Given that Luke is unfortunately out of the picture, I could see Ahsoka being the character to restart and reform the Jedi Order and if they went that route, it would make sense for her to get a lot of screen time. It's just a random thought, but it would make sense with what her character arc has been so far. How she became disillusioned with the Order as it was at the time of the Clone Wars, but is still an active Force user by the time of Rebels. Who knows - maybe the Rebels sequel will lead up to that...

The only way they have kept ahsoka around is by not having her be a Jedi. that way they can say all the Jedi are gone, even though she is around. that way Luke can be the last Jedi, even if she is around. its cheap but thats how it is.

I guess its down to each individual viewer but being a Jedi in all but name but saying no she's not a Jedi really doesn't work imo

Because how many people care about Thrawn, Sabine, Ezra etc. I like Ahsoka but I do not like her involvement in everything that is animated

I would think people excited about a Rebels sequel would care about Ezra...

Ahsoka would make more sense here than the Mandalorian. Once again we have another “last of the Jedi” issue where she needs to be out of the picture before the age of Rey being a last hope comes along so it would make sense for her to have a proper animated Filoniverse sendoff (be it a heroic death or some other contrived “mission in a distant part of the galaxy” scenario)

I mean we know Ahsoka is dead by the time of TROS, which means she was probably dead by the events of TFA as well. And I freely accept the idea that she left the Jedi order and is no longer a Jedi. She's just not a Jedi. She's a Force user.

I was certain she would be gone by Order 66. Like it or not, they always find a way to keep her around. They’ll find a way for her to not be dead by TROS. Her voice will have been her communicating to the future from her time in the World Between Worlds or something

If Filoni has anything to say about it, i think she will live past episode 9. they will just make some excuse for why you could hear her voice ect ect.

By the time of Rebels, I don't think of her as a Jedi anymore. She walked away from the Order and, while she still continues to try to be a good person and a Force wielder, she no longer holds to the ideals of the Jedi. But that doesn't mean, she could never return. I wouldn't want her to recreate the Order as it was, but couldn't her experiences make her the perspective needed to create the new Jedi i.e. an Order of Jedi that doesn't repeat the mistakes of the past?

Many people who like Rebels don’t like Ezra. That holds true even after his character development in later seasons

I think most people who watch rebels like Ezra by the end. I always see comments on star wars about stories of Ezra and Thrawn. Ezra has grown out of aladdin phase and gotten more popular with people more poepl like him now.

Yeah I like Ezra's character because I like how he grows over the four seasons. He is absolutely annoying, immature and impulsive in the first two seasons. I love how he evolves and grows up. Some of my favorite shows (Lost being one) have taught me that characters don't have to always be "likeable" to be great characters. I think Ezra is supposed to be broken, immature and questionable when Kanan first finds him. I care so much about Ezra at the end of Rebels because of what we go through with him. What he becomes after where he comes from.

Ezra at the end of Rebels is in similiar situation to Luke, when from being whiny and annnoying to becoming a likeable and strong character.

It's well-known that Filoni is really protective of that character as we saw from her confrontation with Vader and its aftermath. He initially made it ambiguous at first and then told us that was it for Ahsoka in Rebels. A few months later, thanks to the overwhelming positive reactions to the S2 finale, he changed his mind and his answer was that Ahsoka was saved by a dimensional portal at the last possible moment. TBF though and as far as I'm concerned, there was no doubt she didn't die in TotA as we actually see her going downstairs so really, Filoni had to find a plausible way to explain how did she survive this confrontation. I remember him or Pablo Hidalgo (or both) stating that if it was Rex instead, he would have made it much less ambiguous. It's because it was Ahsoka that the Force could "intervene" somehow. If something major happens to Ahsoka in this series or elswhere, you can bet he will do it all over again, then he will tease her fans for x years before giving us a definitive answer.

I think this series will not just focus on the search for Ezra. Maybe it will have 2 or 3 main storylines (Sabine and Ahsoka's POV, Ezra and Thrawn post-Liberation of Lothal in the Unknown Regions? and Hera, Jacen (and Zeb) after the war). I really like the theory that the series main goal will be to reunite this found family. How long will it take for them to found Ezra (one or two seasons?) and then what? dealing with the Grysks or will they let that storyline to Timothy Zahn's Thrawn books? Are Sabine and Ahsoka still together by the time of the Mandalorian series which happens 5 years after Endor? How will the FO factor into this?

Well ahsoka has had 2 monumental times that she could have been killed off. during order 66. and by Vader in Rebels. both times she survived. so i do think Filoni will have ahsoka survive episode 9.

I have no doubt about this but there's plenty of time before we'll get Ahsoka stories in the ST era which I doubt the show will address considering we're not that far after episode VI, unless there's another time jump at the very end of the show and we get a glimpse of her after the Battle of Exegol but that seems too early for me. I'm more interested in new characters honestly. Hopefully, there will be other Force wielders with a different understanding of the Force, ancient beings who are far removed from events in the Galaxy etc. Simply give me more Force weirdness please. I also want to see Hera being a mom to Jacen.

Filoni has already had his say about it. Filoni said Ahsoka was not dead when her voice was heard in TROS.

Filoni just can't bring himself to kill her off. you would think like most of the characters she would meet her end at some point in them 50 years.

We will probably find out she was born just before the events of episode 1 next ;)

I know everbody rag hard on Filoni for not killing her on the clone wars or in Rebels with Darth Vader. But im think even Filoni knows it's time for her to die berfore the ST trilogy, she can be up to 50--60 when she dies and thats a good end for her. I think the only reason he says she still lives post ST is because he odsen't want to give anything away and he's all about a certain point of veiw.

There’s only one thing I wanna see in this series: an Ahsoka/Chewbacca reunion. 10 years after we saw them meet for the first time in Season 3 of The Clone Wars.
