Actually I don't think there was a gift shop... Not that I saw anyway. :(

And I was irritated not having a camera too, but the two people I was with were more equipped, and they were snapping away like crazy. Hopefully I'll be able to nab copies of the photos before too long...

I'd be surprised if there wasn't one somewhere. Edinburgh had two - on the top floor and in the basement of the Arts Centre. I had gone with someone who was not as big a fan as me. He had gotten through the whole exhibit and I was still in the basement gift shop..

I was there from about 16:30 (5/4/7) and did not see any sign of one either.

Then again, they were still finishing off the exhibits at that point, wiring everywhere
Not a bad collection overall ( despite the mistakes ) but a bit pricey for whats there.

Troopers looked bloody good mind ;) [face_laugh]

Yes, well there is a good reason for that.

You mean the 3D TV thing? That was cool, I'd like one of those... :)

By the way, the pictures we took of the exhibition are now on my Myspace page if anyone is interested.

    I REMEMBER YOU!!

Sorry I denied you your request to hold my blaster ( I'm not the trooper in your pic , I was one of the one's in the lobby)
But the UKG rules bans us from doing so.

Your mate was mistaken for Johnny Vegas by half the troopers there by the way [face_laugh]

Well that's okay, a Man's blaster is his own affair, lol.

And that's not the first time Simon has been mistaken for Johnny Vegas either [face_laugh] .

Anyway, it was nice to meet you!

I went this morning. it turned out to be a real good choice of day and time - hardly anyone was there and I could examine the exhibits and take pics as long as I wanted. (When I get them sorted out online I will post a link). I liked the lifesize Naboo Starfighter but the light show above it made taking pics pretty hard.
There is no SW merchandise shop inside the exhibit. However, there is one just outside the building. I asked the guy why it wasn't inside and he said it was due to some council regulation. The stand wasn't there when I went in but it was open when I came out. I ended up buying a T-shirt (£14.00 for adult sizes). They had some items - shirts, coffee mugs, pins. There were also a few Kotobukiya statues for £9 cheaper than at Forbidden Planet (I went there afterwards). The guy selling stuff said the exhibit was packed on the weekend and he sold a lot of his Koto figures then. There weren't any other collectable figures.

    hi
i went to the exhibit on sunday, and they did have a very small merchandise store which was set up out the back of the hall, in a portable trailer! In there they had exhibtion t-shirts and stuff, and shirts that said "may the force be with you" and stuff.
I was expecting a bit more there. I loved the exhibition though, it was fabulous!!!

Yeah, that's the place. There are signs for it as you get to the exhibit exit.

Here's some photos I took today. Apologies in advance for the flash - a lot of the exhibit was too dark to do without and some of the rooms were too small to get an angle where the flash wouldn't glare off of something. Also in the album is a pic I took of the life-size Animated Leia that Forbidden Planet have in their window. (This was for the folks in the Collecting forum).

I finally got round to visiting the exhibition today. Glad I got there before school term ends.

I didn't enjoy it as much as the Barbican one though, but it think it was because it was spread out into lots of little rooms.

Anyhow, all my pics are here - http://www.esnips.com/web/FizzbinStarWars

Open until 7pm each day, last entry at 6pm.

Their website doesn't say what the end date for this exhibition is.

I went the week of CE, and really enjoyed it :D
Personally, I prefered it to the Barbican one although the lighting could be better and the shop could do with some more exclusive merchandise, but seeing the original artwork once again was the highlight for me.

It was alright - bit expensive for what it was though! Plus you had to pay extra for the photo's and the green screen - neither of which I did! But it was cool to see some of those things up close and watch the behind the scenes footage - though some of that seemed familiar...

    Hi all

I am with the Los Angeles FF and will be vacationing in London,
starting on Saturday. So, is the exhibit a duplicate of other
exhibits shown in the US? And is it worth the $30.00 or so?

    Thanks!
