutive terms as Chancellor, but in 8 ATA, she declined the nomination to a third, and spent the next few years focusing on New Alderaan, in the Ash Worlds of the Outer Rim, where other survivors from her homeworld had begun to rebuild their lives.

Feyna makes an annual journey to the asteroid field that used to be Alderaan, now called the Graveyard, and though the loss is…less painful, now, she is prone to occasional bouts of depression.

In 12 ATA, after being encouraged by her friends and allies in the Senate to run again, she was re-elected Chancellor, and in 13 ATA, the Senate moved back to Coruscant, which, while still under reconstruction after the Galactic Civil War, is once again fit for habitation.

She has been in a long-term relationship with Prince Isolder of Hapes. He became something of a fixture in her life in the early days of the New Republic, and at first Feyna found his constant presence a bit of an annoyance, but he grew on her over time. She managed to hold him off for much of her Chancellorship, claiming to be too busy for a relationship, and hoping to spare them both from gossip and any political pressure that would arise from such a relationship, but finally gave in not long after leaving office, and in 9 ATA, their courtship became public knowledge. Feyna loves Isolder, but the notorious hostilities within the Hapan nobility—which can literally extend to the point of killing each other—have led to a lot of hestitation on Feyna’s part, and the two remain unmarried.

The Force: An Echo

Bio: Born to a wealthy brandy making family in Chasin City, the largest city of Commenor, Pascale grew up admiring the galaxy’s most famous archaeologists and aspired to be one of the greatest in the galaxy himself and so he enrolled in the University of Commenor where he began his studies.

During a work experience archeological dig, Pascale discovered he had a taste for capturing artefacts but also decided he wanted to make some money for himself. So he decided to sell these priceless artifacts off, damaging the reputation of one of the archaeologists on the dig. Thus began his descent into the underworld of smuggling as he made some contacts with black market dealers. Returning to the University, he plagiarized an essay from one of his fellow students, but unable to prove he did steal it, he was awarded the Archeological Prize.

His family name and wealth got him a job at a prestigious museum where he became assistant curator. However his job didn't last long as he became a suspect in the funding of a grave robbing expedition which caused the deaths of several of his fellow employees and a Coruscanti archaeologist. With his dreams in tatters and fired, Pascale decided to become a mercenary and smuggler for hire for whomever could afford him.

His skills in acquiring artefacts and treasures for several criminal gangs and underlords made him a household name in smuggling and mercenary work and made him several enemies and rivalries which he relished with a passion. He has been hired by Black Sun who have been impressed with his work and have offered him the most amount of money to undertake contracts.

Pascale was sent to Mimban along with half of the galaxy’s underworld. The mission: to retrieve a kyber crystal from a temple on the planet and to get there first before anyone else. Rouser got into trouble thanks to a rude Imperial Captain but was thankfully saved by Han Solo and the Millenium Falcon. Han and the Falcon saved him again whilst flying towards the temple’s location, protecting him from some TIE Strikers that had come after himself and the Falcon.

After arriving at the cave leading to the Temple he and Han were confronted by a Hssiss dragon. After defeating the beast Pascale arrived at the Temple itself. However, there were also two more competing parties for the crystal Ka’tra the Mandalorian and two Jedi including the Padawan Linnett. Entering the Temple Pascale was given three paths to choose in order to grab the crystal. He chose poorly.

A dark entity consumed him and he proceeded to try and kill the others. Thanks to Halle, a Coway woman she used the crystals power to heal him, but the entity stayed with him, and it was an experience that Pascale was not likely to ever forget. Two MagnaGuards dispatched from General Grievous arrived to attack the group but the entity helped out by showing a glowing glyph that indicated an exit. However it came at a cost, the Padawan Linnett was stripped of the Force and became an amnesiac. Rouser was also anointed the shadow by the being known as the Father.

Whilst trying to leave Mimban in order to bring the crystal to a safe place, the Ultimate Weapon arrived and the entity helped once again by providing a route the group they could use as an exit. However the Separatists came up with an offer that Pascale could not refuse: grab the crystal and become Underlord and Dark Prince of Black Sun. He accepted and made his way finally off Mimban and on to the next stop :Takodana.

However at Takodana Pascale’s true allegiance to Black Sun was revealed, however nobody knew he was now the new Underlord. A plan was eventually formulated, whilst Ka’tra and Linnett headed to Mandalore on a mission, Pascale, Han, Maz Kanata, Lando Calrissian and others, including a group of Rebels would defend Maz’s castle when the Separatists and the Ultimate Weapon arrived. Eventually himself and Han would lead the Separatists on a merry chase around the galaxy eventually arriving on Mandalore, luring it into a trap.

The Battle of Takodana began with the Separatists arriving but no Ultimate Weapon. Pascale directed the Separatists to where the crystal was, but he also had a plan in place to track it with Boba Fett the legendary bounty hunter now on the Black Sun payroll. Fett cornered Pascale, Lando and Han to try and grab the crystal which was in the possession of Solo, however complications arose when the Dark Lady Qi’ra arrived as well as Princess Feyna Organa and Aryan Graul’s son and a firefight ensued.

Unfortunately Rouser’s yacht Fortuna was damaged by Qi’ra and he feared for his life when the Dark Lady tried to Force choke him. However the entity, after a short time away managed to save him from death. The beast saved him again when Wedge Antillies X wing crashed into the planet sending him flying and wrecking his yacht. Solo escaped on the Rebels ship with the crystal with Qi’ra giving chase. The Separatists dispatched a shuttle to pick him up with Pascale having an internal discussion with the beast as to their next moves.

He was eventually brought to the Ultimate Weapon to meet the Dark Man, the person who had been orchestrating events in the galaxy. The beast was forcibly removed from Pascale and Rouser learned the truth: he had died at the Temple at Mimban and had been used by the beast as a host, his spirit still contained within. He was brought back to life and then the Dark Man revealed himself: Mas Amedda the former Chancellor but now he was a Sith, Darth Wyrrrlok.

Pascale also found out that he had an Echo of the Force inside him, and he managed to unleash it against Amedda and escaped using a Baudo class yacht he had been given as a present from the Dark Lord. Christening the yacht Firenze he managed to escape into hyperspace, but unfortunately not escaping taking a hit which damaged the hyperdrive.

After reading through some Sith artefacts the Dark Lord had left on board, Rouser drunk himself into a stupor and knew that he was possibly going to die. However a nudge from the Echo managed to bring Pascale out of his stupor and directed him to a planet in the unknown: Ach To.

There he became involved in a showdown with an entity that was related to the beast that had used him as a host. With the help of Jedi Master Mace Windu they defeated the entity which had taken the body of former Jedi Ahsoka Tano. She was defeated by Windu who wielded the legendary Dagger of Mortis.

After falling into a cave created by the Force trying to rip the planet apart he once again saw Qi'ra, but also greeted for the first time Aryan Graul, the former Emperor of the Galactic Empire. A cloaked figure then appeared, and explained that he had changed the timeline, that he had messed essentially with their lives but before he could explain more, Qi’ra and Aryan fought over the Dagger of Mortis transporting Pascale back to his ship. Boarding Firenze once again Pascale was giving a choice of destinations by the mysterious cloaked man, out of them all Pascale chose the library world of Nouane.

No longer Underlord of Black Sun and designated a war criminal by the New Republic Pascale decided to lay low on Nouane but still took odd jobs for the underworld and other factions to keep himself in the game. He also decided to embrace his Echo and concentrate on his studies of the Force, but Pascale was not one to be trained by a Master, he became his own one. This would give him that much needed edge against his competitors and hopefully stop anyone from trying to outsmart him.

The libraries and University in Nouane City became his home and it was there that he finally found the woman of his dreams, someone he could settle down with. This was paradise.

But now after 14 years away, it is time for Pascale to step back into the galaxy once again.

The next adventures of the intrepid archeologist are about to begin….

Bio: Gil Fortis grew up among many brothers on Corellia, but left once he was old enough to join the military. For him, staying home was never an option, and he felt compelled to see what lied beyond the sky’s end. After hearing about the fighting and destruction caused by the Empire, he went straight to the nearest recruiter and joined the Republic.

Growing up on Corellia had always put him close to and in nature, which was his way to get away from the shipyards and busy ports that made the planet famous. This affinity for wilder land made him a perfect candidate for the Republic’s scouting needs, and he soon found himself moving ahead of platoons with a rifle in hand to relay intel back to commanders. His ability to stay unseen aided him in staying alive throughout his tours, but he found that he preferred working alone or in small groups due to the danger that large parties could attract.

Toward the end of the Civil War, Gil was caught in a firefight on Chandrila while in a security role. On one side, he and his squad, the other, an underworld gang sporting equipment seized from a lost munition shipment. During the firefight, Gil was struck by a bolt from a heavy blaster while attempting to flank entrenched combatants. His squad successfully pushed out the gang, his team took heavy losses, and he was forced to recover and remove himself from the front lines.

Once the war ended, and peace settled in, Gil left the military and began serving as personal security for the State and others willing to pay for protection. While none of his clients have been particularly high-up, he has been content to make sure the people are kept safe.

Bio:

Galen's mother died in Order 66, but his father survived the attack of his clone trooper squad on Kashyyyk protecting his son.

For reasons Galen never fully understood his father Kento did not return to the Jedi Order, but instead stayed on Kashyyyk. In secrecy he trained his son who was exceptionally gifted in the ways of the force and showed a tremendous gift for everything that included invoking the kinetic might of the force. Galen grew restless though as he grew and wanted to test his abilities in the galaxy of there. He wanted to fight the Empire that had killed his mother. He wanted to join the Jedi, who he knew only from the few flaws his father had shared.

The attack on Kashyyyk changed all that. An army of Battle droids ascended on the planet and after it came a rain of fire and death. His father died that day, burned by the planetary bombardment. He left Galen alone. But he also left him with a purpose.

Revenge for his father's death.

He was denied that revenge, as the man responsible for the bombardment was slain by another. But he quickly learned of the existence of the Sith, a force of evil who ultimately were behind the death of both his parents.

He swore to end these Sith, no matter what the cost. But even as the new Dark Lord of the Sith announced himself, he never appeared again and Galen began instead honing his skills by hunting the next best thing ... he relentlessly hunted down every last remnant of the Empire that had served the murderer of his father. In one of his many raids he acquired the Rogue Shadow, a personal transport he used ever since then. Eventually this grew tiresome though. Faceless goons of a long gone organisation did not satisfy his thirst for vengeance.

He stayed away from the Jedi for all those years knowing they would not approve his purpose. Also he stayed clear of the New Republic mostly as he did not wanted his actions to be associated with a government struggling to create a better galaxy. Instead he remained and in the shadows and looked for any hint of the Sith and their Dark Lord Zorn. Jedi tried to locate him, but with over decade of experience and his training he has avoided them every time.

For many years his attempts to find the Sith had been unfruitful. Some minor collectors of artifacts and backwater planet cultists. Until he finally encountered a young woman on a remote planet outpost. She was well trained in the ways of the force and searched for a man called Skywalker. Anakin Skywalker. The man the Dark Lord demanded to be handed over to him. Rumors had it this was his father. Galen faced this woman who indeed revealed herself to be a Sith. He defeated her, but she forced him to kill her and took the secret of her Master to the grave.

Nevertheless he now understood the Sith were indeed out there and they were looking for something. Or someone. So he began looking for the same. Anakin Skywalker, a legendary Jedi Warrior. Because if he found Skywalker he found the Sith and would finally have a chance to kill their Dark Lord and end their reign of terror before it began.

Since then he has found at least one more Sith, a powerful warrior he fought and killed on Vjun. Again the man left no clue to the whereabouts of his Master. Yet, Galen felt he was on the right track.

He was hunting the hunters and finally he was getting close.

Bio: Being the child of two living legends is a life not many have. Really not comparable to ... being a farmboy or something.

Luke was raised and trained in both the force and politics by the founder of the Republic (his mother) and the Chosen One (his father). He excelled in both fields, much like his beloved twin sister Leia did.

But it is a life undeniably in the shadow of your parents that he lived. That ended the day Alderaan exploded and two Dark Jedi attacked him on Naboo. He tasted fear, despair and power that day. Hatred was born. He killed. For the first time he killed. Enemies. Friends. Everything in his way.

A vision was born this day. Luke Skywalker understood it was him who had the power to force change onto the Galaxy.

Then Darth Maul found him, the lost Sith Lord and abandoned apprentice of Darth Sidious. The really last Sith to have a reasonable claim on the title and yet a broken man. Luke's training began. He was brought to Korriban. His trials began there, too. A path to understanding. A path to enlightenment. A path to ascendancy. A path of suffering and a string of violent encounters.

He murdered Obi-Wan Kenobi, Krayt, Wyyrlock and his own master. He unearthed XoXaans ancient secrets and entered into the unholy embrace with the Dark Side. But all of this was only preparation. Because he knew he was meant to be more ... he was meant to be the Sith'ari. The Chosen One. The final Sith. The harbinger of an eternal peace.

The path to ascension became clearer. Soon he began to see the patterns in the force. Krayt had been meant to create a new and pure Sith Order and by killing him Luke took this destiny. By killing Maul he truly became Darth Zorn, the Dark Lord of the Sith. By killing Obi-Wan Kenobi he overcame the weakness impersonated by his old self, Luke Skywalker. By killing Wyyrlock he became the champion of darkness. But the Chosen One he would only become by killing the Chosen One and steal his destiny. He had to destroy his father. Only then he would become more than a Sith. More than a man!

Anakin Skywalker denied him this final step though. Before Darth Zorn was ready, he vanished. 14 years he has been hiding. 14 years he has not shown himself. 14 years Zorn has searched both the Galaxy and force for him.

Darth Zorn has used those years to prepare though. He has grown powerful beyond any Sith before him. He studied the teachings of old and modern Sith, learned all knowledge his Holocron Master XoXaan had to offer, he hunted down rivals for sport and has created a new Order of the Sith, ruled by one. Him. The Rule of One. The One Sith. The true Dark Lord of the Sith and an order that is the extension of his will.

The irony does not escape him that his powerful blood might have made him the most powerful Sith, yet he remains incomplete. Only the death of his father will allow him to truly rise above his failed predecessors.

So he has prepared. He became aware of the need to lure his father out into the open. 14 years he has prepared to do so.

Soon he would return. The Galaxy had long enough been slumbering. It was time it woke up and was bathed in fire. A fire so bright not even his father could ignore it.

Description: Short dark brown hair with dark brown eyes. Is a little tall and gangly for her age, hasn't quite grown into her body yet. Her skin is tanned having spent some time out in the mandalorian sun. She has strength beyond her years, her mother's training being harsh and pulling no punches. Though she has a few small scars from some youthful misadventures.

Bio: The daughter of a woman that never expected to survive, that never expected to have a family. Tor was loved, but also not coddled. Ka'rta raised her like a warrior, starting with small things, some light weapons training, a little blaster shooting, getting her fitted for some armor. Soon it became more and more, hand-to-hand combat, hunting tactics, and training with bounty hunting equipment. Some might have disagreed with how she raised her child but she knew how dangerous this galaxy was and that she would need to be ready for them. There was also the fact that she had inherited her mother's rage and anger. No better place to put that anger than into training and preparing for the Galaxy that would chew you up and spit you out was always good.

As she grew up she found herself playing with Leia and Alfred, being a sort of big sister to them given that their mothers were so close. She took on the role of protector, and defender of them at times.

She is now on the cusp of undertaking her verd'goten something her mother has been preparing her for years. She is excited for this ready to take the next step to become a Mandalorian.

Bio: Being an Omwati, Qwi Xux was always destined for greatness.

Omwati were known for their aptitude in science, engineering, art and music and with the proper training could retain data than most species. Qwi was born in a world where resources were used sparingly in order to enhance the Omwati's knowledge of their species. Qwi decided at a young age that she wanted to focus on the science and engineering aspects and even in a girl so young she excelled in physics, mathematics and engineering. But then the Empire arrived…

At the age of ten Qwi and nine others were taken from their villages and brought onto a space station on the orders of one Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin. There she was subjected to rigorous education, mental testing and mental challenges. If any of them failed they would be executed and watch as their village was razed to the ground. This drove Qwi into making sure that she completed the tests to the highest standard and to drive her to complete problems. She greatly feared failure because she knew what would happen. Qwi was the only one to survive out of the ten who arrived.

What she never knew was that her experiments and research would help in building the ultimate weapon for Tarkin: the Death Star and the research was also used to create the Separatists Ultimate Weapon. She always believed that it was all being used for innocent purposes and she would never be told the truth.

After the torturous trials were over she returned home but she was always thirsty for more knowledge, more problems to be solved. She excelled in school and higher education and set her sights next on university. After all that happened on the space station orbiting her home world she craved success and perhaps one day to work with the Empire.

Nouane City University came highly recommended, it was a neutral world but the planet was known for its high education standards, and was considered one of the greatest knowledge hotspots in the galaxy. She was accepted and started her studies in her late teenage years.

Qwi aced her studies and was always considered to be the most intelligent and hard working in the class. She graduated with honours and she set her sights on teaching bringing something back to the university that made her feel at home. And she never revealed her suspicions about her earlier research to anyone, but she wanted to atone for what she felt she had done in the past. During this time the Empire fell and was replaced by the New Republic. Qwi secretly had sympathised with the Empire because of her childhood, but she felt unsettled in a galaxy that was bouncing back from war.

It was there that she met the man who would become her partner, Doctor Pascale Rouser, archeologist and war criminal. She had not been looking for love but that fateful day in the library she couldn't even dream of what would happen next. Eventually they started going out and instead of concentrating on planning on her lessons she was more interested in dates and romantic trysts.

He listened to her talk science and engineering, she listened to his adventures. And she fell in love with this man who was nearly double her age, but was willing to listen, help out if he could and loved her like she was special. And she reciprocated his feelings feeling as safe as she could ever be.

Eventually over time Qwi moved in with him, and she was happy and content. Pascale made sure that she did not worry after anything, money, books, anything she wanted. Through the years she continued teaching whilst Pascale took odd jobs in and around the Nouane system. She missed him greatly during these trips and she worried that one day he would end up getting himself hurt. But he always returned and it was always worth the wait.

Her partner however was getting restless and wanting to return to the galaxy at large, she was quite happy and settled on the quiet world of Nouane but she knew if you wanted to get success you have to get yourself out there. And perhaps she could be employed by some of the greatests scientific minds in the galaxy.

Pascale had been honest from the beginning and told her he had been branded a war criminal and what he had been through during the war. However she had not revealed her childhood and what had happened there. Nor had she told him her suspicion: that her research had helped build both superweapons and that Alderaan had been destroyed because of it.

This secret was haunting her, but she would stay by her partners side until the end. Now she, like Pascale wants to head out into the wider galaxy, to take part in his adventures and perhaps make herself known on the galactic stage.

However the secret she holds could end up with both of them in danger and could not only spell trouble for her relationship, but could doom the whole galaxy…

Bio: Anakin Skywalker, the legend, the Chosen One, the Jedi Hero, left the Jedi Order in the days after the Clone Wars and settled down with Padme, his wife, and their two children on Naboo. The disappointment of his Masters was great, but Anakin had felt the Dark Side and he knew he carried more of it in his heart than any man of his power should. He never talked about it, but truly the revelation of the true nature of the man he had once called friend as a Sith Lord had shaken his infamous confidence to the core. The act of killing him had also broken his heart and equally damaged his believe in the Jedi way. He truly understood the prophecy and finally realized the price it would demand from the Galaxy. It was more than a defeat, it was an age old struggle for balance that demanded millions of lives.

He wanted to be no more part of this. Quite the contrary, he retreated from all Jedi activity and supported the greatest believer in peace he knew ...his wife. A woman much wiser than he was. In his view the Jedi had failed to be the beacon of hope they should be. He personally had failed. It was Padme and her Republic that took up this torch and he was certain it was the will of the force for her to succeed.

Their children Luke and Leia would help with it. Eventually he would have had them trained by his old friend Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Then things turned out differently.

Alderaan happened.

A peace negotiation that became a genocide and the death of Leia and Padme. Only with the help of his friend Obi-Wan he himself was kept from falling to the dark side and take revenge. On Coruscant they dueled and Obi-Wan Kenobi managed to break through to him. But while he fought his own anger, his son lost his battle. He fell to the dark side. Guided by Lord Sidious final living apprentice he left the Rebellion and his father behind to become a Sith. Obi-Wan Kenobi followed him to save Luke, but was slain by the boy.

Anakin felt lost. The Rebellion did not wanted to have him and Feyna Organa deeply mistrusted him, the weak Emperor Graul did not even talk to him and abandoned his son instead. He was not Emperor for much longer afterwards. The new Emperor Wyyrlock offered a deal of Anakin's exile for the denial of using his super-weapon. Anakin had decided to go to exile anyway and accepted, leaving the Rebellion to fight alone. He had met a man called Han Solo there who had almost become a friend in their short time together. He too left the Rebellion behind. Wyyrlock did not fulfill the pact for one day, before Luke did what Anakin had not. He ended the short reign of the Chagrian. Darkness had chosen it's champion. The one champion Anakin was not willing to fight.

He withdrew, as promised ... leaving behind the Galaxy that had not wanted him ... and denied his son the one thing the boy wanted more than anything. The duel with his own father.

For 14 years he has existed in absolute solitary and has barely touched the force in that time. The last message the spirit of his old Master gave him that the Rebellion had ... somehow accidentially ... won. Anakin had not been needed after all.

He remained in hiding and hoped to eventually be forgotten. A legend and historical figure so detached from galactic business, nobody considered him real.

Joren was born into a family of explorers. Based in the Minos Cluster his grandfather was the legendary Tobol Sole who mapped several routes through the Mestra Asteroid fields.

He picked up the love for exploration from early age, but not the talent. Also he used the money of his family to buy the best ship available, he found it hard to make a meaningful contribution to the exploration of new areas of space. He withdrew to mapping known star-systems that had outdated maps. A job that got him enough money to stay above the water, but not getting him anywhere.

Even this job almost cost him his life two years ago when he crashed on Dagobah. An old hermit actually saved him from certain death. The nameless man - he called him Jobe - helped him survive and repair his ship. He was a funny dude, very interested in galactic affairs, also he seemed happily living on Dagobah alone. Despite his best efforts Joren could not convince him to leave.

Since meeting him the luck of Joren seems to have changed. He has mapped two short-cuts into uninhabited systems and right now is researching for a meaningful next target.

All he wants is make a contribution to the galaxy worth remembering.

Nevertheless he often remembers this night on Dagobah where he prepared to die, buried under his broken shield generator and seemingly alone.

He wonders until today how and old man had been able to lift the generator all by himself ...

Qi’ra was born on Corellia, growing up on the rough streets of the notorious Coronet City slums…

Quick-witted, savvy and smart, she eventually became a “scrumrat” of the White Worms, an underworld criminal gang that operated out of the sewers beneath the city. Thieving for their leader, Lady Proxima, she earned herself a notable spot in their ranks for her ability to adapt and con her way out of any situation, and into the pockets of those she stole from. This was how she met an intriguing young man by the name of Han. The pair bonded easily, working together as teenagers and eventually becoming lovers. They both craved a life beyond their proverbial chains and longed to escape in a ship of their own to experience the galaxy at large.

Eventually finding their moment and hatching a plan involving stolen, highly valuable coaxium – a raw mineral that once refined, is used as hyperspace fuel – they attempted to bribe their way off planet. The plan went awry and Qi’ra was recaptured by the Worms as Han was forced to flee alone, separating them for several years. During that time, as punishment for her escape, she was sold by Lady Proxima into slavery. This put the young girl on a path that saw her end up in the employment of a wealthy gangster named Dryden Vos, the public face of Crimson Dawn – an emerging, yet powerful crime syndicate.

It didn’t take Vos long to take note of Qi’ra’s potential and he eventually offered her a valuable position within his organization. While this new role gave her a more luxurious and powerful lifestyle, her forced loyalty to an owner would remain. Becoming Vos’ top lieutenant and most trusted operative, she still bore the branding of Crimson Dawn upon her skin. Not literal chains, but permanent ones just the same, ones that taught her many brutal and tough lessons – most of which she refuses to speak of.

Through a chance encounter during this period of her life, she was reunited with Han, now known as Han Solo. At the order of Vos, the pair were sent off on a mission that would see them grow close once more, only to tear them apart for a final time.

In a climactic betrayal, Qi’ra killed Dryden in order to spare Han’s life, but she did not flee with her former flame as they had long ago planned to do and he still expected to. Instead, seeing Han safely away, she chose to step into a drastically different role and personally hail the true leader of Crimson Dawn, a figure shrouded in complete mystery and darkness.

In the wake of Vos’ death, the former Sith apprentice immediately summoned Qi’ra to his side on Dathomir. She obeyed, leaving Han and her old life behind for good.

Under Maul’s watchful and oppressive eye, Qi’ra’s latent Force abilities were uncovered and flourished while she trained for many years at his feet. Crowned as his Sith Apprentice, Darth Ananke, she grew into her own within the dark side and absorbed any and all knowledge her Master bestowed upon her, all the while keeping up appearances as the public face of Crimson Dawn.

Yet again, however, the chains were still there – once more they were different than on Corellia, and different than when she was with Dryden. These chains were the most binding of them all, though they would end up proving the most beneficial. In the end.

The more time passed, the more she secretly wove her own connections and contacts within the criminal organization she ran but did not own, and the more she sought out her own methods of teachings in the Force - preparations for when the time came to take what was rightfully hers.

One fateful trip to Malachor saw Qi’ra, now fully absorbed into Ananke, at the end of her rope where Maul was concerned. She believed at that point that she had surpassed him in strength and motivations, knowing that his hatred for the Jedi kept him small-minded and weak.

A battle occurred, Ananke the victor. But a mistake was made that would have rippling repercussions in the years to come – she left him alive.

AFTER THAT, up to 14 Years Ago...

Fast forward a bit and gloss over several major events and Ananke had become the one and only leader of Crimson Dawn. She was now not just the face, but the entire body; the head, the arms, the legs, and the heart. Business was lucrative and continually growing, and she was simultaneously becoming as powerful as ever within her dark side capabilities. Of course, the absence of trouble just gives way to the fear of it and as long as she had lived her true self in the shadows, chance events brought her to kill an Emperor and out herself to his successor. It was the beginning of a long line of course corrections, many of which she would belatedly see as the wrong moves.

However, any deviation from her chaotic journey may have kept her from happening upon a holocron, its guardian a cloaked female by the name of Braata. This device was special, incredibly unique, and Ananke felt a draw to it in a strongly familiar way. The pair connected and helped one another on one or two occasions, the mysterious Braata even going so far as to telling her keeper she was aware of a well-kept secret, one that was hinted at by the ramblings of the Man in Mirror on Ach-To.

Ananke’s holocron knew of another, and after destroying any last dredges of Maul upon her conscious, she stripped herself of the Sith way in the face of discovering something far beyond a broken dark side cult.

She set off on this path, alone.

14 Years Ago...

IC: Darth Ananke & A Shadow of a Master..
Malachor

For all the strange pathways the Force had lead her on recently, this was arguably the most surreal of them all.

The Temple on Malachor, being back in the murky depths of this hallowed space stirred something unique within Ananke that she had not felt anywhere else but here. So many years ago, with her former Master. The memories were altogether unpleasant, still harboring regret for not managing to kill him when she had the opportunity. Leaving Maul alive had been a mistake, but there was nothing more to be done about it. Wherever he was, she hoped that now he was indeed dead, his corpse rotting away and over time, his legacy forgotten.

She did not see herself as a part of that legacy, having been detached from him and moved well beyond him since leaving this planet on her own. She had created her own story to tell and locating not just one, but two holocrons would be her best chapter yet.

Walking slowly through the ruins that fanned out from the massive structure at the center, Ananke’s mind registered the familiarity of the scene. Petrified bodies in varying states of triumph and active death littered the ground, forever frozen in time. More than when she had come here with Maul, now she was truly walking among them – the Jedi and Sith of an ancient era. The electricity of life extinguished on such a grand scale was palpable in the air she breathed, making the hairs on her arms stand on end and her lungs burn. It only intensified the closer she came to the weapon, as did the absence of sound. It was eerily quiet, not even her footsteps made any noise.

Stopping on the precipice of the main entry, she turned back the way she had come, her eyes sweeping out around her. It was a haunting landscape, the way the shadows seemed to gather then almost move, as if that which cast them were breaking back into the plane of the living to continue a battle that never saw an end.

Against her better judgement Ananke stepped back a few paces towards a partially collapsed archway and a concentration of statues, thinking her mind may be playing tricks on her. But she had seen something flit across the edge of her vision and it had been too large to be some small scavenging creature. That and she couldn’t sense any lifeforms nearby. Weaving in and out of the collection of deceased, she rounded a large column and skidded to a halt, her saber hilt flying into her hand before she could even assess what it was she was looking at.

It took but a second before what was once wisps of dusty air accumulated into something solid – all black in color but distinctly zabrak in appearance. She knew exactly who this was.

"I was here for years, apprentice. Did you not think that I would have left a part of myself? Me, who had surpassed death once before by my will? That I had mastered Pain, like the ancient Sith of old?"

“Maul,” Ananke breathed, setting her jaw and narrowing her eyes menacingly at the presence. He had a lightsaber of his own held at the ready, mimicking her.

"You are no Dark Lord, as long as I live... and I am not dead, as long as you live."

“I am more Dark Lord than you would have ever allowed, Master,” she snapped. “Have you enjoyed your stay amongst the dead and conquered? You all have so much in common…” Her crimson blade shot to life at her side and she settled her bones. The several days it took her to travel here had been spent in rest and recovery. Healing her wounds and rejuvenating her addled mind. Unlike her confrontation with Ahsoka Tano, Ananke was practically whole again, fully charged and ready.

"I have, yes..." he said. "They whispered of you, of your last visit here, with them. They misssssed you."

He was pacing, smiling that smile, his horns more bestial than ever, his eyes glowing yellow to the point of white, his feet, for once, not leaving that impression they used to as his mechanical legs walked.

In his hands appeared a blade of crimson upon the end of a saberstaff, and Maul attacked, rushing and rolling forward as he did to close the distance between the two of them. He swung out his lightsaber at throat height, and then threw the ash he had grabbed as he rolled
into her face.

If she breathed it in...

Ananke arched backwards to evade the attack and then threw herself back up and over after, leading with her right shoulder. Her blade followed along on an overhead arc, slamming down from above Shadow Maul's horned skull. The ash had caught her same side cheek as she had turned her head away just in time to keep from taking it full on, forcing her to keep her mouth shut and hold her breath so that not a single particle entered her body.

No visions, no games. Only the two of them.

Maul didn't let up, flicking up his saberstaff to block her downward strike, and he pushed off the floor, following her into the sky and inverting his staff and igniting the second blade. The advantage of the weapon was it's ability to launch a second attack with a mere pivot, and no need to twist ones entire body to make that angle of assault happen.

As he kicked off the floor, he drew a whirlwind of ash around them, a tornado of black dust seeking to surround them in its quiet spot.

"Only games, Qi'ra," Maul quipped, reading her thoughts as only a Master could; without using the Force, by merely knowing her.

Wiping her mouth clean of the ash, even as Maul sent a storm of it in a circular motion around them - trapping them - she maintained composure. Though his choice words had lit her anger into a growing fire that burned in her chest.

"My name... is Ananke!" she shouted, following his airborne trek with her eyes. The moment he would come in to land she would have already turned and moved towards him, kicking out at his chest and powering the strike with Force to blow him back into the churning wall of dust.

Maul landed with a grin, enjoying her rage - and landing on her foot. It took him out and through the dust storm with a howl, but he managed to keep it intact. His voice echoed from outside the tornado, which intensified to the point of darkening everything around her; her blade cast a red glare as the whirlwind grew more defined.

"You will always be the slave Qi'ra to me..."

His voice appeared behind her.

Ananke's throat tightened as she whirled on the spot, searching the churning darkness for the zabrak with her body poised for a renewed fight. She saw nothing.

"... abandoned on Corellia, a gutter-rat in the slime..."

then the voice was to her left. It was if he was prowling the edges, speaking to distract her.

She turned again towards his taunts, though only her head this time. She expanded her senses into and through the dust wall, reaching for Maul with the fingers of her thoughts. The intense currents of this underground graveyard mixing with the roiling emotions here between these two beings would disorient even the more practiced Force user... but it did not deter her. The Sith's rage kept her focus fine-tuned and singular, her hate only made room in her mind for him.

Unnaturally still, she searched harder...

"... you are always the schutta of Han Solo!"

The voice was to her right, but he burst through the dust, behind and to her left, lashing out at her ankle as he darted by, before leaving the tornado - which dutifully began to contract.

The second Ananke located the crazed zabrak he came for her, giving her but a moment's lead to clear his low attack.

With an invisible punch downward in the Force, she shot straight up and out of the maelstrom, leaving behind a sunken hole where her feet had been. Like a blaster bolt Ananke soared into the air, her trajectory dispersing parts of the black storm that begun collapsing inward from all sides. When she reached the apex of her flight, with controlled precision she began to descend, concentrating on suppressing the remaining tornado and squash it into nonexistence with an umbrella barrier that would precede her back down to the hallowed ground.

Ananke, Qi'ra had never ignored her past or denied where she had come from, what torments she had suffered along her journey to the here and now. Shadow Maul's words did nothing more to her pride than bolster it. He had always failed to tear her down during their time as Master and Apprentice, and now that she was more powerful than him - and still living, she assumed - he would fail again.

Her eyes flicked through the shadows for him as the floor rushed up to meet her.

She escaped his trap, and artfully so, but when she came to land and the smoke dispersed, Maul was nowhere to be seen. The ruins loomed, shadows draping across the petrified statues, and his presence in the Force vanished. His blade was extinguished, and she would have difficulty finding her former Master.

The area was littered with those statues, all armed with lightsabers that were millennia old and suffering for it. The silence... it was deafening.

Ananke prowled the graveyard in a heightened alert state, her movements almost feline as she folded deeper into the Force and stretched out further with her senses. Whatever mind game her former Master had left for her as a parting gift... it was more relentless than she would have liked.

"Hiding are we?" she taunted, rounding a half-toppled archway that opened into nothing. If there had been a bigger structure beyond this entry it had been disintegrated by the weapon many millennia prior. She flourished her crimson blade here and there, casting light into darker places. "Seems a bit too cowardly, even for you, Master."

Suddenly grasping another saber hilt from the back of her belt - that of Ahsoka Tano, the smaller of the two that she had removed from her corpse - she flicked the blade into existence. Aside from an unforgiving vibration from the device, as if to shake her foreign grip from it, a brilliantly bright glow emanated from the emitter. Even clearer than her own.

Red in her right, white in her left.

"True Sith know how to use the shadows, my apprentice," a laugh from nowhere and everyone, but then, piqued annoyance. "The weapon of Lady Tano? She used it to signify she was not a Jedi... do you use it to state that you are no longer Sith?"

One of the statues seemed to become animated and ignited its blade, a green blade appeared and the form slashed down at her. It dissolved as it did, because it was just dust and long-petrified flesh.

Another statue moved simultaneously, slashing blue across her waist, though it too, dissolved as it did.

Maul was moving them, and suddenly the entire surrounding area of statues became a threat. His laugh echoed.

Swerving and bending out of the way, it took but a moment for Ananke to realize that the reanimated corpses could do no real damage. Sifting through each attack with halfhearted defensive maneuvers, she instead retrained her focus on locating Shadow Maul. Being so near to the Temple entrance still, she retreated back to the main doors and leapt upward once more, dropping down on a ledge about two stories above the ground where the dead were continuing to seek her out.

"Was I ever Sith in your eyes?" she challenged, shouting the question out into the expanse that stretched before her. From this vantage point, the cavern seemed to reach into eternity, the back end fading into an endless black hole. "Your single-minded agendas never interested me. They allowed your hatred to blind you, whereas I've always been able to see."

She bent into a crouch and searched the area intensely, thinking of Braata. Thinking of what they had come here for. "If what I did to stay alive and grow stronger makes me something other than part of your fanatical cult, then so be it."

She took a breath, but felt no trepidation in saying aloud what she had often thought. "I am no Sith."

There was a surge of utter hatred at Ananke, as if what she had said touched a nerve of Maul's soul, and with a roar from the exact same direction of the emotional spike, and, thus, an incredibly telegraphed attack, one of the statues burst free of a layer of black dust and launched at her, twin hands holding his lightsaber, a single blade ignited high above his horned head.

"How dare you!"

Her stare was already upon him as he came for her, his unguarded fury revealing him to her before he even moved.

Maul's anger made him predictable, even in shadow form.

Already having Ahsoka's white saber up to block his overhead attack, once he was just about to land before her on the narrow ledge, Ananke slashed out horizontally with her dominant hand that held her own crimson blade. It would be level with his midsection, about where he had previously lost his lower half to a mere Jedi Apprentice.

His momentum carried him onwards; her blade carved him in two. His upper torso rolled atop the Temple edge, and Maul scrabbled for purchase, a shadowy creature. "I will kill you, Qir'a. You will die by my hand!"

The bottom half of his body vanished off the edge, before disappearing into ash. But the lower part of his body began to sprout legs; one, two, three - four in total, and he reared up, his horns growing more monstrous and his eyes blazing white.

He was clearly no longer Maul; not even Sith.

Just all monster.

Muttering incomprehensibly, he ripped his lightsaber hilt into two blazing halfs, and launched himself forward, abandoning all strategy just to cut her apart, his legs scrabbling for purchase.

Eyes widening though keeping her composure, Ananke used the narrow space to her advantage and reared back, gathering as much of the Force as she could in as quick a time. Whirling back upon what was left of this version of Maul, she unleashed a push out at his wobbly legs all the while keeping her sabers up to protect any wayward strikes.

Maul was all force, and no Force; a spent one, perhaps, hoping that her surprise would give him victory even through the disadvantage of the high ground. He roared, tripping forward, and eviscerating himself on Ananke's sabers; into dust and smoke he dissipated, howling.

As he vanished into nothingness, his soft voice echoed out.

Well done, my apprentice. I name you the True Dark Lord, and Zorn a heretic... if only I had died when you left me here, all those years ago...

... I would have not have doomed the Sith to his Rule of One.

Have faith, my apprentice, the Dark Side will give you all that you need to triumph.

Master patience, and you shall master all of your foes.

Ananke shrieked; a roar, a release of her pent up hatred and loathing for both her former Master and herself. She realized the error of her ways, accepting responsibility for the repercussions that traveled outward from the moment she had left him here alive so many years ago til now, like ripples echoing out from a central disturbance. Her momentary choice back then had carved out the chaos that one lost Skywalker created now, and a lot else she wouldn't think on.

None of it was her problem. Not anymore.

"I am not your apprentice!" Ananke called out into the cavernous graveyard, shouting over the edge of her perch upon the Temple wall. "I want none of your meaningless titles!"

She sucked in her breath and deactivated her sabers, shuddering as she contained her emotions and turned away from the endless sea of prettified corpses that seemed to stare up at her - a crowd of minions waiting for their leader. Even though they were long dead, the very idea of that sort of attention unnerved her. The Sith, their power struggles, obsessive games and galactic domination... over and over she knew she had never wanted that path. The journey she began at Maul's feet was one of self-discovery, of honing her strength and skills; learning, waiting, watching...

The Sith were a means to an end, not the end itself.

Holstering her weapons, Ananke brought Braata back out into the view. She held the holocron in her open palm and looked upon the device with different eyes. What had brought her back to Malachor to truly put the past to rest, once and for all, was what contained her future. The journey had only just begun.

"I am no Sith," she whispered, repeating the threat she had teased Shadow Maul with. "I want more."

0 ATA, one week after the election of Chancellor Organa, her office on Corellia

It was not a week after the Senate almost unanimously elected Feyna to the position of Chancellor of the New Republic.

The Senate had settled on Corellia, and generally everything was going incredibly well. Much of the Old Republic infrastructure was being reused, though the constitutional methods that Palpatine had used to extend his term were to be re-examined. There was a debate about at what point to allow the armed forces to continue their build-up, or to cut-back following the Cold War, and similarly, another discussion about whether to shift the power in the New Republic to the Senate or keep it with the Chancellor.

But those were discussions for another time.

As she returned to her office from a charity function with Prince Isolder, who seemed determined to push himself into center of every event she was involved in, Winter stepped out and noticed her approaching from the gala, unchaperoned save for the bodyguard unit which maintained a respectful distance. "Feyna, I have Jedi Master Ood Bnar in your office ready for you. I left him with the Box to come and find you." They had been passing it between each other for the past few days, but they were far too busy with everything else to go on a jaunt to wherever to ditch the Box and the Crystal itself.

"Thank you, Winter," Feyna replied. Instructing her guard to remain posted in the corridor, she entered her office and sealed the door behind her.

Seeing as Feyna didn't have much in the way of personal belongings at the moment, there wasn't much in the new Chancellor's office, beyond basic technologies, a few chairs, and her desk.

And the Box. She still had the Box; much as she hated it, there hadn't been time to dispose of it yet, nor to even decide exactly how. Though that would hopefully soon be settled, as that was partly the purpose of this meeting with Bnar.

The Neti Master was waiting within, the Box sitting on the desk. "Master Bnar, thank you for coming," she greeted him, tugging off her gloves and moving to sit down.

The Neti looked at the chair, but arranged his features into a smile, shifting to settle, even managing his size so more of his mass crested the floor rather than weighed down on the chair.

“Thank you for seeing me, Chancellor. I appreciate how busy you already are. Much to discuss, we have. The Box, the Jedi Order, and one other, personal matter.” His eyes cast upon the black, multi-faced box.

“I returned to Ossus to remove what sensitive material remained.” He rustled his extremities in a shudder. ”I found that this design had been duplicated, but not as a storage container, but as something known as a Rakatan Mind Trap. An ancient Empire used it to trap the minds of those they would not execute. Instead they kept them in a place for millennia until the mind of the prisoner broke down.” A branch unfurled. “This is not a mind trap. Neither was the original box, if indeed Ka’rta smashed it. If it was intended to be, it has been replaced. A mystery, to be discussed, but not one relevant to us, and now.”

He refocused on Feyna. “Dispose of it, we must. Not just because it is a Kaiburr that can be used in terrible weapons, but due to its presence in the dark side of the Force. There is a cluster of black holes that might be used for such a thing.”

“A short hop; and you and I can go together, if you wish.”

As Master Bnar detailed the origins of the Box's design, Feyna's frown deepened. Why someone would duplicate such a horrid artifact in the first place, or own one of these duplicates, was beyond her.

All the more reason to be rid of it; having the crystal around was like holding a piece of the Death Star, in her mind, and now knowing what the box represented...Feyna shuddered a bit.

"So the Maw is our best choice?" She knew the crystal couldn't be destroyed, but she had been hoping for a more permanent option, perhaps dropping it into a volcano or launching it into a sun--though she was unsure as to the safety of doing so. She could understand the logic of using the Maw, difficult as it was to navigate...but it could be navigated, as she'd discovered that it had served as the Death Star's building site.

Ood nodded, rustling. “A volcano would not destroy the Crystal; a sun might not, either, indeed, the sun might explode, a system defoliated, and the Crystal remain.”

A gesture of a shoulder branch; a Neti shrug. “Consigned to the black holes, gravity will inevitably tear it asunder, and end the issue entirely, one would expect. But it is your choice, Chancellor. We can simply hide the Box, or, deploy subterfuge to separate the Box and the Crystal as Han Solo did.”

Eyes met hers. “If you require control of it forever, or to let it go and move on, that is.”

He'd read her mind, and quickly ruled out her unspoken suggestions, but also addressed her concerns about the Maw.

"No, it's too dangerous to keep; the Maw will be sufficient, then."

She angled the Box to show its cryptic warning. "What about the inscription?" Who were the Protectors, and did the message have any connection to whatever prophecy Amedda had referenced?

Bnar peered, looking upon it, and reading it aloud, not even realising that he had skimmed thoughts from the top of her mind. Ood was out of practice interacting with non-Jedi, admittedly.

"Treachery, Dread and Pain will come to the Protectors, and fracture they will."

The Jedi Master rearranged his face briefly into an expression of thought. "I have looked into it... Treachery, Dread and Pain are Sith concepts, of four millennia ago, perhaps as vapid treachery, hungry dread, and pale pain, but the only references I can find to the Protectors are even older; to some dated translations of thirty millennia old Killik mounds from your own homeworld, as a reference to a specific set of Force users." He paused at that. "Whatever Amedda was doing... presumably he didn't succeed." He stood, pacing slowly. "Prophecy and the Force is a very delicate thing. It is possible to lose oneself to it. With the Force we can only see moments in time, and very rarely have the context of it."

He looked back to Feyna. "Anakin had a vision of his wife dying in childbirth, and nearly fell to the dark side to avoid it. Instead, he trusted the Force, and the moment did not occur. There have been... hints, that had he purposely stepped to prevent the vision, that Padme would have indeed died at his hand. As such, there is danger in pursuing these issues."

Ood paused. "I would love to meet with Pascale Rouser; he had the most contact with the Dark Man, aboard the Ultimate Weapon." Another rustle; a Neti shrug. "On the Dark Man, I have even less information on the significance of the title. Darth Wyyrlok, of course, we know as Sith title, but Amedda never appeared to be interested in grooming an apprentice; not one that we know of, anyway."

A slight croak of a laugh. "The roots of the tree become entangled, Chancellor. We shall lose ourselves among them."

The Chancellor nodded; with Amedda dead, it didn't seem that the inscription or his prophecy were anything to get too worried about. Once the Box and the crystal were gone, hopefully that would be the end of it.

"Speaking of apprentices..." She began, shifting the subject. "What of the Order?"

The Old Republic and the Jedi Order had been almost symbiotic for a thousand years before Order 66, and though there would likely be Senate procedures to go through, Feyna hoped to undo the damage and restore the Order to its pre-Empire status--but that was dependent on whether there would even be a new Jedi Order.

"We shall rebuild, but it will take time. Years, even. I intended to ask for the Yavin base, now the war is over; I have visited there, while meeting with General Dodonna - it has a history to it, and a new Order might flourish." He paused.

"I apologise that I abandoned the children. Believed the smuggler, I did, in my sorrow for our losses. Redeem myself, I would, with a question." He folded his hands together. "The Empire - for every terrible captain, there were ones who served the Old Republic and stuck by Coruscant, and the capital. Needa; Pellaeon; Rogriss. The vilest among them - Harrsk, Teradoc, Screed, Zsinj - they were killed by Krennic."

He unfurled a limb, and the door opened, revealed Winter, but standing behind an uncomfortable looking Needa in his Imperial uniform. "Chancellor, I apologise, but Master Bnar made me come."

Feyna was careful not to show her annoyance, but she privately hoped that Bnar was not going to make a habit of springing Imperial officers on her.

She beckoned both Winter and Needa in, giving the officer a polite nod of greeting before turning her gaze back to Master Bnar, silently inviting him to explain.

Bnar didn't detect her annoyance, instead impressed by how she had schooled her features and indeed her emotions; it was an important task for a Chancellor to have. "I invited him so that you could show the suitable annoyance if it is noticed or commented upon. But Admiral Needa represents hundreds of thousands of constituents without a representative within the Senate... the Imperial Armed Forces."

He did not allow her to speak, but soothed his voice. "Many Imperials jumped at the chance to assist in the final battle against the Ultimate Weapon; against their Emperor - but it will take time for the galaxy to forgive, and even longer to forget. In that time, inequalities and discrimination will arise, and a generation of young Imperials radicalized..."

Ood Bnar wanted to say, "... and there are two Sith Lords in hiding who will take advantage..." but he felt no need.

"Needa has a proposition."

He clicked his heels, and spoke with a nudge from Bnar. "The Empire happened in response to the Clone Wars; it was not just a manufactured entity, a Sith one, it was a genuine thought to that chaos - to Sith chaos. Many of us were officers in the Republic, or had fathers who were, like me - my father led the charge to save the Chancellor from General Grievous at the Battle of Coruscant." He paused. "I would like to give the opportunity to prove to the galaxy that we also evacuated populations, defended them from Hutt marauders, and kept the peace for twenty years..."

"There are worlds in the Outer Rim that the Separatists despoiled to build the Ultimate Weapon - the Empire barely built one with half a galaxy to govern; the Separatists simply drained a fifth of it and enslaved whole worlds; we would like to take a reduced complement of ships, mainly shuttles and freighters, but, yes, Star Destroyers too, and rehabilitate a section of space for the New Republic."

"An Imperial Remnant, if you would," he said, biting his lip again.

Feyna had to mentally chew over it for a moment. The New Republic was still getting itself on its feet, and there were advantages to having former Imperials publicly showing cooperation and acting on behalf of the new government in these outside territories...but she could also see how it might come back to bite her, if instead this Imperial Remnant became a breeding ground for dissent.

But Master Bnar seemed to trust Needa's intentions, and the Republic couldn't afford to ignore these broken Separatist worlds; doing so was just asking for another conflict.

"How many ships are we talking about?"

“Probably a few thousand freighters and shuttle’s, but no more a dozen Star Destroyers, and two dozen cruisers and their TIE fighters.” Needa shrugged. “No Stormtroopers, mind you.”

“The New Jedi Order can make it one of their goals to supervise them, of course,” said Bnar. “There are eight sectors that the Muun’s drained of wealth on the edge of the Unknown Regions, and in the subsequent rebellion Muunilinst and Mygeeto were devastated in the brief violence.”

Winter, who had actually stepped into the room but was merely taking notes, chimed in. “In the far northern quadrant, yes, we have minimal influence. In the south the Senex Lords and Eriaduan’s are doing the brunt of the recovery work there, and in the rest of the north the Hapans, Centrality and Commonality are hoping to restore worlds in the Trans-Hydian... though we know a lot of wealth was stripped and moved to the Corporate Sector.”

“Which hasn’t joined the New Republic either,” Needa pointed out. “I know Grand Admiral Piett wants to ask, but he’s too high profile, madam Chancellor, and he didn’t want to do so publicly for fear of controversy.”

Bnar shrugged, still sitting. “It is not a question of whether you oppose the idea, Chancellor, but whether you won’t. The Senate should discuss it, and they may even refuse. But if you say no, it’s over.”

Feyna pursed her lips, just slightly. There was already a debate brewing as to how much power the Chancellor should or shouldn't have; if she shot this down without giving the Senate a say, it was sure to spark an uproar, and that was not how she wanted to start the term.

And hopefully, having the Jedi supervising would discourage any would-be troublemakers.

"Let's see what the Senate has to say about it, then," she replied. "If they approve the plan, I won't stop it."

“Thank you, Chancellor.” Admiral Needa bowed to her, and to Master Bnar. “I didn’t ask you to ambush her, Master Jedi.”

The Neti looked innocent. “It was for the best, Admiral. The Chancellor merely needed the space to make the right decision; a public affair would have forced her to take a stand. The Senate can decide the rest.”

“I suppose,” he said, frowning somewhat, but Needa took his leave.

Ood Bnar watched him go. “Shall we take the Box, Chancellor?”

Winter smiled slightly. “I took the liberty of clearing your schedule for the rest of the day, Feyna. I know what Jedi are like, after all.”

“My ship is ready, if you are, Chancellor,” Bnar eyed her attire, fresh from the gala being chased around by Prince Isolder.

Feyna rose and nodded. "Let me change into something more travel-friendly, and we'll go."

It would be a relief to finally see the Box, and its dangerous Crystal, gone for good.

IC: Ka'rta and Mirdala
Mandalore, 1 year ATA

"End me.", Ka'rta said sitting down at the simple table in their equally simple prefab home. "Just take out your blaster and shoot me in the head. Make it quick."

"Well," Playfully Mirdala pulled out his blaster. "While I usually follow orders I usually like to know why?"

"Because if I have to go to another meeting I'm going to kill someone...likely the Manda'lor."

"Well we can't have that." He sat next to her putting the blaster on the table. "You were not meant for the political life."

"No, I never wanted to be a politician, I'm a mercenary, a soldier for fortune."

"A woman of action trapped in a position of inaction." She fixed him with a stare one he didn't shy away from. He'd learned that you don't back down. You don't show weakness around her, not when she was like this. He met her gaze, unflinching as she looked him up and down.

"You going to shoot me yet?"

"No, not this time." He pulled his blaster off the table and put it back in his holster. "You just need a distraction…"

"Are you offering?" The deeper tone in her voice sent a thrill up his spine, a sense of danger in her words.

"When have I ever been one to shy away from a challenge?" His brow arched still don't backing down even though his heart was starting to race.

"Armor off,"

"Where are we going?"

"To the training ground."

"Oh…"

"What you were thinking somewhere else?"

"Well, maybe."

"That can come later, right now I need to hit something."

"And you want to get hit?"

"It's no fun just hitting something that doesn't hit back…"

Mirdala began to take off his armour. "I already have bruises from when we are together, so I may as well earn some by getting actually hit." He undid the thigh plates. "But all in service of Manda'lor..."

"Don't mention her..." Ka'rta replied already removing her chest armor. "She's the reason I'm so angry. Making a deal with the Republic, taking meeting with them." She growled running her fingers through her hair. "Come on I really need to hit something."

"Alright, alright." He had himself down to the bodysock that the armour was affixed to, and then looked down. "Do you need me down to my underwear?" Mirdala had a grin on, of course.

She was just as likely to simply hit him, at this point.

He laid out the bait and she took it, she was not in the mood for him to needle her. Lashing out her fist swung around catching him in the ribs right over a bruise she'd gave him the night before.

"Ow!" Mirdala yelped. He had deserved that, but he had no intention of letting it go. Recovering, he reached for the arm as she retracted it, intending to grab at it. He was heavier set than her, but not by much, so if they grappled he should have the advantage.

His grin remained on his face.

Her hand was caught by him and using his leverage he pulled her close. He stood a bit taller than her so that gave him another advantage in the grapple, but she had flexibility he lacked. Slipping her leg behind his her heel pressed into the back of his knee intending to take them to the floor where his height advantage would be lessened. She wasn't smile, though she never did, you could only tell she was having fun by the fire in her eyes.

Mirdala dropped, surprised, grabbing at her opposite shoulder as he tipped, determined to bring her down with him so she didn't have the advantage above him... or, rather, a further advantage. He landed heavily, huffing, but he was fine, intending to entangle her right leg with his left so he could roll her on to her back - unless she did something.

Which she usually did.

They landed with a heavy thud her legs on either side of his hips. Feeling his leg wind around hers and try and to shift her to put her under him and use his weight to keep her down. With a sweep she grabbed the wrist that was holding onto her shoulder and tore it off her. Pinning it to the floor she stuck out her left leg to stabilize herself. Her other forearm pressed into his chest sliding up onto his throat.

Mirdala tried to unwind his legs but failed, she had leverage, and everything, basically. Unless he could apply his entire strength to move her off... but of course he could not.

"Okay, okay, okay!" He tapped out.

She smiled predatory and broad. She had won...she always won. Though he put up a good fight. She bent down her legs slipping down so they straddled his hips. Taking his lips she seemed to revel in her victory, until a cry broke the silence. Their child's wail. Instantly she snapped up eyes wide quickly moving off him and into the nursery.

Time spent with Mirdala could wait, their daughter needed her.

"Hush ad'ika, buir is here." She bounced the little life in her arms they didn't plan any of this, didn't really think about anything beyond the next day. Now they had something to think about, to worry about. Though she had kept them both awake many nights, and likely lead to Ka'rta's general grouchy disposition, she wouldn't trade it for the world.

She also knew that she would tear down the sky for her child, that she would burn the galaxy to ashes if she was ever lost.

Mirdala sat up, instantly changing gears. It was a jarring shift at times, but a necessary one. Ka’rta was already there, and he needed a moment to take stock anyway.

Standing slowly to work out the contours of his next set of bruises, he spoke softly. “She’s been very happy while you were with Manda’lor, though she crashed out just before you came home.”

Which meant she might not sleep during the night but they both knew how difficult it was to prevent her from crashing out tired if she couldn’t stay awake.

"Looks like another night of not sleeping." She said looking over to him. "Unless she chooses to show us some mercy." All the tiredness and anger she was feeling was slowly slipping away from her. She leaned into Mirdala a little still holding their daughter in her arms. It was almost peaceful, these moments just her and her family. She never thought it possible, her a warrior having a peaceful life. Though it wasn't always that way, she still served, still fought for her Manda'lor, for her home. If anything having something to fight for made her fight harder, made her sharper.

She had not let her skills dull in the peace, she kept them sharp, knowing that it was only a wall of Beskar that kept Mandalor safe.

"You can deal with the Manda'lor next time..." She said in her serious tone, though he could see the glint in her eye when she was joking. "I don't think I've had enough time with our child."

She half rolled her eyes as he walked away. Getting lost in her daughter's eyes. "You a little hungry Tor." The little life fussed. "Well buir is getting that I think." He came back in and she took the bottle from him. "We win every war, eventually." She said with a bit of a smile. "I guess, we can't keep spending our time rebuilding our home every few years." Tor started eating quieting and settling a little. "I would like our ad'ika to see Mandalore complete for once in her life." For just a moment she thought of the future, of a time when her daughter would take her verd'goten. That was something that was taken from her learning how to hunt to become a mandalorian. But that was the future, right now she had everything she needed. Her child in her arms, and her partner next to her.

“Me too,” Mirdala said, drawing them into a family embrace. “Which is why these meetings are important for us all. I’m proud of you, no matter how much you hate them, that you persist with them.”

Mirdala leaned his face into her hair as he closed his eyes, breathing her in, as he would the air he needed to live.

She giggled a little feeling his breath tickle the back of her neck. Turning to look at him she took his lips, lightly and softly. Likely the kindest he'd seen her in a while. "I've faced down an entire droid army." She said pulling away. "Takes more than a few boring meetings for me to back down." Looking down she rested herself against him. "Though you have to put up with me when I come home. Still surprised you keep putting up with it...And looking after Tor."

"Why wouldn't I?" Mirdala said, accepting a hand from Tor, who squeezed his finger. "You're Mandalore's Hand; looking after our child and getting to be with you is easy in comparison to anything else."

He arched an eyebrow and looked at her. "Makes me wonder what you think I'm in this for?"

The voice was jovial, and not at all serious, but it was a big enough one. It had been a year since the Battle of Mandalore, and their meeting as people ready to die and simply wanting to live once before they did. Now they had a lot more living together under their belts than dying together, and of course a daughter too.

She let out a contented hum leaning against him. It was so different having someone still there, still next to her. Part of her life before all this was constant change, people not sticking around long, dying or leaving her when things got rough, or she pushed them away. It felt like she'd done all of that and he was still here, and it was almost like he liked her...loved her even.

How long had they been together, a year at this point, if he hadn't run off now, would he ever? Tor was a joy and a surprise, they didn't expect her, they hadn't even made any vows. They were just being together for as long as it suited them both. Though there came a point in time when they should just admit it.

They loved each other and wither they intended it of not. And they were together.

"So, we going to make this official then?" She said looking up at him. "This might be the best opportunity because I don't do big events."

"Official, eh?" Mirdala smirked. "Is that you asking me to marry you, Ka'rta?" He adopted a look of surprise. "I'm overcome with emotion; truly, I am." Then his grin became full of warmth, and affection; love, even. He kissed her, fully, and little Tor looked at them around the bottle, a little bubble of happiness because while she couldn't speak, or even see all that well at this stage, she could emote, and that was the only way a little child could communicate and understand the world around them.

"Maybe," she said laughing a little holding Tor, even she was picking up on emotion in the room. "You've been hanging out with me for this long." A smile graced her lips as she kissed him again, "We might as well admit what this is." Pulling away she let out a breath. "Mhi solus tome," She started his voice joining hers. "mhi solus dar'tome," They knew these words, each syllable resonating in their hearts, "mhi me'dinui an," Tor giggled looking up at her parents, "mhi ba'juri verde" As they spoke they looked down at their daughter.

We are one whether we are together or apart, we will share everything and we will raise our children as warriors.

The Basic of what they had said resonated in Mirdala's mind, and he drew her into a kiss again.

"Ni kar'tayli gar darasuum, Ka'rta."
