Interesting. The ISD looks more like an ISDII than an ISDI.

And the walker looks like an intermediate in size between the AT-ST and the AT-AT. I like the notion of that.

Yep Pat Presley is one of the concept artists for Rebels and before that TCW.

 

Very very cool to see some of that sexy Imperial tech; however, am I the only one who thinks the Star Destroyer looks like it's made out of wood?

 

Maybe both classes are common in this era?

 

It looks exactly like McQuarrie's artwork, so neither of them.

 

The array between the domes is shorter - more like on the ISD 2 than the painting's one (what little can be seen of it on the distant Star Destroyer)

And the domes themselves are more like those of the ISD2 model than the ISD1 model.

 

It's an old model from way back, from the Battle of Ruusan.

 

There's a joke in there somewhere about Gamorreans and Star Destroyers made of straw and brick, but it's too early to find it...

Everyone is saying that based on that Ezra will be extremely annoying...but honestly that is pretty much exactly how a 14-year-old boy living on the streets would react to the Empire, so you know...plus, I doubt he's going to say "Jerktroopers" or "Ezra rules" on-screen. I hope.

 

Plus that's how everyone tends to sound in these in-universe diary things: extremely obnoxious.

 

From the looks of things Ezra alone is going to make me root for the empire.

 

That journal is the stupidest thing I've seen in a long time. Wishing hard for an "alternate ending" where this kid gets gunned down in the first 5 minutes...

Harsh, I know, but wow is that dumb.

Wonder how many times we will hear such wonderful terms as "slime-o", "poodoo", and "yipee".

 

I'll probably love this series, but yeah, that journal looks really dumb. I want his obvious rabid hatred for the Imperial forces to be based in something more than just "they're the bad guys", and I hope that the actual series is better written than a mockup of a journal that can't decide if the character is in his teens or six years old. If his dislike and childishness is rooted in something, like his parents being imprisoned or killed by the Empire, then it makes more sense, but the execution is still rather wanting.

 

I was going to say, "Stormtroopers aren't the Imperial Army!" But...I guess now they are!

Which, honestly, is a change I'm fine with, since if nothing else it cuts down on the headaches of them being essentially used as the Imperial Army in everything in the old EU anyways.

 

Yep, I didn't even know they weren't supposed to be the army until a friend told me, and even then I thought he was mistaken. Who are, or were, the actual army?
