I'll be a happy camper either way. Revan is good stuff.

How cool would it be if Ahsoka seeked out the holocron about Revan in order to find out how she can bring Anakin back to the light?

Is this covered in one of the novels? I haven't read any of them. I'd think they began to distrust each other after Bespin.

In the Vader comics you see that Vader definitely has issues with Palpatine.

    Right after ANH

If you ask me, wanting to overthrow the Emperor in ROTS was just darkside delusion. Even if he killed the guy, who does he think would support his rule? There's more to being an Emperor than just murdering the last one, even in SW.

Lucas has no more voice in the new canon.

Vader thought that the Emperor was a wise and good ruler before he became disillusioned because of various reasons (read the Darth Vader comic, it is really good). He actually believed that the Emperor would bring peace and order to the Galaxy eventually, or at least he wanted to believe it as Palps is his daddy figure.

Wow, looks like some serious stuff. And they refer to him as an "Old Jedi Master" Now that was rather different.

Here's my take on might happen (my opinion, so don't take it as gospel):

Ahsoka, Ezra and Kanan return to the Jedi temple on Lothal to seek answers. The group meditate and each get separate responses from the Force. Kanan is taken back to the Jedi Temple and encounters Temple guards, who tell him about the pull of the darkside within their ranks; he later learns that some, not all, become the first Inquisitors due to their combat skills. The person, who he was talking to, was the Grand Inquisitor.

Ezra, again, meets Yoda. The exiled Grand Master questions his desire to become a Jedi and grows concerned that his power is a potential danger but Ezra simply states he is just wanting to protect his friends. The two disagree, but Yoda warns him against the pull of the dark side.

Ahsoka has the most troubling vision of them all. Anakin comes to her, in pain, asking why she has abandoned him. The guilt is still strong and she'll do anything to change the past. Anakin tells him to seek out a Sith temple (on Moraband or Malachor V) to find out how return a Sith to the light. He tells her the legends of Darth Revan were true. Unknown to her, the dark side is clouding her judgement.

All three arrive on this Sith planet. Cautious about what, or who, they will find, Ahsoka and Kanan begin to search the surrounding area. Ezra, however, is drawn to a pillar in the desert. It calls to him. Ahsoka tries to stop him; yet, it's too late, Ezra touches it and a path opens to an underground temple. For reasons we don't know, we have to assume all three are split up because Ezra ends up alone and finds himself removing a Sith holocron. A beacon or weapon, he triggers something. A red beam shoots out from the planet and into space.

Vader and his Inquisitors immediately sense a disturbance in the Force.

Either lost in the temple or underground, Ezra encounters an old hermit; almost how Luke first comes upon Yoda. Not taking his chances, Ezra draws his blade and the old hermit starts talking about the Force and asking if he is a Jedi. Refusing to answer, this stranger ask if he is after knowledge after noticing (more like sensing) a Sith holocron; at this point, Ezra makes a move, but is disarmed rather quickly. The hermit promises he means no harm and, like Ezra, is after knowledge too and offers to teach him. He tells Ezra his name is "old master" and Ezra somehow kneels before him (this usually meant accepting Sith apprentice status). "Old master" says Ezra should return to his group and not to worry because "old master" will remain in contact with him. Ezra might have been told how to open a Sith holocon, but who knows at this point.

And here comes Vader. He wants the holocron and Ezra - alive. Vader sense how strong the Force is in him and knows Ezra needs to be taken alive. Ahsoka steps in and tells Ezra to run; she refuses to accept the truth about Anakin and is more or less on the defensive. Vader points out flaws in her attack and mentions how she never improved. The rest of the Ghost crew come to the rescue, but she tells them to leave without her. Rex refuses to leave and is killed.

Ahsoka is sent over the edge; embraces the dark side, a bit, and throws herself at Vader; he cruelly compliments her on the rage and anger, almost encouraging her to go further. Vader promises to spare her life - if she joins him. A moment of hesitation and Ahsoka is disarmed.

As she lays on the floor, apologises to Anakin and for leaving him - Vader makes one more offer. Join him or die.

Show ends and we have to wait until season 3.

After the credits, Ezra is shown on the Ghost with the Sith Holocron.

I think Yoda is meant, not Maul.

The Season could simply end with Ezra joining Maul.

Isn't Ezra supposed to grow between this season and next? Physically I mean. If he joins Maul it could explain another time jump.

I have been thinking there would be a time jump for season 3 to bring it closer to Rogue One.

Not sure if this has been brought up or covered, but the voice of the Jedi guardsman who talks to Kanan in the trailer sounds an awful lot like James Arnold Taylor, specifically Plo Koon.

    Theory time everyone!

What if Maul just completely destroys the inquisitors who vader sends after him when he is dealing with Ahsoka?

That would be a very cool way for Maul to let Palpatine know that he is back in Town. :)
