Star Wars Episode VII: The Living Force
Star Wars Episode VIII: Rise of the Dark Side
Star Wars Episode IX: The Will of the Force

 

Each trilogy of titles follows the same pattern:
TPM, ANH -- Three Words / TPM refers to Palpatine and or Anakin. ANH refers to Luke
AOTC, TESB -- Four Words / AOTC referring to Republic, TESB obviously Empire
ROTJ, ROTS -- goes without saying

So I'd say E7 will be three words and refer to a person.

Episode VIII: Fall of the Republic
Episode IX: Rise of the Force

Episode VII: Legacy of the Jedi

 

It won't have anything like 'Jedi' or 'New' in it. That would contrast oddly with Episode IV and Episode VI's titles. But I believe it will likely be something rather vague and reminiscent of 'The Phantom Menace' and 'A New Hope.'

 

Lucas loved the whole cereal/ comic book titles for the Star Wars movies so far. What would he do with the new movies that hasnt been used yet?

 

What hasn't been done yet? The possibilities are nearly limitless. What I think it will be, Dark Force Rising. Yes it's been used before but I think it will make sense later on.

 

George likes Cereal comic books? I've never tasted such a thing! I assume you put it in milk when you eat it?

Really hard to say what a new title might be. Could come out of nowhere like the phantom menace. It might imply a new beginning and perhaps use the word "new". The New Republic or something like that. It def won't use the word sith or Jedi.

 

A New Threat, maybe?

In any case, I hope they drop "Episode VII" from film title, i.e. "Star Wars: (title)", not "Star Wars: Episode VII: (title)". Of course, keep "Episode VII" written in the opening crawl.

No idea what the titles will be but thinking about certain SW terms that have featured in a title so far we have: Clones, Sith, Empire, Jedi. Eps 1 & 4 don't really help on that front. But seems to me the terms: Force, Dark Side or Republic aren't too out there and could feature in some way. Would be great if they picked titles that were on the whole liked. I remember when TPM and AOTC came out there was a lot of WTF? I can see how they fit the serial vibe and I'm OK with them, but it would be great for as many aspects of the ST to be broadly welcomed as opposed to polarizing the fans right off the bat.

I know, who am I kidding?

 

the catchiest title i've ever seen was 'dark force rising' from the zahn series, although the chances of that happening range from extremely dismal to not at all
